http://www.ebay.com/itm/3D-Curved-Full-Cover-Tempered-Glass-Screen-Protector-For-Sony-Xperia-XA1-Ultra/253077451787?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=552153049207&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

Just to report back to you guys
Well the 3D screen I have showed you
In the link is not as in the picture curved on the edges.. But It does cover the hole screen
So I have one on my Xperia
If I don't forget will make some pictures too
Now with the soft transparent case it is 100% protected couse before there was a little gap
Now the screen protection is just about that big to reach the edge of the case
So one edge is reaching the other
I mean between the case and screen

[General] Finally a Scratch on my Xperia Ray's Screen.!

After 20 falls , uncountable number of bumps... , keys and phone together ...
And finally today!!! My screen got scratched but just a teeny bit!
And its on the screen protector!!
All i can say is this phone is tooo durable...
Tell me your experiences with screen getting scratched
My back cover got a (very) little clicky after some drop from table to hard floor, just bend it hard with hand and no clicky now, lolz. The screen protector is covered with scratch now, not a problem.
But the soft touch started to peeled off on the corner now. I have another white back cover but it's not look as good as the black one (really wish for a glossy black one) anyone know how to convert the soft touch one to glossy?
The soft touch on my black jack (i607) in old days: bruised as hell but never peel off.
Me too facing the peeling of the back cover at the corners. Can anyone suggest from where i can buy another back cover ?
me too. im looking for someone who sells a back cover for my xperia ray
I got my camera sensor scratched (sort of, it looks like it lost a layer of plastic in a few spots), the back cover losing it's matte surface in the corners, and some of the paint in one of the metallic corners and I take maniacal care of it and never dropped it once.
I also had 2 white pixels and could not get it replaced because unless the screen has FOUR bad pixels on the same line they are not supposed to replace it as it's not defective.
That being said, do you think it's more likely to win at the national lottery or to have 4 dead pixels on the same line out of 409.920 pixels?

Back cover no, sorry; but after you get one, a gel cover like this one is handy. I'm very satisfied with it.
But i will become yellow after a time .
I have the same just buy one made in leather it cost 3 dollars with free shipping on ebay
I have buy back cover on ebay,.. original.
yeah I have a scratch on the screen, even is have a screen protector
(in whisper) isn't this the development forum?:silly:
WELL theres no General Forum for The Ray ...
Just two little visible scratches in the protector screen, and some more "invisible" (they're only visible at the sun).
Yes, very durable phone. I love it.
I have a little crack on my screen, don't even know what it's from..
actually i'm an ROTC Cadet which means all the things in your pocket usually bumps to stone whenever senior officers give you exercise. my ray never had scratches on the screen, but a lot of scratches at the back cover, i must say that this beautiful monster is really durable.
if you wear it inside a case there should be no need for other protections
:cyclops:
I had a few drops but was smart enough to have a rubber-plastic mixed cover for it. It has saved me from quite a few heart attacks.
I have dropped it a couple of times but the phone has not received any damage... but some days ago I noticed that the crystal of the camera sensor has some blur on it because of alcohol splatter (I don't think these marks could be removed ) and also two red pixels on the center of the screen that are only noticeable when I set a black background... other than those the phone is perfect

Exactly, I can't see our phone in the general forum for mini/pro/active so...
OnT: Mine have managed too stay pretty shiny but I almost missed the bus going to work one day so I had to run my a%# off and suddenly I feel a jerky motion from my headphones and the music stops. Man did that phone fly or what, I think it was 10 feet between the phone, battery and backpiece :/
Just put everything together and it was like new besides a scratch on the screen (and I don't even use screenprotection )
Still, looks pretty good though.
Sent from my Paranoid SGS2
That looks like a screen protector to me on the second picture.
yeh looks like screen protectors
Lot's of scratches... I think the screen isn't so good what iphone 4 had but still better phone than any apple/samsung

*Heads up* Cheap eBay Screen protector's not a good fit!

I picked up 6 for $2 off ebay for the Idol 3.....they are easy to identify because they have a square notch cut out at the top for the camera....avoid these if you can...they are not a perfect fit and are slightly shorter than they need to be. If you align them to the top of the phone you will have a gap at the bottom AND you will have the camera blocked by the screen protector in spite of the notch which doesn't come down low enough. If you align to the bottom then obviously the top has a gap. This is especially an issue for THIS phone since it's fully reversible and in fact I use that mode in the car alot so that it will sit in the cup holder with the port on the top. The seller tried to state I'd applied it incorrectly but did not respond to my question of how it could be misapplied without one side or the other overlapping the end of the phone. It's minor but when you swipe down to get notification tray you'll brush your finger over the edge of the screen protector...this gives a spot that will trap grime and possibly pull the screen protector up if you catch it just right.
These were obviously cut before the phone was actually in their hands...so spend a few dollars more and skip the aggravation. I attached the same pics I sent the seller.
i bought an skinomi one on amazon for like 9 bucks 12$ in total with the shipping i have heard of skinomi being a good brand you can check this one out here http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00WL4V95I?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00
as you can see it even leaves some holes for the sensors and the camera but covers the LED but i dont mind that though will make a new thread when it arrives and after i install it ill post some pics
I just received these screen protectors (3pcs for $2.18) and the cut is very precise. There are other size packs as well, with 2pcs for $1.78 up to 6pcs for $2.98. There is also a tempered glass one available for under $7 but it is sold out right now. Shipping is also very fast since the seller is in the US (I can't post links yet):

These protectors have a circle-slot cutout for the camera and proximity sensor rather than the ones with the huge notch cutout from the top edge like some of the other cheap badly fitting ones I ordered before. The fit is so precise (virtually exact on the left and right edges, and less than 1mm on the top and bottom edges) that it's easy to align this protector since the glass has a very very slight lip going around the edge. The other ones on eBay and Amazon with the circle-slot cutout seem to go for about $5-6 for 3pcs, so these seem like a good deal and aren't that much more than the badly fitting huge notch ones.
The seller even pointed to this YouTube video for installation, which I thought was very clever:
w w w. y o u t u b e. c o m /watch?v=_oJX99p3kEc
I taped from the top edge though, and then pulled the underside backing away from top just a little bit, then immediately flipped it over to apply the protector to the screen, then pulled the rest of the backing away from top to bottom underneath (instead of right to left shown in the video) to have as little chance as possible for dust to get in underneath.

The "wet application" method of some water with dish detergent in it seems to work well for applying as well. Much easier to "squeegee" some water out with a credit card into some paper towels then to try to work out air.
http://www.amazon.com/Mr-Shield-One...sim_107_6?ie=UTF8&refRID=0GQJRHD6PQC791ZS6A8T I'm using the Mr. Shield and it's fitment is pretty good. Could've been perhaps 1/32nd or 1/64th of an inch longer, but it'll do the job. As long as the glass doesn't get scratched, that's what's important.
Using a tempered glass since I got the phone, and it working really well. I'd say go with the glass protector.

Which one are you using? And how it's it holding up?
I also ordered a tempered glass one from ebay for $7-8 but have not yet applied it. I have not previously applied a glass one so I've been viewing vid's since applying them is different vs the flimsy ones.
How vital is it to use a screen protector for Idol 3? Is the glass not that strong? I have always used protectors on my Nexus phones and our iPad has one, too. But I don't use one on my Nexus tablets and haven't had a problem. If I'm carrying the Idol 3 in my pocket, are scratches likely?
Re: the Mr. Shield protectors, I'm considering ordering a set. I get the impression from their website and the instructional videos that they're the exact same protectors as the Halo Direct ones I've been using. Temporarily, I put a Nexus 4 Halo Direct protector on my Idol 3 screen, which doesn't give full coverage, of course. Because there's about 1/3" that isn't covered, I can see the contrast between the colors beneath the protector and those that aren't. There's a very slight dulling of the color using the protector, fwiw.
In any case, I'd sort of prefer to stop using protectors and cases. But as I just got this phone, and am not entirely sure I'll keep it beyond the 30 day return period (I do like it so far, even if it's a little sluggish, as billed), I want to make sure that it's eligible for a refund if that's what I end up wanting.
It looks like the whole screen protector needs to go down 1mm so the top and bottom will be symmetrical. Right now its too high its touching the camera.
You can also easily remove the dust and bubbles under your screen protector if you use the sticky side on scotch tape to pull them out
Hope that helps!
Just got a 3 pack of Mr. Shields from amazon. Good fit (they are a tad smaller than actual screen size, which kinda helps with install) and probably one of the easiest protectors I have ever put on. Went on with zero bubbles in the 1st try. Just used their tutorial video on the website. Recommended for $5.99 for a 3 pack with lifetime warranty.
thanks for the info, will get one too.

The Mr. Shield ones fit fine, but I was very disappointed with how easily they got scratched.

Supershieldz Tempered Glass Screen Protector

So Jank4AU was gracious enough to send me a SuperShieldz TGSP for the XL he was sent wrongly (thanks!)
I compared it to some other brands side by side and realized they are all the same exact cut. Except this one was a tad thicker and the edges were really smoothly rounded. I also noticed it wasn't picking up fingerprints like some others and decided to install it on my device as soon as I unboxed it. I turned on the shower for some steam to cut down the dust before installing. With plenty of lighting, I tried to align it as best I could, but the shadows played a trick depending on which angle you look at it.
It fit quite nicely, better than I expected and no haloing effect. I'll attach some pictures, let you be the judge. (you can see the album HERE)
Purchased the orzly full coverage in black and received it today. The cutouts are perfect and was super easy to install. Come just shy of the edge of the glass panel so most cases with a minimal lip should fit just fine. The black one of a true black though and the black pixel is more of a charcoal color. But with the amount of coverage I don't notice it that much. The dot matrix under the LCD portion of rather annoying and VERY easy to see in direct sunlight buy not as noticeable at night or indoors. I have no haloing as of yet. There is also no adhesive around the proximity sensor.

I just installed my white Orzly TGSP yesterday. Does the black part of yours cover any of the pixels on your screen? The white part of mine actually hides a tiny bit of the screen on all sides. I have about a perfect install with all cutouts perfectly centered, so they were good with that okay but I'm not sure I like the screen being covered by the opaque area.

Looks good. If the fit and stick is as good on the non-XL, I may consider the Supershieldz if Inskin can't resolve my horrible haloing with theirs.

Small Screen Crack

I dropped my S7 the other day and I now have a small crack that goes from around the headphone jack and curves around to the left side of the screen to the edge about an inch up. There may even be a tiny nick down in the black section, I'm not certain. It's in a place where the crack doesn't bother me very much at all (especially since 1/2 of it is in the black section at the bottom off the screen), so I don't mind working with the crack, I just don't want things to get worse.
What's the best way to protect my phone from here on out to give me the best chance of things not getting worse?
I got a tempered glass screen protector (one with the top and bottom black part), but sensitivity is terrible. I have to push harder around the edges and I find swipe typing to be more difficult as well. Also, either I got a piece of dust under that's annoying or the top already got a nick. On the other hand, it seems as if this does provide some very good protection for the crack as as well as visually hiding much of it.
What about getting a dbrand skin for the front only? Since much of the crack is in the black section, the dbrand skin would cover that part. Is that of any help at all?
Any other suggestions?
Anyone have any thoughts on if I put a front dbrand skin, if that will both hide the crack in the black section of the phone and provide some support to prevent things from getting worse. With the skin and no screen protector though, then the part of the crack that's over the screen has nothing over it.

Rhinoshield Solidsuit and Impact Screen Protector for 6T

Attached are the photos of the 6T solid suit and the impact screen protector that I just installed this morning. The solid suit feels amazing and the screen protector is film and feels like glass, but is definitely not glass, just so there is no confusion there. It does seem to go from left edge to right edge completely and where I placed it seems to cover the entire screen top to bottom. The slider on the case really works and the buttons are fantastic; smooth and clicky, not at all hard to press. I love both and I'm glad I got them ordered on Black Friday now because two protectors and a case was not inexpensive but they are both super high quality and way more affordable than the glass one from T-Mobile so I'm happy with my purchase. If you have any questions I'll try my best to answer them!
Also, don't mind the doggo, she likes being in pictures.
Can u tell me how the side buttons are? Are they still clicky? Or are they mushy like the stock case that comes with the phone....
And how's the slider button? Is it flimsy?

The buttons are great, I handed someone else my phone so two people could verify that they are very clicky and easy to push. The slider has some play in it up and down but it does work correctly when it hits the slider on the device. No issues with functionality at all this is a really great case.

I tried crashguard on op6 and hated it. I think I'll like the solid suit better. Thanks for the pics. Screen protector is intriguing also, seems very clear....
Thankfully I waited I can get the print backs now. Just waiting or one particular one to be available
Is the screen protector you have on This one? It says "Not Full Coverage" on it... I can't see clearly on your photos how close to the edge of the screen the screen protector comes to... I had the same impact screen protector on my old Samsung Galaxy S7, and it didn't even cover the full screen on the left and right, which is the reason I didn't order this screen protector for my 6T..
how slick is the screen protector compared to the pre-applied plastic one from OP?

Sorry about the late response I'm traveling abroad. I have the impact screen protector as the tempered glass one is for the back I think. Anyway, as far as not full coverage I think what they mean is that it covers the visible screen but not the edges past that. It doesn't extend fully top to bottom either but it does cover all the visible screen space as far as I can tell; no obvious cutoff of the screen though it does require precise placement to line it up properly.

Much slicker definitely. Feels like glass but definitely doesn't get rid of oil the way glass does. It feels good to the touch and it is very strong as I dropped on a stool and it bounced onto a hardwood floor right after that. There was no damage to the screen, but the protector did crack so I'll replace it when I get home. It did very well holding up to direct impact on a metal stool; lived up to the hype for me.
Can u take better pictures of the screen protector again?

The impact resistance shatters? I thought it was some type of plastic film.

I also purchased a SolidSuit (with the lens mount) for my 6T and while I like the build material, I don't like the little details. Let me explain:
1) The back of the case has this weird look and feel like it's made from three separate medium-fiber density board with a black sticker over it. I can actually feel the transitions between the three pieces and I don't like it. See the attached picture.
2) There is a noticeable gap at the top of the phone where the back meets the bumper edge. However, on the bottom, it's completely flush. My pockets are clean, but somehow dust and small particles find its way into that tiny gap. Ugh,
3) The special lens adapter is amazing since I am now able to mount the Moment 18mm WIDE V2 lens. However, since the bayonet mount sits so far away from the camera lens, it creates vignetting. FYI: The OP6T and the OP6 share the same lens adapter. I bought both. They are labeled differently, but they are identical in every way: height, mounting point, etc. If they did this correctly, the adapter for the OP6T should be SHORTER since it does NOT have the same camera height protrusion as the oneplus 6.

It didn't shatter really, it just cracked along a seam where the impact was. When I get back home in two days I'll try to get pictures of the crack and the screen protector.
