Huawei Y6 Elite (LYO-L02) restarting automatically. - Huawei Y6 Questions & Answers

Phone doesn’t respond at all to any combination of buttons being pressed while not plugged in. Once I connect a cable, this happens>> www_youtube_com/watch?v=8tATkzFJUgU (This is my first post and apparently I'm unable to post links to Youtube. Please replace '_'s with '.')
Because it doesn’t respond while unplugged, I’m assuming that the battery is completely drained, and the restarting issue is preventing it from charging while it is plugged in.
The power button “seems” fine, although it’s acting as though the button is stuck on.
This phone has a lot of other issues too (not to mention the cracked screen!), but I’m pretty sure I can fix them all if I could get into Recovery/Fastboot mode. But the restart issue is preventing this.
If I try holding down any of the buttons while it’s doing it’s restart, it stops and just stays blank.
This issue only begins when plugged in, and is the same whether connected to either a PC or wall socket.
PC detects the phone in Device Manager for a split second, then loses connection when it restarts.
This is super frustrating as I have no other way of charging the battery and want my data from the phone.
Any ideas? Please help!

Hi, I see that your post dates from almost a year ago. Mine has the same issue ...
Did you manage to solve this problem?

[Q] HELP! Atrix does not power on!

Ok so I was at work listening to music when my phone froze. Pulled the battery, which was only at about 85%, and tried to restart. And, nothing. No green light, no dual core screen. Tried four different chargers, including OEM Motorola charger, and tried hooking up to my home PC. Only thing that happens is when I hook up to the PC without the battery in the green light comes on. Power button still doesn't turn the phone on. Just turns off the light. I tried to search, but the closest I found was people stuck at the dual core screen or people who didn't realise their batteries were dead. If it helps, I'm unlocked, rooted, and running GingerMod 2.3.6. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
Sam issue
I am having the same issue with my wife's phone. We both have Atrixes and I have tried swapping batteries and her battery works fine in my phone. I still can't get it to start up. No green light when plugged into the charger but a solid green when plugged into usb on my PC. How did you end up solving your issue?
I got this problem once. To fix, pull battery out, plug in wall charger to phone (without battery), should boot to the battery with question mark icon, plug battery back in.
I work at a cell phone repair store , and from reading your symptoms I think you might have an issue with the flex cable running your LCD. In the atrix if you drop it there is a possibility of shaking the flex cable off your board, and its a matter of micro soldering or just connecting the cable. I DO NOT suggest doing it yourself. If you want it done professionally call my work. 6053350411

I solved this problem with wall charger
Will anyone here elaborate how to fix it again?
If I plug it in wall charger, no response and no light.
If I plug it in USB, green lights on without battery, no light with battery.
In any case, pressing the power button cannot power on the device.
Please help. Thanks.
Sounds to me like your battery is having issues. Maybe try getting a new battery?
Thanks for your quick reply. I have actually got a new battery already. Still the same behaviour.
Then I can only assume it's the phone. Perhaps the charging circuit. In any case, sorry but I have nothing to recommend. :dunno:
If the plugging it into the wall without a battery in it didnt work... then try waiting for the phone to boot (assuming that it still is and the LCD is disconnected) and swipe where the unlock button normally is, pressing volume up or down, or perhaps try ghosting to adb and run adb devices in the command line... or simply try calling it lol. Also a good piece of information to get... does the backlight come on? If you can prove that the phone is in fact running, then it is most likely the lcd cable as someone said...

Thanks for your advice. I didn't drop the phone before it went to "no-response" status. I just put it on a HD dock for charging and the next day it doesn't boot anymore. I have put in HD dock for charging for a few weeks already.
My phone doesn't boot at all. I don't see any backlight or any special response. Or It does something that I don't know. I tried to plug into USB after pressed the button. If it's on, the computer should detect a device, right?
Any ideas are welcomed, i will try all.

[Q] Faulty Battery, or Hard Bricked?

Hello everyone. I have a problem and I need some of that friendly XDA assistance.
I have been using the AT&T LGOG for about a year now, and have it rooted, unlocked, and flashed CyanogenMod.
I left my phone to charge, plugged into the outlet. When I unplugged it, the screen failed to turn on, remaining black, but the soft keys lit up. I pressed the power button, but no response. Then the soft keys back light went out. The phone, I guess, just shut off. So, I tried turning it on. Instead of the usual Google bootloader logo, the screen remains black. I hold the power button, and nothing happens.
So I plugged it in, and tried turning it on again. The red notification light on the power button illuminates solidly for a couple seconds, then steadily flashes. I have encountered this before, so I know I have no battery and leave it to charge. After an overnight charge, however, I try turning it on again, but am greeted by the same red flashes.
I've tried charging it with different chargers, cables, plugging it into the computer, using different usb computer ports, all with no change in results. When plugged into my computer, it shows up as unknown device, but when i try turning it on, as the notification light flashes, it changes from unknown device to hid compliant device in device manager, but back to unknown device if i let go. I have tried putting it in download mode, but the screen does not show a trace of life. LGNPST fails to detect the device.
I have searched and found in other threads similar occurences. I suspect the battery is at fault here. But before I do a battery pull, I want to make sure I have tried everything else. I cannot RMA it as it is out of warranty, has a large crack on the back, and has a custom rom.
Assistance is requested and appreciated!

The problem is it had a kernel crash, what you need to do is get a torx screw driver, i recommend buying it at sears they have a small screw driver with changeable screws for like 3$ they come in different colors, open the phone & then you will see the battery they have some screws in it as well, screw them off & un-plug the battery gently as the cable is pretty fragile, then plug it right back in; the phone will turn on
hope it helps

[Q] Tricky brick question, stuck at charging screen, won't boot

Hi,
I recently helped a friend to change a broken digitizer glass screen on a Nokia Lumia 920 with RM-821. I ordered the new digitizer on ebay from china/hongkong so can't say anything about its functionality or possible compatibility issues.
When I started to change the digitizer the battery was very low. When I thought everything was done properly and the phone was put together again, and tried to start it, and nothing happened. I think I also tried a vol down+power button soft reset, and i remember i got some feedback from the vibrator but nothing from the screen. Well, I took it apart again and quickly discovered that the screen cable wasn't properly attached, so I attached it. (afterwards I saw somewhere that a low-battery soft-reset was a sure way to brick the phone...)
Next step, I've put the phone together and try to start it, nothing happens. Connect to charger, after some seconds a vibration, followed by the Nokia logo and then a screen with a flash and a cog-wheel (nothing animated). This is the state it is permanently stuck in. The only way to "start it" is to connect the charger and wait. If the charger is disconnected at the Nokia logo then it goes to the "no-battery"-icon and the powers off. At the flash-cogwheel it is possible to restart the phone by holding vol-down+power.
I let the charger be in for multiple hours, still the same thing. Took out the battery and charged it manually with external charger and some home-made wiring. That charger directly indicated that the battery was full with its indicator LED, but i still let it be for around an hour. Conclusion: battery is charged and most likely were charged in the phone.
I've tried to connect it through Nokia Software Updater for Retail 4.2.1, and the "my phone doesn't boot"-option doesn't find the phone after holding vol-down+power. (as described here http://www.wpcentral.com/suffering-spinning-cogs-issue-nokia-windows-phone-fix and other places)
No connection with Nokia Care Suite 5.4.119 either, using method as described here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=47195500
SUMMARY
Since connecting the charger starts the phone, some part of the usb must work. The screen apparently work, don't know about the digitizer obviously. Since it is possible to restart from "flash+cog-wheel"-screen the side buttons aren't dead. Since removing the charger at the "flash-cog-wheel" screen doesn't power off the phone the battery does in fact work.
Naturally I can't rule out that I managed to break something on the mainboard when I changed the digitizer, even though I don't think so.
Hope somebody can help!

Xperia Z5 Compact fully charged but not turning on

Hello,
My phone's battery was starting to have issues so I bought a new one and replaced it yesterday. I've done it recently on another phone (same model) so knew what I was doing when reassembling it, with the right adhesives and everything. Then I left it plugged for the night as this was advised by the new battery's seller. But this is what happens this morning when I try to turn it on:
- Phone doesn't vibrate when pressing the power button, neither when holding different combinations of Power + volume, etc.
- When I plug it this is what happens: imgur[dot]com/fByubwN The screen turns on as it would normally do, displays the 100% charged battery logo and then just dies (with the green led remaining). The only way to turn the screen on is to unplug and plug it again. But the phone itself isn't booting.
Any thoughts appreciated!

I'd say that the battery is at fault. It can be two things:
- it is not correctly plugged (maybe the connector is not perfectly aligned, or one of the pins is bended)
- it is completely depleted, so won't charge at all.
Disconnect phone from charger and try to test voltage on the motherboard with a voltmeter. If you can't read anything, disconnect the battery and test it directly.
Personally I would say the first problem is more likely - a completely bricked battery is not that common.
Actually the battery was fine. I've opened it again and turns out I've kind of messed up with the flex connectors of the motherboard.
So I was able to boot it while it's open but as soon as I reassemble it, the controls are not detected anymore. It's a matter of millimeters, some parts probably don't sit properly, etc.
We spent some time on it with a guy at a local repair shop, the conclusion was that I had to get a new phone, or a new motherboard which is almost the same haha.
Thank you for taking the time to reply!

Umdigi F1 Crashed and now won't turn on.

Hi i purchased the phone in January the phone has been working fine no problems at all until last night. I was playing football manager which i imagine is quite a heavy game to play but something i do regularly and have no issue usually. i got a text so i switched to whatsapp and the phone crashed, so i did a hard reset holding the power button down and it booted backup but then crashed again immediate.
tired to do the hard reset again but it just went to a black screen and haven't been able to turn it back on again since.
so basically the phone is non responsive to anything i'm not getting a charging sign or any sort of sign the phone is working no vibrations sound nothing. the battery was on about 80% before it went of so pretty confident that's not dead.
things i've tried so far:
Hard reset holding down the power button
boot select holding down the power button and volume down button.
I've been trying to connect it to my laptop now this is a slight positive but where i've come up stuck, the laptop makes the sound as if its been connected then 5 seconds later it will disconnect then reconnect disconnect and so on.
I've changed the power setting for usb ports no change, i've tried holding down the power button on the phone as to reset it incase it stuck in boot mode or something but no change.
My next step is to take the back of the phone and remove the battery for 30 seconds or so. but with the phone still being under warranty i'm a
bit reluctant to do that plus i'm pretty confident its a software issue.
Update: after deciding to open it up i've disconnected the batter and the screen plugged it in and still getting the same connection/disconnection issue. it will connect then disconnect within 5 seconds max thne connect and disconnect. thought disconnection the battery may do the trick as i haven't tried to flash it or anything like that just gone wrong on it's own. I've now voided my warrenty but want to get this sorted anyone got any idea as to what could be causing the issue?
Thank you for taking the time to read it all and suggestions are appreciate thank you

Thanks for replying, that's what I've been trying to do but the phone won't stay connected to a pc. I connect to the pc and it will disconnect within 5 seconds then reconnect disconnect just constantly doing that. I thought Maybe if I unplug the battery it may get it out of that loop but even with the battery disconnected as soon I connect it to usb it still does the same loop. It hasn't got any lights or vibrations, to look at the phone it's non responsive thee only response I can get it the computer connecting and disconnecting constantly.

That mean that, your phone is waiting for flash and when it don't get it it just restart and do the same think. It happended to me when i flashed wrong twrp. Just select firmware in sp-flash tool and click download. Than plug your phone into your pc and wait for next restart. If nothing happens you will have to download mediatek drivers.
(My english is really bad, i really sorry) Hello good evening. Excuse me, did you find any solution? Did you request a guarantee from UMIDIGI? What happens is that I was charging the phone and started watching YouTube, in an instant the phone went off and did not want to turn on definitively. It does not respond to my PC or the charger.
I clarify that the entry is good, I had 40% and I set about the task of looking for more problems of this style and I found two similar to mine, and yours would be the third problem that I see of this nature. Should I contact support and ask for a guarantee? I don't know what to do. Thanks.
