Headphones - HTC Desire 825 Questions & Answers

Which are the best headphones, with surround sound? any suggestions?

The original ones that came with the device are very good in my opinion. Idk anything about aftermarket ones.

Totally off topic: Headphones!

I'm looking for better quality headphones for the HD. I see Sennheiser make a set with a mic and button for the iPod, that appears to have the same banded 3.5mm jack as the HD, bit I'm not sure if it is the same configuration as the HD.
I really want to make and take calls, but I need better music quality than the branded set that ship with it.
Anyone used anything else?
Sennheiser MM50iP Headset
I have been using the Sennheiser MM50iP Headset for months now and would recommend it - it works fine with the Touch HD although it does not control the HTC Audio Manager in any way, only the 'phone. I have made one minor 'modification' to them, taking the foam buds from a set of JVC Marshmallow 'phones and replacing the silicon ones which come with the Sennheisers. Makes for a better fit in my ears and keeps out a bit more ambient noise.
you should post this in the accessories section of the forum and not here. Also, this thread already exists there so your question is answered there.
I use Sony MDR-EX 90 LP with my Blackstone and the sound is AMAZING im feeling like im in the club
On a slight side note..
My original headset broke, and I was looking for a headset with a mic...
However I ended up buying a pair of Sennheiser HD228's..which don't have a mic, but the sound quality is literally amazing..atleast much much better than anything I expected out of my phone..definitely worth the purchase. They're available on amazon (I'm from the UK, i'm unsure of the availability of this model in different countries.)
I'm thinking of pairing it up with a decent 3.5mm adapted with microphone..i'll let you know my views after the jump
It's worth noting also that these are possibly the most comfortable pair of headphones i've ever used (I've been through a fair few different kinds: Etymotic ER6i's, clip on panasonics, in ear CX300's, in ear sony fontopias, Sennheiser HD205's). They've also impressed me the most..although i've only had them for a day lol.
I'm hoping this helps anyone looking for a better pair of headphones to use with the HTC Touch HD
Guys don`t think for the Blackston Music Player like is a odrinary Player befor a year i change almost 10 diferent headphones just to enjoy the music and i need to tell you that the Blackstone have just amazing Music Player quality and if you buy some really cool earphones or headphones you can feel like you are in the club belive me

I9000 Heaphones

I need good headphones for my Vibrant, there is a guy how is selling OEM galaxy s ones cheap. Can I use Galaxy S headphones, does everything work?
No, the headset made for I9000 galaxy S will NOT work on a vibrant, although any headset made for iphone will work, so there is a lot of headsets to select from.
If you are looking for an audiophile-grade sound, try these:
http://www.amazon.com/V-MODA-Earbud...XE/ref=sr_1_15?ie=UTF8&qid=1305152211&sr=8-15
They are the BEST you can do in terms of sound quality for in-ear headphones. The microphone is also fully compatible with this phone. They are not cheap but trust me when I say you will love the build quality (all metal and cloth wire) and sound quality (best you can get with small headphones really).
I had mine for over 6 months now and still impressed with them when you tune them right with PowerAmp.

Im sorry but they are not "the BEST". They are, however, a "good quality for price" headphones, but there are much better headsets than this one. In my experience my etymotic HF2 sound better than those, although the V-Moda are cheaper. There much higher quality options but the price go for 200 bucks or more.

other headphones that use the beats software.. :)

Don't post here often but wanted to let you guys know beats can be used with skull candy inkd and better headphones from that company. Used them in the gym today plugged in got the beats logo and they pounded!!!

I would think that Beats would "work" with with any headphone. I would also think that, with cheaper headphones, that Beats would possibly cause distortion from overloading the speakers.
The beats are limited the stock music player using the 3.5mm port. Otherwise, anything would work. I am excited to use beats with my bose over ears because those sound really good with the beats on my laptop.
the primary "function" of beats is that it just boosts the lows(which you can do with any EQ anyway). so really, you can use any headphones period. just that if your headphones aren't really geared towards "lows" then it's going to have distortion.
if you want the bass and can't afford anything 'decent', then at least look for something that mentions 'bass boost' or similiar on the package. brand wise... kicker, skull candy, sony, etc have inexpensive ones that are "ok".
if you don't mind the standard "over the head" headphones, the Sony XB-500's will really pound your ears(yes the next model up is the XB700 but it doesn't "pound" as hard).

AKG Headphones

Guys,
What are the new supplied headphones like in quality for sound and overall design?
Also Just found this site selling the "official headphones" £29.99 is anyone looking for spare.

Personally, i found them to fit brilliantly, very comfortable, and to me ( i am not a audiophile sorry to say) sound really good, thank you for the link.
Likewise i thought they were a good fit, plus the sound from them sounded (to me) really good with lots of bass that you tend not to get with other stock headphones in ear that i have tried, but im no audiophile either.
As an audiophile I found them to be quite decent for stock headphones. The sound quality is definitely good. I haven't yet had the time to change the ear tips to fit my ears and test if they fall off easy or anything. That being said, I might stick to Bose earphones.
After reading that they are expensive, I was hoping for a way better experience. I like the EarPods/Airpods from Apple way more.
They have way more bass than my B&O headphones I got with the V20. I like'em

That makes me very happy to hear. The main reason I didn't purchase the V2O when it came out was I'd missed out on the pre-order and wouldn't be getting the B&O earbuds. I'm very happy with the AKG set that came with the phone, and really looking forward the the BT AKG headphones I just ordered this morning. That and the memory card I'm looking forward to, along with VR headset / controller.

I felt the sound quality was crystal clear. Treble and vocals are crisp but bass was on disappointing side. It isn't as punchier as the one's we get with HTC One series. Maybe I need to tweak equalizer more to get that heavier bass but default settings didn't sound deep enough. Again, I maybe wrong.
I'm pretty sure this is one more of those cases where you get a practically different product for different markets, but the ones I got in Serbia are pretty crappy :/ I'm no audiophile, but compared to my cheap Xiaomi Piston 3, these are so tinny, low-volume and just plain bad I was actually thrilled when I saw them, tried them right away, but just put them back in the box after 2 minutes...
They're not bad. Pretty clear high end and decent mids but somewhat underwhelming low-end. Still better than the buds that came with my S6E and Galaxy Tab 4 7.0.

I agree. The clarity is great. They def lack bass though. Not bad for free tho. And I appreciate the fabric overlay on the cord

I learned a while ago not to trust loose Samsung headsets.
I've bought replacements for 2 different Samsung "included" headsets, and in both cases the originally included headset sounded great while the replacements sounded cheap.
Their sound profile is slightly U shaped with emphasize on the bass & highs. Not really neutral or truly high end but by far the best stock earphones that I've ever heard.
I'm a musician and I own Sennheiser HD650, HD600, Shure SE425, Etymotic ER4P & AKG K702 with several dedicated headphone amps, so I know what I'm talking about...
I persoanlly think these headphones are the best of any inbox headphones I've ever used and I've used a lot.
Dont forget to use the equaliser aswell it can enhance the sounds for more clarity base and so on.
To be honest, they sound good but are poor in quality. They're cheap plastic and the right one on my pair has driver flex like crazy.
These AKG headphones are ip68/waterproof or not ?
I thought the stunk when I first tried them. I use PowerAmp and found that I had to go in and adjust the equalizer for both headphones and BT.
Very Happy Now!
I deleted Google Play Music before realizing that it was the default music player for the S8 series. I would assume it needs the same tweaks as Power Amp.
Do all the US variants S8's come with the AKG's in box?

They sound pretty good. But far behind my Bose QC30

AKG earphones

I don't think the supplied akg earphone sounds good for the music. I used another $20 (symphonized brand) earphones and they sound really nice (extra bass) the akg that came with the phone is not as good.
Any thoughts guys?

They're not great, I use Xiaomi earbuds that are significantly better. They are, however, much better than the apple pack-in earbuds.
"Extra base" is probably not very accurate sound. If you prefer it that way, that's fine, but the AKG headphones are tuned for more balanced sound. They're not great headphones, but they are decent if you want to hear music as it was recorded, rather than with artificial base.

They sounded good until I switched to Sennheiser's.
My thoughts too. I actually think they sound bad. I think the buds that came with my S7 edge sound better.

I think I just prefer some bass but akg one doesn't have. I thought the headphones that came with the phone was supposed to sound better. For me it doesn't

Better is subjective. Accurate isn't.
I gave them to my son as soon as I open the box. In his opinion, they better than what comes with the iPhone. Not amazing, bit will do.
Initially I was too disappointed. Then my Sony earbuds died so I've played around and now I'm more than happy with the sound.
1) https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s9/how-to/howto-tune-headphine-sound-t3764747
2) Change the silicon pads.
Bass was still flat. I've noticed that in certain position in the ear bass was way better. Tried different silicon pads supplied. None worked properly. Then I've tried the one from my dead Sony. Boom.
I guess there's difference in Japanese and Korean ear holes
It looks a bit retarded thou - white silicon pads on black earbuds. But I think Sony sells them even in black.
