Hi, i have a problem with my Xperia S: this afternoon i listening music on my device when i decided to perform a soft reset (power on button + volume up button pressed at the same time for 10 seconds) because de device having low ram memory....but after the reset the device shut off and the led was enlighted flashing red.....the device in the moment of the shut off was in charging and the battery was at 100% .... i tried to shut on the device with buttons power on+volume up, power button+volume down, power button+volume up and down at the same time but not works....the device wasn't rooted and have the bootloader locked and the original stock rom ICS 6.1.A.0.452 .... i tried also to connect at usb port of the computer but nothing happened.....i'm desperate.....can you help me? I'm not an android expert and i need simple but detailed explanation...thanks.

hey can you connect to your pc with flashmode?(connect usb cable to pc,then press and hold volume down button,then connect the cable to your phone(keep holding) ,and see if a green led appears......if it is, try repairing via sus(make sure your battery is 50%+

Try to fix it using PC companion or Sony Update Service.

But the device doesn't recognized by the pc.....the device is off and blocked with a red flashing led....
Leds turn on when you plug it in charge?
if yes:
Try to do another "soft reset", even with the phone shut down.

hold volume up then connect to pc. when the led light turns to blue you are in fastboot mode.

No, only music....i decided to made the reset because the RAM was low in that moment

Try charging it again up to an hour. If it is still doesn't turn on, I think you need to visit the Sony repair..
something similar happened to me. I opened the phone, removed the battery, plugged the charger and putted the battery again and it booted

But i can't open the phone because i will to change the screen in warranty and this operation void the warranty....
Then try to connect it again to your pc, then repair via PC companion or SUS. If you're familiar with flash tool you can flash stock firmwares also.

But i don't use pcc or sus repair function because the phone wasn't recognized....

Yes I know, that's why you try to charge it up to an hour just to test what really is the problem. I encountered almost the same problem, I was playing games while I'm charging but my phone shuts down. I charged it, then after 10-15 minutes, my phone turned on.
My phone is bricked and even if i want to flash a ftf at flashtool it doesn't sees my phone :crying::crying: When i connect the wall charger sony logo comes and red led lights then everything closes. And when i hold volume up+power phone vibrates first once then three times. please help

Yes if i hold vol up+power blue led comes and if i vol down+power green light comes. At flashtool i selected fastboot and selected flash kernel and flashed recovery.img as kernel. and that happened. i think thats the problem but is there a way to fix it?
Yes!!!!!! You're doing it totally wrong.
Recovery must be sideloaded via adb shell.
You'll need to flash your firmware and then follow the right steps to sideload a new recovery.

To unbrick you phone the only needed is flash your stock rom,excluding all minus the kernel. This will work and you hold your recovery with the phone working and you will can flash the root zip.

But the problem is flashtool doesnt't recognize my phone now. if i can solve this i can open my phone again but how?
Please try put here the log. Uninstall flashtool 9.19,is buged, and install 9.18 and try again. Flashmode and check all except kernel

i installed 9.18. i connected the phone to the pc when i connect phone to pc the led become green. and i opened the flashtool. in the log it says device connected in flash mode. but when i click the bolt and select the flashmode my device doesnt appears there. and after a while it says device disconnected

Change the order, first run flashtool,flashmode,selec the rom,check all except kernel,wait,after flastool say you connect the phone.
Turn the phone off with volume up + power until vibrate 3 times. push and hold volume- and connect the usb to the computer, the flash will start.

i know i'm probably late but when I boot into flashmode and the green light comes on, after a bit it disconnects from my pc and then reconnects, interrupting the process, can anyone help?

Interupting the process? Same hapened to me. Be sure to connect your phone only when everything is ready, so when the flashtool asks you to connect your phone, and not before. Worked for me.

I do connect the phone when everything is ready and flash tool tells me to connect flash tool in flash mode, but it's like a bomb, the green light stays green for about 10 seconds, goes back to red then in 2 seconds back to green so i can never flash anything in time, please help

It could be also your drivers. Which windows do you have?
What should i do of it goes into the select language part but when i try to select anything it doesn't respond and just restarts again and again. Even if i tried rebooting through twrp it's still the same
Please help.

Windows 7 but all the drivers are installled and working fine from the last time I plugged in my xperia.

hi..i have a problem with my z2..it wont turn on..when plug into charger..the display turn on for a couple second without showing anything and then only led turn on..showing red..orange or green depends on battery i guest..i wanna try to flash it using flashtool...when i try to flash it..i get stuck at hold volume down button...it wont detect my phone..i cant enter flashmode..but..at the script..it said..devices connected with usb debugging off..driver was succesfully installed..so this is some question from me..hope you guys could help me to solve this..
1)what actually happened to my phone??
2)if i need to turn usb debugging on to flash my phone..how do i turn it on??..bcoz my phone wont turn on..

still cannot enter into flashmode....i heard the sound from windows that my phone is connect..but not in flashmode..and also cant enter any storage...when i check at device and printer..it just show android..instead xperia z2..and cant do anything with it...i never unlocked the bootloader before...thanks..any other way buddy?

Ofcourse,your battery must me charged even 10 %.

already tried...didnt vibrate..also tried red small button near sim card slot..nothing happens too...the only thing that happen is what i mention on the question when connecting to charger...actually..i tried almost everything that i get from internet..but..maybe someone know something..other way..to get my phone back to life..so i asked here..just maybe there are solution...thanx anyway
If your screen turn on even for a second when you connect to the charger there must be a solution.
The bad thing should be if screen not responding at all and that would mean that motherboard is dead.

looks like you phone freezed.
Try to use hard reset button, because "Device Connected with USB Debugging off" means your phone is turned on.
Press and hold hard reset button (near SIM Slot, small red button) for a moment to 3 buzzes. Then leave this button. Try to turn on. If it won't boot, do the same procedure and your phone will be turned off. Connect your phone in flashmode, FlashTool should recognize it.
Hope it helps, got similar problem, it has fixed it

didnt work buddy..doesnt get a single buzzes...yeah..because of the screen turned on for a couple when connected to charger or pc..and wnidows make a sound when coneected..it really does give me a false hope..haha

Hi,my xperia z2 got freezed so i restart it by pressing power off button and volume down after that its keep on struck at bootloader and not getting start.when i connect it with laptop its charging too but when i try to flash it on flashmode and it says turn off device and connect it again while pressing volume button it shows no process..just one red light blink then green for one second after that nothing.how to flash it?what to do next?

That's normal, the device has to be calibrated for the first time when you connected it to the computer.
And not charging in flash mode is yet no more than normal.

i know but i m struck at the wait for flashmode pop up..flash process is not happening and it seems like flashtool cant detect my phone.

try use other usb cable . its happen to me too , then i changed my usb cable and flashed ...
I have flashed a custom rom first using flash tool then again flashed using stock rom, then i given that to my brother and he not used my phone for a 2months. when i heard that i take back and tried to switch ON but its not restarted and again I flashed my phone but unfortunately the file got wrong and now it is not restarting and I can't able to flash again. when i connected usb only red light blinking and not detecting by PC and frequently a white screen appearing.
No recovery, No fastboot, No flashmod.
Please help me...

what abut the usb port thats inside the phone it self..you can easly test it by any maintenance friend with avo-meter
edit: can you enter the recovery menu?

idk about the usb port I will try that, but it responds when put it in charging (only red led blinking). and no recovery mode, while pressing the power button the red led blinks 3times then no more response happens, and I tried to charge it in a whole day after 2hr a light showed in the screen and it happened frequently. No more responses from phone.
