*** As always - Flash on your own risk! ***
I can and will not take any responsibility for bricked phones or lost data.
It is generally recommended to run a complete Nandroid backup in your recovery (latest TWRP recovery recommended)
and safely store your personal data before you flash a new kernel or mod.
This kernel will overwrite your system modules
This kernel use Anykernel2 zip for maximum compatibility with all ROMs and your existing ramdisk
Do NOT flash this over other custom kernels!
You should only flash Cherry kernel over the kernel that came with your ROM!!!...

I'm glad to see you!
Add AOD support in your kernel, please.
I succesfully installed it from J7 17 and it's working, but can't display the clock.
It requires kernel support.

I do not know if it works because I do not have the device. Currently has greater compatibility with the J510FN
You could try to install it. Make a backup of the system and your current kernel.

Nice one. It's great to see a custom kernel being developed for this device. It'd be great if you could keep adding **** to it and keep increasing the performance of the kernel!

Bit buggy though. Check with kernel tuner app, CPU 0 defaults to "off" and changing governor with cm's performance settings only changes cpu0's governor.
As a work around I set both CPU's governor and min/max with kernel tuner.

v 1.0.3 & OC version up.

enjoy!

[ROM][CM13][6.0.1_r10][CAF][UBERTC-5.3][O3 & Graphite]Arctic

Arctic
Arctic ROM focuses on stability and performance, without compromising battery life.
Arctic is a highly optimized ROM based on the CM13 nightlies, the kernel is based off SultanXDA's CAF kernel source.
It is actively being developed and more features will be added, as users request them. I decided to go for a minimalistic approach , keeping the ROM clean and simple, yet containing various important and useful features.
Features
O3 optimizations
Graphite optimizations
Compiled with UBERTC-5.3
Voltage control
Fast charge
SuperSU indicator switch
Built-in root (activate in advanced settings)
Quick unlock
All cm13 nightlies features (including the experimental multi-window feature under advanced settings)
Comes with AdAway application
OTA (available from version 1.0.1, you'll have to perform a clean flash from 1.0.0 to 1.0.1)
Kernel based on SultanXDA's caf kernel, check out all the features here (removed the underclock)
Marshmallow bootanimition
Multirom support
Additional cpu governors
Additional hotplugs

I haven't experienced any random reboots at all during testing, except when I was trying how low I could push my undervolt (which is normal, because not every chip will run at the same voltage as others). If you experience any, please let me know and provide details. I'll then look further into it.

Do you mean the OTA or multirom because the kexec hardboot patch has been applied and you should be able to use multirom now.
@Karel VH thx for your hard work! One question: in OP you say that your kernel is based on the kernel by Sultanxda. If I understand you correctly, you made him some change? Or is the original kernel by Sultanxda?
UPD: There is one suggestion - why do not you add in your ROM Snapdragon Camera?

You rock mate! :victory:
@Karel VH first bug - application MyAndroidTools Pro crash when open. (On CM13 official & Sultan"s ROM this app works fine)
@karelvh What other customizations it has? What about GPS in high accuracy mode?
Toast icon badge switch?
@karelvh looks promising and pretty stable. Could you please a switch for toast icon.?
Solid ROM!! Thank you for the hard work.Looking forward to the updates.
Nice! Another rom, i will try this out asap!
Does this rom have f2fs because Sultans cm13 doesnt have it
And you could change userdebug to user, jgcaap did that with some tweaks so you could have root. It should give the rom a nice performance boost.

Nice work bro... but i noticed that secondary 4 cores are not working at all. Thanks for kernel. Hope you fix in next update.
I only edited init.environ.rc to work with Grace Ux based rom.
Flashed the kernel after flashing the stock latest firmware. Been using since you 1st made the thread, without bothering with tinkering or modes. Running smooth without any bugs.
Thanks, now we can change governor
any planning overclock & underclock? (really looking forward for this)
gpu performances? (i donno really works but some 4pda members done some gpu performance touches, also gpu max clock and gpu max load settings still editable from any rooted device with stock kernel)
