matte white skins = color transfer after awhile - OnePlus 5 Accessories

wanting to use a matte white skin but wary of the color transfer that may happen. The only time I've had a white phone (natural color) was when I had an HTC One X and I can see the blue tint from my jeans.
thanks

Have you considered a dBrand white skin (carbon fiber, matte, leather)? I highly doubt they would have any color transfer or bleed over due to the 3M material their made from. dBrand has multiple skin colors and textures to choose from. I've personally tried the Mahogany skin then later switched to a metal textured skin and there was zero contamination on the original OP5 surface.

[Q] Color variants

They say the Oppo R5 will be available in silver, gold and gray.
Do we know, how the colors are applied? Will the device always have a white front and the alumin edge frame plus the backside will be silver, gold or gray?
Or will they also offer a black front bezel version?
I was wondering the same thing about the gray version, but from the videos I've seen, it looks like the gold one has the gold trim on the sides with an all white back and front. No one has shown the gray which is what I'm waiting for because I either want the silver or gray one

[Q] Stickerboy

Doesn't seem like Stickerboy skins are popular amongst Nexus 6 users, is it because of this big cutout for the M-logo and the lack of the M-logo in the other version?

Will @slickwraps make custom colors? I like the way that SlickWraps covers, but they don't have this color
Never even heard of Stickerboy.

they're pretty popular among other devices. they're the ones that do that chamfer cut, that covers the edges of the device as well.
I would be curious to know if the Matte Metal Satin Blue Myst matches the sides on the Midnight Blue N6. Although I am not a fan of large circular Motorola cutout.

That's exactly my complaint as well. I emailed them and showed them Slickwraps and Dbrand and how their cuts look like. Stickerboy said that they can either do a logo cutout (hole in the middle) or no cutout. They mentioned that they can cut out the M logo as well in the email, but it's not an option on their site.
They seem to have some colour options that the other two companies don't have. I wonder if they'll be willing to do any testing with the XDA community.

dbrand Skins for the LG G3 - Review and Installation

dbrand was kind enough to ship me some skins for review for both the LG G4 and LG G3.
I figured I would post the reviews here on XDA to help the most people I could, here goes.
For the LG G4 I have the Black Carbon Fiber skin with accents and the White Carbon Fiber skin with accents.
For the LG G3 I have the Mahogany Skin with accents, and the Zebra Wood Skin with accents.
The skins arrived in simple plastic sleeves with a dbrand insert and the skin itself.
Once you open these the first thing you will notice is the skins have a texture.
The carbon fiber really looks and feels like carbon fiber.
You can actually feel the wood grain in both the wood skins.
The printing on these skins is second to none, they all look realistic.
The cutouts on the speaker grill, camera, and sensors are perfect.
The application of this skin is the easiest yet.
All you have to do is place the button and camera covers (accents) on.
Then just use the 3M paper to keep the entire skin from sticking as you align the camera cutouts.
Realign the paper sideways and align the speaker cutout.
Remove the paper completely.
Finally use a hair dryer or heat gun to heat up the edges and press them into place.
I used a heat gun on the lowest setting, a hair dryer may take slightly longer.
Just in case you do not believe how easy the install is, I have made a video of me installing one.
Remember I have no extra experience doing this, it is this easy.

Once installed you will really see how perfect dbrand made these skins.
Every cutout and edge will be exactly where it should be.
There are no overlapped places or short edges.
I have used both Skickwraps and dbrand and in my opinion dbrand has done a much better job with their skins.
If anyone is considering skins, dbrand is the way to go.
At $9.95 for just the back and accents and $17.95 for the back, accents, and front, these are a great price.

I hope this review will help someone.
Please ask any questions you want, I will try and answer if I can.
P.S. my favorite is the White Carbon Fiber back with the Black Carbon Fiber accents.
I have the black carbon fiber skin. It's GREAT!

I got Black one for me and White one for my daughter:

I just bought the Matte Black skin and I'm really satisfied with the skin. Shipping to germany was done in under 2 weeks.
Installation was easy.
Now the G3 is not so slippery as without the skin. The grip is better than before.
Is it still compatible with other cases such as the Spigen Slim Armor? I'd love to have dbrand skins but with the option to be still protected with a case if ever I go outdoors

Which color Z5C? And recommendations on screen/back protectors?

I'm getting closer to biting the bullet on getting a Z5C, but wanted some opinions from owners:
- What color? I'm considering black/gray or yellow/"coral". How does the yellow look in real life?
- Recommendations on either a case or decent glass protection for front and back? Is it even necessary?
Thanks!
I went with black (had a white Z3c, wanted a change) a generic tempered glass screen protector, and Orzly FlexiSlim case. Very pleased with this case, barely noticeable and decent protection.
I had a red Z3C which I thought was pretty good looking.
Tried the coral and yellow one, but both of them look very cheap in my opinion. The coral is, to be honest, just pink so you gotta see if thats your style.
I'll highly recommend using any generic screen protector (or skin) on both sides since it will, as far as I have witnessed, reduce the possibility of a cracked screen significantly.
I bought a black one and will put a nice looking red dbrand skin on the back.
Thanks for the feedback. I was considering yellow just because it's so different and would stand out. If it looks cheap though, I think I'll pass. Once I figure out my tax refund amount, I'll pull the trigger on a new phone I think
Black one, so classic and so "James Bond"
No protectors, naked for its full beauty !

Black is always my choice. Unfortunately this phone is gray on the back so I got a matte black Dbrand skin for the back.

I have a black Z5C with no case and bought a Dbrand carbon fiber skin, but I never put it on. The phone gets so hot that I thought putting something else on it wouldn't help at all. I'm afraid it'll run even hotter.
I've got a black with a case-mate tough (the one with two layers) and Nillikin tempered glass screen protector.
I had the same combination on my Z3c and never suffered a broken screen or back so hopefully it'll be a good combo this time around too!

Can we have photo of your z5 with Dbrand skin ? Pleease
For the protection I recommend you "IMAK series 2" crystal clear hard case.
-cheap.
-really slim from the sides.
-Not slippery (like phone's sides and back)
- crystal clear (its beautiful whatever is your phone color)
- adds good distance to the back camera.
I think it's better than a tempered glass because the phone is really slippery.

Best TPU cover for Blue sapphire?

I got an HTC U11 yesterday with blue sapphire color as I loved this color in the showroom but using a generic transparent TPU cover will make it look more purple than blue in most situations (indoors), only under direct sunlight it's blue, the given HTC cover is not better and it has some sort of dirt resulting of the protective nylon that was on it, so now I am searching for a TPU cover that won't make my U11 purple, the ideal would be dark blue

Most popular transparent TPU case, and it does the job well all around: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B072...c+u11+case&dpPl=1&dpID=41Gf4rB7vpL&ref=plSrch
