T-Mobile V30 - LG V30 Questions & Answers

Is anyone gonna do anything with the H932 T-Mobile. I haven't seen anything yet.

1) Probably not the place for this question. The better place would be the Questions section.
2) Do you mean just a system dump or something more ambitious? Read this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=74705741
There's already threads devoted to bootloader unlock and attempts at root, and one created specifically for the T-Mobile variant.
Whereas the European unlocked versions are now on the LG bootloader unlock list and there's alpha TWRP available. North America carrier unlocked version soon after, it was just released today. Those are the dev friendly LG V30 models, released later/last after the carrier branded versions, which are locked down/ADB crippled.
We've told everyone since early September to wait for the "good stuff". Now it's here.

U.S. Cellular's variant (Model SCH-R760) is the same as Sprint's Epic 4G Touch, but without the integrated WiMax radio. All other specifications remain the same.
So, the correct forum is this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1281

According to this thread here, you should be able to use this subforum.
The thread states that the m7_u (the Asia release variant) can flash m7_ul based ROMs, I assume the unlock and root method would be the same.
That's what I drew from that thread, if I am wrong, someone correct me please. :good:

Motorolla atrix koren need help

Hi..
guyz i have korean motorolla atrix mb860 korean and i want to root and install custom rom on it..there are alot of useful threads about rooting ,bootloader unlocking but in every thread they mention they we must first check whether our phone belongs to AT&T or BELL..
But cant understand this coz my phone is from KT network..
2nd thing is what is pudding...can somebody explain me...and much appreciated if someone give me specific instructions about korean atrix rooting and bootloader unlocking..right now im 2.2.2 version S/W version is OLSKT_U4_1.14.0...thanx to all
Actually it's not AT&T or Bell, where did you see that?
It's AT&T or any other, ie. international.
Pudding is an unlockable bootloader. Please use search and read relevant threads for more details, as well as for all the instructions you need. It's all here, just need to search and read.

Use Google Maps if you're unsure.

LG V30 US VS996 Has anyone figured out how to root it yet?

I have an LG V30 Model VS996 (US model) that I obtained from a Verizon store. Has anyone figured out how to unlock the bootloader and/or obtain root?

And I guess I don't care as much about unlocking the boot loader as much as just gaining root access.

Change you title then. Plenty of LG V30 are rooted. I have one.
There's TWRP, ROMs available down in development section. You KNOW there's root available.
Yet, in the post, THEN you mention Verizon... So, you're looking to root a U.S. CARRIER LG V30.
You should put that in your topic title, because the answer to your topic title is YES, there's root available.

Please elaborate. Please give me some step-by-step on how to root a US version Verzion VS996 LG Phone.

You can't. My point was originally your topic as I replied to it didn't say Verizon in the topic title. Originally it just said can you root LG V30, and the answer to that is YES -- if you have the right LG V30 (North America open market LG US998, European H930, European H930G).
Now your edited topic title does mention VS996.

Since someone just above dug up a OLD THREAD from 13 months ago (April 2018?) for no reason, now we must say it's simply an outdated year-old thread and no one should pay any attention to it. I only quoted the op in this post to re-frame the discussion from the name-calling and insults which seem very strange. EDIT: the offending post has been deleted by mods.
Here's the current situation:
ROOT Your V30!
Right now, ANY V30 variant in the world can be rooted. All the answers given before this post right now in this thread is obsolete.
And person just above has been reported to mods. EDIT: the post has been deleted by mods.
