According to this thread here, you should be able to use this subforum.
The thread states that the m7_u (the Asia release variant) can flash m7_ul based ROMs, I assume the unlock and root method would be the same.
That's what I drew from that thread, if I am wrong, someone correct me please. :good:

No! You cannot exchange stock roms of an Indian based DX with a East European stock roms. The first error you will get is CID mismatch. You may know CID means country ID. As such the CID of Indian DX is HTC__038 and that of East European varies. Most likely HTC__040 etc.
Still a lot needs to be done on the DX, and the path to recovery, should anything goes wrong is not so smooth, as only official stock for East Europeans roms are only made available.
Thanks alot for quick answer. Ill forward it to friend with recommendation that his mum should at least learn basic english

htc x525a use the sofware in this forum?

I'm fixing a telus x525a and need to know if the software in this forum will work thanks in advance
What kind of fixing exactly?
For TELUS, use only AT&T / TELUS tagged ROM/TOOLS/ETC. INTERNATIONAL phone is different then US/CAN phone.
It won't boot to os it has recovery and fast boot I just need a ROM to get it going
even for the one x+
You have to select the right ROM version (AT&T/TELUS)
Then you need to flash the right boot.img for the ROM you are using otherwise your phone will go in an endless boot loop at reboot. Have a look at the FAQ everything you are looking for is written.

i just need a ruu or a link to the telus thread cuz they told me over at the att one x forum that its a different phone
sorry i missunder stood i have to use the att/telus roms in this forum
May I ask, did you read the FAQ ?
As for now, you said you have an x525a phone, it is indeed an HTC ONE X+ phone with an LTE radio chipset with the code name : EVITARE_UL (second line in bootloader to confirm this model)
This EVITARE_UL model is what we call in this forum section : AT&T / TELUS
If your phone was an INTERNATIONAL HTC ONE X+ model without the LTE chipset then the code name would read : ENRC2B (again confirmable at the second line in bootloader mode).
From there it is obvious that you need to read more before doing anything with your device. You said you were trying to install a rom from the HTC ONE X forum, then your are trying to install a rom for a different phone and different hardware = INCOMPATIBLE = BIG MESS INCOMING = Lack of reading and understanding what you are doing.
I strongly suggest you do more reading before attempting anything with your device.

I don't think I misunderstood you, you corrected your post above my response when I was writing, but anyway this is futile, I am glad you found the solution to your problem.

Which Thread Do I Use?

Which thread do I use if I have the unlocked version but am on AT&T? Not the international version just the unlocked one through HTC.
Pick one. The gsm forums are split and don't need to be. I'm running an att based rom on an international kernel. Hopefully this madness will end and the forums can be merged.

[Q] Are matching CIDs crucial for flashing custom ROMs?

I ask because my CID is cws_001 (I'm in the United States) and I haven't found any ROMs that support it. Are there just not any available for it?

cws__001 means that you are either AT&T or Telus . the CID itself is not that crucial but whats important is you know the difference between international and an AT&T/Telus phone. For example the international phone has more than 15 different CIDs but the ROMs are all the same. Its about the carrier OTA updates.
Anyway, if you are looking for roms, look for the AT&T/Telus versions , there are elegencia running somewhere around here and there is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2098218 VIPER XL+
And there is someone importing CM10.1 for the AT&T/Telus variant. Look around in the android / original android developement section.
Best of luck ^^

Ah! thanks a ton I'll keep looking around.

T-Mobile V30

Is anyone gonna do anything with the H932 T-Mobile. I haven't seen anything yet.
1) Probably not the place for this question. The better place would be the Questions section.
2) Do you mean just a system dump or something more ambitious? Read this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=74705741
There's already threads devoted to bootloader unlock and attempts at root, and one created specifically for the T-Mobile variant.
Whereas the European unlocked versions are now on the LG bootloader unlock list and there's alpha TWRP available. North America carrier unlocked version soon after, it was just released today. Those are the dev friendly LG V30 models, released later/last after the carrier branded versions, which are locked down/ADB crippled.
We've told everyone since early September to wait for the "good stuff". Now it's here.
