Lineage Os 15 - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

Do you guys know about LOS 15 for Kenzo progress? Any link so I can see myself? I tried github but I couldnot find any.

All I heard is that the developer uploaded the LOS ROM for mido devices (RN4) so he has written the status for now as null and removed the links.

Maybe developer is busy with some other builds or maybe he is doing something personal. Also i think he will update the thread once he gets his hands on 8.1 source codes.

Do you need a specific stock build to install CM12?

Title pretty much says it all. I have the latest lollipop from huawei, I'm about to root and don't want to brick it. Any specific instructions on installing cm12 on the latest lollipop build from Huawei?
Several videos already posted. And full instructions....
So since I installed the updates I have to downgrade to the base 5.1?

The threads on installing the ROMs tell you what is required.
IMPORTANT, READ THIS
This build is for MT2L03 ONLY
You need TWRP and an unlocked bootloader. You need to have updated to at least B322 before you can install this build.
Recommended TWRP build is HERE.

[DEV] I'd like to develop for Oppo R1 R829 (TEST CM11 BUILD IS READY!)

I'm very sure that this phone has a potential. It uses an MT6582 chipset, and a Mali 400 GPU, which is very similar to Android One device. It's currently running Android 4.2.2, with the bloated ColorOS, it sucks a lot.
I've been compiling for Nexus 4 before (you can see threads I've started) so I'm pretty familiar with how to compile etc, but I just don't know what to do when I'm left here without any kernel source & device tree.
My question is, can I use the device tree & kernel source from sprout? My guess that it would work, just not out of the box, and I will need few blobs here and there.
Can I try building CM with sprout sources, and getting the blobs from stock ROM?
EDIT:
A test CM11 build is now ready:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=65018133&postcount=3
PLEASE TEST AND REPORT IF IT BOOTS
I kanged a kernel source, device tree, and vendor blobs from Wiko Darkmoon (very similar specs to Oppo R829)
Now I'm building CM11, but I get this error:
make: *** No rule to make target `/home/arif/cm11/out/target/common/obj/JAVA_LIBRARIES/android_webview_java_intermediates/javalib.jar', needed by `/home/arif/cm11/out/target/common/obj/JAVA_LIBRARIES/webviewchromium_intermediates/classes-full-debug.jar'. Stop.
Google tells me to add PRODUCT_PREBUILT_WEBVIEWCHROMIUM := yes into BoardConfig.mk, but the line is already there. I wonder why..
I ended up removing
PRODUCT_PREBUILT_WEBVIEWCHROMIUM := yes
from BoardConfig.mk
Now I've got a CyanogenMod 11 build for Oppo R829! It's not yet tested, if anyone owns this device, please test and report if this can boot! Flash with CWM or TWRP (if there's any)
Download link:

I recommend backing up your IMEI first using MobileUncle.
REMEMBER, THIS IS UNTESTED, DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK, I WON'T TAKE RESPONSIBILITY IF YOU BROKE YOUR DEVICE AFTER FLASHING THIS.
It shouldn't hard brick your device as I've double checked everything for hours and it seem to be fine.
Bump, I've seen 4 downloads, but no comments? Did it boot?

which one is the best kernal for red mi note 4?

which one is best kernal for red mi note 4 mido?? i am using pure android 8.1 oreo rom and the battery life isn't very good so i wanna fix it, can anyone help?
this aint true. all oreo roms are battery friendly with stock kernel.
Hi,
I think there is not a best kernel. It is based on personal opinion.
For now Cardinal 5.3 and Stormguard 3.9 has no deepsleep issue for me on 8.1 rom(flashed 4 hours ago), so it will be the best for a moment.
But I also like Chewy and Revolt.
Awaiting new version of Velvet and EB to test on 8.1 roms.
Flash all of them, you will see.
---------- Post added at 10:19 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:09 PM ----------
One more thing. As I know 8.1 roms has deepsleep issue. It can be reason for your lower battery. Check it in Kernel auditor or Kernel toolkit, etc.
If there is an issue try another kernel including stock one, or go to any other rom.
8.0 roms shoudn't have the issue.

Need help to understand versioning of MIUI

Hello everybody,
I just switched from Samsung S7 to Poco F1 and I'm confussed about the version numbers. As far as I understood the stable MIUI 10 version is 10.x (10.2.2.0 is most recent one), but why are betas seperated in 8.x and 9.x?
Can you please explain the versioning of MIUI? Thank you in advance.
Best regards,
GerasVille
10.x.x are stable builds which take time before getting fully released while versions of 8.x and 9.x are beta versions released to developers almost every week. They are released more frequently and is indicated by the date of the build. An example would be 8.11.20 where the "11" is November and "20" is the day.
