A lot of people had this problem on Mate 9 as well.
It works fine for me.
Are you using original USB-c cable?

Yes, im using the original USB-c and two alternatives and is the same problem , looks like is not running , may be some task is stopped or killed by the phone.
Did you turned off something on your phone?

Nope, nothing turned off. I do have USB debugging turned on in Developer options.

I have no issue connecting my Mate 10 pro with Sons XAV1000 which run on AA and CarPlay.

worked on my Sony without problems. In my new car (Skoda Amundsen System), I get the black screen... No solution yet

I had same problem so I uninstall AA then reinstalled it. Works perfect even with a Brodit iPhone mount with a lightning to USB C adapter. I have the best of both worlds AA or carplay USB debugging on by the way..

I hear this has been an ongoing issue with all huawei phones for some time.

Correct. This seems to be an issue with EMUI itself as it's not an issue with vanilla Android 7, 8 or 8.1.

I have no problems using AA with my Seat Leon (MY2015). Before Mate 10 Pro i was using Huawei P9 and P10 also without problems.

No, that's the only issue - on the previous phones (P9/P10) it works. But for me no problem to use phone controls.

I've had mixed problems with my Mate 10 and Android Auto. Most things like Spotify and TuneIn work, but Waze and Google Maps crash it. You need to clear the cache and data from the Android Auto app and any app that doesn't work, that fixed it for me

Extactly, that temporary fixes the problem until you reboot.

Haha. That's so far off being ready that you'll likely have a new phone before it's ready.

All I want is for it to work with Android Auto. Please help?

Hello everyone!
I'm having an extremely frustrating issue. It seems that no matter what I do, I cannot make this phone work with Android Auto. I saw one other thread on here regarding AA, but there were no solutions and I wasn't sure if it was the same problem or not, so I thought I'd ask you all for some help.
My car is the 2016 Chevy Spark. AA worked perfectly fine in this car with my LG G3 on both Lollipop and Marshmallow.
My current phone is the KIW-L24. When I first got it, it was on Lollipop. Android Auto had zero function--the phone didn't even detect it at all, it would only charge. I tried several different cords, pre-installing the AA app, every USB mode and debugger mode, nothing. I updated to Marshmallow. I tried all of that again. After that, I began to wonder if maybe the issue was with the Emui OS. So I installed Resurrection Remix. With Resurrection Remix, I have actually made some progress. Using the cord that came with the phone, I can plug it into the car and get the Google Play Services notification saying that my phone is connected. However, when I first connect it the screen just goes black for a second, then goes back to the home screen. Despite the fact that Google Play Services says it's running AA, there is zero projection happening. Just that notification bar, and the Android Auto app as a black, unresponsive square if I check my currently running apps. If I tap it to open it, I just get the same flicker of a black screen before returning to my home screen. It does, however, say in the AA app that it has been paired with my car. So it's sort of working... but still doesn't appear on the car's touchscreen.
I read on one forum that a newer update of Google Play services apparently messed up AA for some phones, and was wondering if that could be the issue. However, when I try to install the apk for 9.0.83 (which was apparently the last one to work), it just says "Application not installed." Because of my inability to downgrade to that version, I've been unable to test if that is the issue.
I have tried calling the Huawei Support. They basically just said "We don't know--tough luck."
Does anyone have any ideas that might help? One of the reasons I bought this car in the first place was that I really like AA, and I seem to be one of very few people to encounter this issue. All I want is for this phone to do what it's supposed to do I'm already sort of feeling hopeless, like I threw my money down the drain with this phone. I would prefer to stay with RR if possible, but will really do anything to my phone if it means getting AA to work.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I have the same issue running the unofficial CM 13 on my Honor 5x and Android Auto on a Honda Civic EX-T 2016. Phone charges just isn't detected at all, don't even get a USB type option like when on a computer (the options for just charging, mtp, etc).

I'm in the 2016 Civic Touring, same exact issue, but even charing is iffy. On a nightly of CM13 for my Honor5x from like 2 weeks ago, hadn't seen any mention of improvements and was wondering if it was worth upgrading to a new build?
My Honor 5X worked fine with Android Auto on Lollipop with my Kia Optima. When I upgraded to Marshmallow the audio stopped working. I went back to Lollipop and it worked fine. I wiped my phone then updated to Marshmallow again and it works fine with AA again.

I installed android auto and it says "incopatible phone". How did you get pass that?
I never saw that message.

So i'd updated to the nightly build on the 10th, and it worked fine for a few days. Now im getting the incompatible phone message, and updating to the latest nightly didn't fix it. What happaned? Was there a silent Android Auto app update that i missed?
I am trying to figure out what makes this issue happen, unfortunately I can't find an explanation.
maybe u should do a factory reset

Try a factory reset or a clean install.
I did a clean install of the CM13 nightly 10/22, no change. Wondering if anyone else has android auto working on any of the newer CM13 nightlies? The last one that i had that worked was an unofficial built from like 9/20, before it got official support.
I am on stock marshmallow and Android Auto doesn't work either.
CM 12 on an S3 Mini works fine.

In a couple hours I will try my 5X stock on my brand new car. Will let you know.

I have a feeling you will be disappointed. It seems both the stock ROM and custom ROMs don't work with AA.

Ok. I didn't know how to use, therefore I could have done things not in an optimal way, but it worked. I could see Maps and notifications from, for example, WhatsApp. I did nothing extensive, but it seems to work.
My feeling is that it is slow, but my 5X is slow doing almost everything

That was with a USB physically attached to the car, right? Recently AndroidAuto made an update to connect to cards with BlueTooth, but that does not do screen mirroring FROM phone TO car. (aka, everythign still shows on the phone and not in in-dash infotainment unit).
Yes. Connected via USB cable.

Have you tried doing a hard-reset and try afterwards?
I updated the phone last weekend. I have 2 headsets and it's not recognizing both. It's not a port issue thought because i can connect the phone to my laptop and its still ok. Itjust wont recognize the headphones.

Headphones not working

Hello,
I bought an Honor 10 in september and I've been using Huawei headphones from my old Honor 8 ever since. Last week they stopped working only on the phone while they still work on my laptop. The phone doesn't recognize them and the music plays through the speaker.
I was able to fix this by downloading lesser audio switch but with the update to Android Pie yesterday it stopped working too.
I've tried using some old Apple headphones and they work fine but the quality is not the same as the huawei ones.
Shuold i buy new headphones or is there a way to save mines?
The only thing that comes to my mind is to check the Huawei Histen settings and restart the device
I've already restarted it a couple times and I can't even access the Huawei histen with the Huawei headphones.
With the Apple ones I tried to change some settings but nothing happened
I ran out of ideas, I'm sorry.

Amazfit GTR4 trouble with receaving phone

Hello i have problem with mi GTR4 and android phone. Phone fully paired with watch, incoming call to mobile phone. In the case that this call was received through the watch, everything went perfectly smoothly. However, if the call was received by a mobile phone, nothing cant be heard from the call on the mobile phone in the loudspeaker for the first three seconds, as the call was primarily directed back to the watch. Only after the mentioned three seconds did the watch recognize that the call was being received by a mobile phone and only then was it redirected to the mobile phone speaker. Anyone met with this ? Its realy anoing

Incoming calls always go from the phone to the watch, it's up to you to answer with one or the other.
Can be useful.

Don't generalize everything, on my Xiaomi 12 pro everything works perfectly.
Maybe a forgotten setting, for the association there must be 2, you must in the additional bluetooth settings, authorize unnamed devices.
Same with gtr3 pro and xiaomi mi9t.
This is so annoying!
I really expected that amazfit, which is sub brand of xiaomi will make it to work probably with Xiaomi's phones

Forgot to specify that I am using a Xiaomi EU rom.
What can happen is that some people have a CN version phone.
well im EU too and phone was also from EU distribution so i believe that he had also EU rom. i personaly believe that if is all fine now they fixed it with release watch S1 so maby MIUI 13 or devices released 2022

Hello everyone!
I have the exact same problem with my GTR 4 and my phone is a Samsung A52S so it's obviously not a phone problem if you have the same issue with your Xiaomi phones.

I would never buy another Amazfit watch ever again.
You need to have Amazfit GTR 4 two times listed in Bluetooth Settings. Both need to be connected. Only then call will go the watch.
Same problem here. I am using Samsumg and Gtr 3 Pro.
Same problem on my wife's gts4 and a xiaomi 9t.
