I am sure you will enjoy this Viper profile but make sure you use 320 kbps mp3 tracks or Flac version for more good experience. Feel free to ask for help.

Hello brother. I installed dolby atmos on my leeco le 2 custom rom Lineage os 15.1 and found that it's not giving the surround effects ?? does the viper4android provides same experience like the one on dolby? And if yes, please let me know where to get the perfect file for leeco le 2 as the files dont work from xda thread?

Can you please direct me, where to place the profile. Can't seem to figure it out.

Just save a profile and it will create a folder directly in the internal storage called ViPER4Android

Boost Headphone Volume [H815] - Root required / v20C/D/E

Hello,
This is my personal edit of the mixer_ paths.xml for the G4 [H815] to increase the headphone volume and decided to share it.
You might say, that there is already a thread for this, but unfortunately none of the files provided there did the trick and the volume remained the same as before - on Android 6.
As the FauxSound module was giving me issues (muffled sound each time I inserted the headphones), so I decided to dig deeper and modify the the file as it was working on my previous devices and finally managed to get it work.
The testing method was the following:
Used 4 tracks (HQ sync via Deezer App) and the same headphones (Ultimate Ears super.fi 3) and comparing them before and after
1. Armin Van Buuren - Waiting for the night
2. Sebastian Brandt - Mana
3. AC/DC - TNT
4. Eagles - Hotel California
With the default mixer_paths.xml tracks 1. and 2. were playing loud enough at MAX volume, but 3. and 4. were much quieter
After modifying the mixer_paths.xml tracks 1. and 2. were playing very loud with distortions appearing at MAX, but 3. and 4. were now loud enough.
After experimenting I decided to go with digital RX values "90" as with this setting I had all of my tracks playing loud enough for my needs and much louder than the default setup, but if it is too loud or not enough for you, feel free to modify it.
INSTALLATION:
1. download the attached .zip and extract it
2. navigate to system/etc and backup your original mixer_paths or rename it to mixer_paths.xml.bak (use e.g. Root explorer)
3. copy over attached file
4. set permissions 0644 (or rw-r--r--)
5. reboot
Make sure you have granted root access and mounted /system as RW.
Tested on the H815 INT variant only and Android 6.0 (V20c and V20d)
*it should work on V20e as well, as it is basically same as V20d
*it probably will not work on other variants if the file location/name or the contents are different
add speaker too if you can!!!

Speaker is also set to 90 from 84.
Will give it a try and thanx for the mod..
It works in my G4 (20d). Thank you very much for your work
Can you make a flashable zip? I'm having a lot of problems, i've moved the file of the mixer to the etc folder but the volume is the same
I deliberately didn't provide any files, as between country/region/version differences I didn't want to have any problems caused in the off chance that something was different.
I provided a very clear step-by-step that took 5 minutes tops to do, yet people still complained about lack of zips or the whole file itself? I thought XDA was about learning how to modify your device, power users and all.
As for the files other people provided, I cannot speak for them working or not. Again, with the mod being ridiculously simple, I didn't test them myself.
If there's differences in the files between LP and MM, I'd would ask you to provided the details on which lines you changed in order to replicate your mod if someone doesn't want to use the provided file?
Anyhow, I'm glad to see other people experimenting on it in general. Maybe there's a magic value that makes it sound better, though I've not been able to find it!
Cheers

Viper4Android car audio

I have a RoadNavi S160 (Android) installed as a head unit in my car, stock speakers + undearseat subwoofer ( Connected to the rear speakers ). I have flashed the unit with rooted Kotix ROM which has a preinstalled V4A.
I've managed to get it to work with PowerAmp, but thats where it ends...
1. Which settings shoulld i be working with? (headset? speaker? bluetooth? USB? - or all of them? )
I have tried to play around with them, but i am totally lost! - only the speaker tab makes a difference to the sound.
2. The IRS files don't seem to make any difference to the sound ( I can change them, and driver status shows as processing )
3. With the equlizer only(no IRS) the speakers sound either too flat or too distorted
I am not after a highest quality audio, but would like to hear a nice punchy bass and decent vocals ( without cracking speakers! )
Thank you all
Can you use PowerAMP (the app itself?)
If yes! Well Poweramp uses something called "DirectMusicControl" so it will only use PowerAmp no matter what you set in Viper4Android!
Go to settings --> Audio --> Enhanced Settings (in my case the last point on Audio) --> First Entry is the "DirectVolumeControl"
Klick the box so it's unticked and play some music with poweramp while you open up Viper and set everything to your liking!
WARNING: Maybe you should reset ViperSettings to default if possible not that you blow away speakers
Thanks for the reply!
I have already managed to get those two to work together and since posting my initial question I've figured out the way to use the IRS's ( turns out I copied a folder full of files into the kernel, instead of extracting just the files into the existing kernel folder ).
But I must say that I am struggling to get it working as well as it probably can.
The settings within the "headset" tab seem to have no effect whatsoever, and only the settings from the "speaker" tab seem to make a difference.
Having said that, no matter what IRS I use, it just sounds wrong ( too quite, too loud, not enough bass or too much bass )
Thinking about it - is there a way to default v4a to set parameters within the headset tab instead of the speaker?
This would enable me to have a greater controll ( and possibly sort my issues ) over bass, clarity etc.?
Thanks

You have to place it in your sd card after extraction and then select the profile .
Mega link updated with Viper4android AT profile for Blutooth Devices .Check and report .
But keep in mind it is made for blutooth headphones or earphones not for blutooth speakers .If want for that too then tell about it will try something out.
The profile seems to be extremely, extremely bass heavy and completely mutes mids and highs. I use a pair 1More Dual Driver earphones, and yeah, the bass is enough to give you a nasty headache. Also, why is Differential Surround cranked up to 8ms?? It just makes it sound very weird and distant :/
I tried it out with the Sennheiser HD 4.40BT (over wired) and had the same results
---------- Post added at 06:58 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:50 PM ----------
The settings I use for Headset:
Spectrum Extension: 1.00
Field Surround:
i. Field Surround Strength: Slight
ii. Mid image strength: Extreme
Headphone surround+: Level 1
Dynamic System:
i. Listening device: Extreme Headphone v2
ii. Dynamic bass: 18%
Viper Clarity:
i. Clarity mode: Natural
ii. Clarity: 6.0 dB
Try these out OP
Also, I'm sorry if I came across as condescending on the previous reply
Another update out with some changes in the profile related to earphones link updated with only profile you have to just place it in the profile folder.

[HELP] Creating impulse response for ViPER4Android

Hello, i am having a problem with creating impulse response sample for ViPER4Android. I want to Adapt Sound from Samsung to work on my phone. And for that i found a guide posted by theormex.
There's an equalizer app called ViPER4Android, which doesn't only have kick-ass features, but also has a built in "convolver"
So what's a convolver? Basically it lets you simulate effects on audio. It works by having an audio clip, and and another one which has effects on it (in our case adapt sound) and comparing them together to see what changes occurred
You basically take a sine sweep (an audio clip that goes from low frequency to high), and record it paying on your device with adapt sound on (connect your phone to your microphone port by a 3.5mm cable)
Then you import these two clips to an app that can generate convolver presets (Aka impulse response samples)
The result you get is a .Wav file that you put on your phone and select as your convolver presets. And that's it!
Click to collapse
But at <Then you import these two clips to an app that can generate convolver presets> part i am having difficulty. I couldn't find a program to do that. I have sine sweep from samsung note 8 and i have access both windows and mac computers. Which program should i use and how do i do that? Thank you

Best audio setup stock earphones s20

Hi guys,
For those who are not satisfied with the audio quality with the stock eadphones, let me share with you my setup.
- First you need to enable dolby atmos and set it up on movie.
- secondly you need to install an equalizer from playstore : equalizer fx
Setup equalizer fx :
In the first tab disable the eq
Second tab set it up like said in the attachment
Third tab, select classical type of profil
You’re good to go, this is the best that I’ve found.
Make sure you have nothing more than what I told you to setup to minimise interference
Cheers

Dolby Atmos set on movie it's bad, especially when listening to music. This is useful when one sees films, because it manages to separate the central channel (voice) with the background (music and environment), thus creating a surround effect, and it is absolutely not suitable for music. For music, either put it on "music" or turn it off completely (recommended) dolby atmos, then use Eq well. For the eq use the original one from samsung or SoundAssistent, it is the best
If you know what you are doing, you would not have thought of an Equalizer on top. Dont follow that advice. Get Neutron Player and be Happy
