MT2-l03 but it was carrier locked. Had to get an unlock code.
Who did you get the unlock code from?

That's really cool that another big retailer is selling the HAM2. Especially if there is an easy way to carrier unlock.

How did you carrier unlock it, through Huawei, Consumers cellular, 3rd party? Curious to know how much hassle it was?
Current phones, Ascend Mate 2, LG G3, LG G2, LG Lucid 3. Tablets, Nexus 7, LG GPad. I like the Ascend Mate 2 the best.

I actually used an app called imei unlock in the play store. It was 12 dollars. I am the cell phone rep in my store so I was real curious on the device. It is technically att based so I would think an att or net 10 sim would work without unlocking.

Yea u was thinking the same. Came out of nowhere to.
Thanks for the info. I think I'll pick one up for my wife. I am using straight talk/att Sim. It surprised me that I can use the hot-spot tether feature on this phone. Any other time I tried it with other phones with the stock tethering and not rooted without jumping through a bunch of hoops it wouldn't work. But it worked right out of the box. Don't think I'll use it much but it's nice to know it works.

It's funny, the hotspot has been a big deal to me in the past as well. But now I have my mate 2, I hardly ever take my tablet anywhere.

What's weird is I noticed the Hotspot feature was missing in my phone. Like not in the settings at all. I don't mind since I have 2 phones on me but still weird.

Exactly, I carry mine in the same pocket in my cargo pants I carried my Nexus 7. Much more pocket friendly. With the Consumer Cellular version not adding in the additional costs of the Net/10 package Huawei adds in and charges for, it's an even better deal. My wife will love the more compact size and retire her aging tablet she travels with.

That is weird. I wonder if it has different firmware. Maybe you could flash my stock twerp backup and it would add the hotspot?

I was thinking about that actually. Everything else was the same. Also came with some bloat as well. Besides making a back up, would I need to do anything special before trying your back up?

Back up what you have just in case. I've never flashed from one phones backup to another but I assume if the hardware is exactly the same it should work. And it wouldn't effects your EMEI? That should be in a different partition? But we would need to get confirmation on that. Is your bootloader unlocked?

Will research the IMEI and serial number issues and if all is OK I'll share my backup with you. I'll look into it on my break.

How about your version number.
I can't find any esf partition files so I'm guessing it must be in a chip, the IMEI and serial number that is. I just don't want to create a clone. I uploaded the TWRP file to my drive account. Do you want to try it?

When purchasing my LG G4, I researched the LG G3 and saw the support. If you guys looked up the LG G4 prior to buying the G5 you would realize that there will be nothing or very little support for the device as the only 1 version have an unlocked bootloader. The others will never get it. This phone will turn out worse than the LG G4 which was extremely bad.
HI,
Is the LG G5 H860 is impacted by QuadRooter as it's not yet rooted?
Bye,
Proc.
I wish I saw this thread before I bought mine, LOL! I'm sure we'll get root eventually though.

agreed!!
The LG G5 is a really great smartphone, coming from a Note 5, I can say that it's the best phone that I ever used .
However, using a phone that its manufacturer is locking its bootloader makes me nervous ! The disability to root my device makes me uncomfortable ...
Has anyone tried using the H860N technique shown in this video (below) on their H860?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trWtvmCstGE
Not compatible bro. Also this guy has an old samsung in his video...
I was thinking about switching to LG5, but I'm glad I visited this forum for info before doing so. I guess I will just continue my quest. Thank you all.

Lg G5 rs988 won't get 7.0. How to install a rom?

I'm very disappointed.
Their flagship won't get an update... Why?
It's a few hours of work to push the update...
But they won't. It is an unlocked device. Only device that works internationally and has usa warrantt fron lg us.
It is bullcrap... I've been using g3. Since its broken, i switched to g5. Since g6 won't have battery swapping, Next time i will go samsung or even apple.
Apple is expensive but has no bull****...
So how to install a rom on this? Would verizon or other roms would work? I want to have nougat and android O 8.0 as well...

Getting an LG G5 what accessories should i get

So i decided to say quiet long ago. i was always on the g3 forums asking if anyone could make a g5 systemui for me, so on july 12 i bought the honor 6x but on September 20 my honor 6x's wifi was not working. 2 days later i got an lg g4 from my brother. since he got an lg g6 and let's be honest i was super jealous, and just 2 days ago i cracked my lg g4 really bad so i was gonna get the lg q6 the cheap g6 but it didn't support 5ghz wifi which is how i got rid of my honor 6x and our 2.4ghz wifi doesn't work. so then i decided when December hits i'll get the lg g5 and a glass screen protector to top it off. sooooo what else should i get for my lg g5. tell me.

Lg v60 new

Hi,
Anyone knows where to buy a new LG V60 preferably in Europe but would consider buying it from outside Europe...?
I don't blame you looking for a V60, because that is a great phone! Unfortunately, since that phone has been out for over 2 years, it's going to be very difficult to impossible to find a new one. I think the best you will be able to hope for is finding a used or possibly a refurbished one. The good news. You can probably find them pretty cheap. The bad news is they are no longer supported by LG, and they are not rootable because of the snapdragon processor.
Some of the things that you mentioned about LG V60 is just not correct. So let me mention the facts:
!. You can get a brand new LG V60 phone. Try Ebay or Facebook marketplace etc.
2. The V60 phone is totally rootable. Many people here (including me) have a fully rooted V60!
Please don't misinform others! It is better not to participate in a discussion rather than dispersing wrong information and freaking others out!!!!!
