Lock icon in recents list - Huawei Mate 10 Questions & Answers

What is the Lock icon button on apps in the Recents page supposed to do? I assumed it was to keep them "locked" from the clear all function, and also prevent them from being swiped away. But it doesn't.

In theory, with lock button on, app isn't killed...

For me it does prevent the app from clear all....can swipe away manually though

[Q] Lock screen shortcuts randomly stop swiping action?

I love the "swipe up an icon to launch that application" feature of the lock screen on the One. But I've noticed that (seemingly randomly) it just stops working. For instance, I'll grab the chrome icon and swipe up, and the phone won't register that I've grabbed anything, and the screen just unlocks. Rather than an icon floating with my swipe gesture -- the lockscreen just fades out and then the phone displays whatever activity was open when the screen was turned off (almost like I've grabbed the lock icon, though I haven't). Has anyone else experienced this? And how can i get it to go back to the default behavior?
Did you install any kind of notifier that would display on top of the lock screen? I found out that after installing Notifierpro with accessibility services turned on it messed up the Sense lock screen.
I have posted my experience on a different thread and did not see your post. I just thought maybe you are experiencing the same problem.

Mine sorta does the same thing. Sometimes I will grab an icon (any icon for that matter) and it won register the swipe at all, It won't even bother unlocking and it wont register any swiping at all until I do one of two things
- I will have to hit the power button twice to sleep and wake the device then swipe to unlock
or
- Hit the Home or Back button then swipe to unlock
anyone experience this? hope this helps

Keep Persistent Notifications on screen?

Hey All,
Is it possible to keep the notifications on the screen until dismissed. Or at least the notification count?
Sometimes during activity, walking/working the phone and watch will trigger a notification and it gets overlooked. But after 10seconds or so it clears off the watch face. Would be nice to see it stay until cleared.
Plugged through the settings and can't find anything.
Could be i am just blind or maybe it's not possible? Or perhaps it is with a root command?
Any help much appreciated.

Just like any android device, the notifications stay in the notification area (swipe from bottom) until you dismiss them (swiping to right).

For sure. That much is clear. But for instance the "lock screen" on a phone can also be configured to show notifications all the time so just glancing at your screen you can see that you have some without unlocking it.
On the watch I don't see any real way to , at a glance, see that you have waiting notifications without sliding up with a finger which requires waking the screen with the button or double tap.

How to make navigation bar in V30 Oreo permanently visible?

Is there a way to make the navigation bar in V30 Oreo permanently visible?
So always visible on the home screen, in app drarer and in all the apps? It now keeps disappearing after a few seconds so going 'Home' takes 2 actions or more in stead of just pushing the Navigation Circle Icon.
I'm using Nova Launcher Prime 5.5.4 paid version but I think it's a V30/Oreo issue.
Please help!

Yes. Turn on the Home touch buttons in Settings. (In Settings search function, look for Home Touch buttons.)
Then go into that setting and you will see "Hide Home touch buttons" category. Disable hiding them for any apps. It will give you a list of apps to selectively hide the Home touch buttons. Just disable everything with switch at the top of the page. Scroll down through the list, make sure they are all turned off.

App or setting that can disable Notification shade(not notifications) in games.

I want to disable the notification shade entirely as its very irritating mid game. sometimes even pulls down the whole notification area since I use claw many buttons near the top of screen.
google only give solutions to disable notifications not the bar itself.
im currently unrooted and on stock rom don't mind unlocking and flashing if necessary.
I use full screen mode with gestures not buttons like shown in screenshot, enabled for getting using screenshot shortcut only (by long press back button)

General [Guide] How to fix delayed / missing notifications

Closing apps in View Recent Tasks causes notification delays or prevents them entirely.
The solution:
Open Apps with important notifications (SMS, Gmail, ect).
Open View Recent Tasks. For Gestures: (Swipe up from the bottom pill and Hold). For Buttons: Tap the Square.
Press the Icon of the app you want to receive notifications and tap Lock.
Done! Enjoy your notifications.
Locking apps seems to be a Motorola feature, so your milage may vary. So far, all notifications are working perfectly with this method. Have fun!

Thank you so much! didn't know locking apps was possible on this phone as I didn't find the option before, you need to indeed press on the icon of the app in the upper part of the screen.
Fantastic!
