Hey there,
I just replied to someone concerning the F700L variant. I'm not sure what the difference is between the F700S and F700L, but I know they're both Korean.
If you know the differences, you can port a ROM easily

Thanks for the response ..I have checked the comment on that thread but actually it says I have to port myself ..and it means I have to dig deep into the methods how to port ROMs ..and before that ..I have to find methods to root and unlock bootloader.. this is, at this moment, isn't doable for me

[Q] can I use samsung galaxy s middle east rom on my vibrant

Hello guys,
first of all, I have done my homework and searched the forum and google for an answer, but could not find anything with a definite answer.
here is what I found on this forum: (sorry, still can't post links)
/showthread.php?t=791189
/showthread.php?t=802631
My question is: is it possible to install the Samsung Galaxy S Middle East ROM on my Vibrant?
If, the answer is yes, then what are the consequences?
I mean well everything will work smoothly and without problems? or will I face some problems?
Best Regards,
Won't work.
Will probably soft brick you and you'd need odin to restore. Galaxy S Variants do not work well with other ROMs.
The Middle East ROM likely contains a different baseband firmware as well.

Thanks for replaying.
Have you tried it?
If so, what are the symptoms of doing so?
If not, how do you know?
and what makes you sure about that? is there an article that you can refer me to which have more details on this matter?
And if there is no way I can do that, does anybody knows about a ROM that have Arabic support and still able to work on the Vibrant?
The only ROM that I know about which has an Arabic support is the cyanogen and AFAIK I can't use it on the Vibrant.
If it's not vibrant specific you'll have issues.

Just to help everyone here in the L9 forums

[Q] General question about International ROM flashing

as title says, i want to know can I flash russian/international rom on my indian phone with indian firmware? will it work fine? if no, then is it possible to port them? if someone know how to port then please give some guidelines for mtk device.
Solved
too bad i couldn't even get answer of a general question from community. anyway, i tested international (i.e. Russian version) rom on my phone. its working perfectly fine, all you have to do is just change the language at the first boot page. attached a picture as proof. so folks, international roms can be used, enjoy! :good:

You can not root it yet.
There is no root method that exists for the Snapdragon Galaxy s9+ (G965U).
Try This??

Good Luck!
Sorry but that androidbits article is misleading or not giving accurate information.
The SM-G965U and SM-G965U1 are the snapdragon S9+ models. As of right now there is no root method at all, if there was there would be a tutorial on this forum and a lot of very excited people posting.
Also looking at TWRP's site it states the only supported devices are:
Code:
Samsung Galaxy S9 (Exynos) (starlte)
Samsung Galaxy S9+ (Exynos) (star2lte)
https://twrp.me/Devices/Samsung/
And this is from the XDA page for support on that TWRP release:

Exynos variants such as International (F), International Dual(Hybrid)-SIM (F/DS), Korean (N) ONLY.
In NO way it is compatible with Snapdragon variants including but not limited to American(U/U1/A/T/P/V), Chinese(0/8/6), Hong Kong(0), Japanese(SC-*), Canadian(W) variants.

Searching seems to indicate that it might be possible to unlock the bootloader for some snapdragon devices, but I have no way to verify this to be true (I have the G965U model). In different articles it lists specific models, but none of them I have seen are SM-G965U or SM-G965U1. An example of one of the articles I found is listed below.

Thank you so much, I guess I will keep waiting.

you will either cause someone to screw up their phone or at the least get dissappointed and possibly even a virus going to those sites

Late reply, but yea, there's a A4, an A40 and an A42 forum. Not sure why there's no A41 forum.
and is there any Custom ROM for this model or is it better to forget it?
I was using different search engines and tried to look on 4pda russian site and some german site with no luck
i also have this model and want to root it. i've found a few sites that have a how-to but i do not trust them.
Seems like A41 and A51 are taking off here, I know at least 5 people with them, they got them last year, but yeah, not much on the techy web about it.

Are you rooted now?
It is pretty easy with Magisk.
Base thing is to have original software, that you can download from https://www.sammobile.com.
BTW:
Some folk, me included, requested to add this device to inventory but so far not much success.

I'm not rooted, I've not found a reliable guide on how to perform this. Can you please link me to one, if you have it?
Installation
The Magic Mask for Android

It's John's stuff and he maintained it pretty smooth.

I drive my rooted A41 since months.
If something is not broken - don't repair it - this is my rule and I don't have time to follow all new trends.
Besides - I have other, backup Galaxy, M12, which was rooted with help of this forum, too.
How to root A41?
Reading this forum to learn.
Everything I did was taken from here and while I don't have it till hands as rooting happened months ago surely all this is here, newer software & ROM hints including.
I have built a kernel if anyone wants it @F308
Also TWRP has been developed on Telegram and waiting for testing
