Buy X720 motherboard? - LeEco Le Pro3 Elite (Model x722) Guides, Developme

Guys i'm having my X722 dead since august last year .. I'm seriously thinking of buying a motherboard of the X720 to replace my own.
Do you think it works by only change the board?
Do you know where I can buy at a good price?
Do you have any contraindications for this exchange?
thank you so much!

x720's motherboard probably won't work because the two phones have different chipsets. You're better off just buying a completely new phone. One that maybe isn't an LeEco. Xiaomi's a more reliable brand with a lot more dev support.

I cant give you a link but somewhere i read that mb from x720 worked on x722 - but i did not test it and there is risk if is not working

i dont get your point...yeah its 169+ shipping, so? isnt all other sites the same?
it certainly is cheaper than aliexpress or panda. and they are a reliable site plus they would root and install custom rom too. (for additional price) its worth to pay that additional amount for the rooting, unless you have the time to do it yourself and dont mind taking the risk.

for shipping to spain: Pandawill, Antelife and Aliexpress, it's free (I look at this). So it's 20-30$ less. For another countries I don't know
pandawill is original firmware.
antelife is room with multilingual (I don't know if it's root)
aliexpres the phone is rooted for free.

The build quality seems fine and if anything the phone is slimmer than it looks in the photos.
It's certainly fast compared to the A789 that I had been using and browsing is fast both by HSDPA and WIFI.
The GPS works well and will get a lock inside a minute in the house without the need to go outdoors.
It's too early to give a realistic figure for battery life as I only got it yesterday so have been using it a lot and loading it up with all of my usual apps etc.
The only 2 things that some people may not like about the phone is no front facing camera and no flash for the camera but for the price for a quad core phone with 1GB of ram I wasn;t bothered
Including the etotalk rom which seems fine and shipping by DHL it cost $210.00 or about £137.00 which I think makes it excellent value.
Oh,I forgot to add,it also came with CWM recovery installed as part of the rom package.

USB port replacement - N9005 hlte

Hello!
My phone has a damaged port and I would like to replace it. I saw some videos and it looks very easy to replace so I might try it myself. The only problem I have is that I don't know what to buy!
eBay sells the replacement module cheap but it comes from China and almost everything I bought from there (eBay) doesn't work 100% and I've asked refunds.
I know there are a lot of people who already had to replace their phone's port so I ask them to come to this thread and tell me where did they bought the port from (which exact seller, not site please) and their experience with it.
Many thanks! :fingers-crossed:
Hi, I ordered my usb port from Ali.. I think if you read the feedback of the item you can't buy any defective usb port.
I don't remember the seller's name but it costs 5€ and working the charging, Otg and audio out. Mhl I didn't tried yet.
Changing the port was easy for me, but I think it can be difficult for others. You must be careful.

I just did mine. Make sure you have the proper tool set and a grounding pad. I harvested my port from a broken one on Craigslist. Check your local area and see if you can find a smashed screen. I don't know how to add pictures to my posts yet but feel free to hit me up on Facebook messenger if you need to: Stephanie Supergirl Tweedy. Where are you located? I can just do it too. I was a certified repair technician (ha!) with Sprint. I use Tmo as my provider tho. =) Good luck!! :highfive:
I think it looks good.

Bricked device

Ok, so my last post was moved to a thread where it may die..lol
Anyway I have an android device (doesn't matter at this point which Android device it is) and it is bricked. There used to be a guy/company I could send a bricked device to and he could fix it and would send it back. I know this because I had a bricked device once and I used him to fix it long ago. I'm not sure if he is still in business or not, but I would love if anyone knew. I'm going through old email messages to try and find him but this was at least 3 years ago... Anyway, if anyone knows who I'm talking about I would love if you could post the info. =)

haha yeah I know, but a couple/few years ago he was a bigger deal I guess. I had bricked a phone back then and someone sent me to his info.. I know it seems like finding a needle in the amount of 20 hay-stacks, but thought it was worth a try.
I'm still actively looking for a way to at least flash a rom to this, hoping it would take. I called both my carrier tech support and the maker of the device tech support, neither would support the device so I'm here talking to all of you and hoping....
I know who you are talking about but he was long ago banned. You will need a jtag box to recover the device. To be honest you will spend more getting it fixed ten you would getting a new device.

Yes. No device is truly completely dead as long as you have the right equipment and know how. You just have to remove the board and Jack into the mount points on the board with a jtag machine.

Well, I'm not sure how or why he was banned, but he basically fixed bricked phones. He fixed an old Galaxy S3 for me when I bricked it. Cost me like $60. He was fair and fast. That's all I know about the guy. Sorry
I can't get into why he got banned. If you search for unbricking some of the older Galaxy devices you will find him easy enough.
If you are interested you can look up if on Jtag systems. They are what people had to use before you could flash a device with a pc. They allow direct loading onto the board.

What are you doing OnePlus India?

A true disappointed OnePlus user.
I use a OnePlus 2 and guess what ! It has been an awesome experience untill last week when my phone broke down.
OnePlus team has been very annoying when it comes to software updates these days. While every Flagship phone is updated to 6.0 marshmallow, I really don't know why OP software team is still behind pushing 5.1.1 updates on their current Flagship, The OnePlus 2.
Last week they rolled out the OxygenOs 2.2.1 update which broke my 2nd sim (no IMEI) , the fingerprint scanner and the proximity sensor. While I submitted my device to service center, I was shocked to know that my device was the 14th OnePlus 2 collected on that day for the fingerprint issue. No problem. I very well understand that OnePlus's OS is not fully optimized and hence the bugs.
I was asked to submit my phone for the inspection, after which I was told that my PBA (motherboard) was tampered due to the latest update (2.2.1).
When asked how, the team said that it was a random thing and then told me the no. Of affected devices submitted since morning (14 OnePlus 2s)
It's been 5 days and they say that my PBA would arrive in maximum of 7 more days as it is ordered from Bangalore.
This totally boggled me. I agree that India is a vast country but it should not take that long as there are excellent courrier companies like dtdc and bludart available. OnePlus should understand that we have paid for a premium device and we should get a premium after sales service. It should firstly keep a certain number of PBAs at the service centers. In case of unavailablity of PBAs at service center, the center should order the PBA on urgent basis via express deliveries. They should also share the tracking number of the same with the affected party for tracking purpose. Meanwhile OnePlus should be generous enough to give a decent dual sim standby phone.
Here, giving vague answer of delivery in next week is just not done. Especially in case of a Premium device.
Also n number of OnePlus service centers are closed down due to illegal sales of genuine parts without reciept (way to escape payment of taxes to the government). What are you doing OnePlus? And that too in a country like India which should be your biggest potential customer! Think over! IMPROVE! (Tejas P. Biwalkar - 9773939133 - [email protected])
THIS IS THE TIME TO IMPROVE OnePlus!

Did you try reflashing the update before submitting? These customs care centers or respiratory center idiots try to steal us. Ask him for the old board if it's not in warranty. If you pay money for it, you have the every right to take your old board. Also, I once had problem with my Sony, when I took to repair center they said the same, your hardware is broken and needs to be replaced, it'll take 8k RS to replace it. But then I reflashed the recent update and it fixed it. Damn. I know right?

I guess things work different there. Often times, we don't fix phones part by part, support here tends to just replace the whole phone. It's that way with pretty much every phone manufacturer and carrier in the US.
I am also a OnePlus 2 owner from India. OP 2 is my first phone from OP. I live in Darjeeling and here people don't own much phone with fingerprint scanner and only few geeks like me knows about OnePlus company. One day my friend got LeTV (LeEco) Le 1s handset so he wanted to checkout software of my OP2 so when I tried to unlock my OP2 with fingerprint but even after trying for 5 times it didn't unlock so I had to unlock it manually with pin. He unlocked his Rs. 10000/- phone with his wet finger in one try. I didn't talk about my OP2 price and about OP anymore with him.
THANKS

What is the future of LeEco?

I don't know if you are informed but in the last weeks there were very bad news about this company:
- LeCloud closes on June 30
- Job cuts in India and in the USA
- Former employees have denounced LeEco and they are creating a new company
- CEO & CFO dismissals
- Arrests for industrial espionage
- Sale of land purchased in the USA
- Allegations of misappropriation
- Missed the deal with Vizio
- Closing of the EcoPass service
Well, what about the future of this company?
Who will supports our devices?
Noone knows I think, it's cheap phone with good specs so people buy it. If you worry maybe buy other brands instead. LeEco is like living on the edge now but they still make new phone I think. Don't worry they not shutdown yet.

Not everyone, what we got for stock Eui Marshallow 21S, 23S, 26S everything work fine. If you like flashing there is also many custom Nougat roms to enjoy . Even with new stock Nougat rom, not much change for the device maybe some cosmetics stuff, looks etc which not really matter for me.
If I like update/new rom I will buy Xiaomi or Google phone not LeEco.

For every company, update their smartphones is an obligation (security patch and so on) and a demonstration of seriousness. I'm using the Resurrection Remix on my Le Max 2 and Nougat custom ROMs are incomplete just because LeEco still doesn't release Nougat officially.

ok, to lift your confusion: the "developer" in "xdadevelopers" stands for "developer" - so yes, if you just want to complain about the leeco company policies, you're definitly in the wrong place

no one here is waiting für EUI whatsoever
no one is defending the company - everyone knows what he gets when buying a phone with premium specs for the cost of a entry lvl gimmick
no one buys a phone like this as a dailiy driver w/o the option of buying something else the day after this one is bricked

Well, I'm using Le Max 2 as daily driver and the company must release Nougat or at least the source code to allow the development of Nougat custom ROMs without bugs.
And yes, you are defending the company.

It's so difficult to just talk about the situation without polemicize or "fanboying"?
You're being obnoxious... People aren't buying this phone because of the LeEco brand, they're buying the Le Max 2 because it's a $196 phone with unbeatable specs for the price. There's no brand loyalty involved, it could've been from any other random Chinese brand for all I care. TBH, you have to be pretty ****ing stupid to expect any kind of support, either from the online Chinese stores that sell this phone to you at heavily discounted prices, or LeEco, a brand that I never heard of until recently. I already knew that their smartphone division was failing, so as people have been telling you... we bought this phone because of the specs and decent XDA support, I never expected LeEco to provide updates, matter of fact, some of the Le Max 2 variants ship with stock ROMs that have no update function like the American X829 variant.
