4G+ (Carrier Aggregation) files? - Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Questions & Answers

Hello! I saw for many times one post explaining how to unlock 4G+ on mido (check link: http://en.miui.com/thread-692389-1-1.html). But someone didn't respect developer's work and he closed the project. Now I want to apply it on my mido, but I can't download the files because he closed the project (and I can't have them on Wayback machine, because MIUI Forum requires sign in to download files and with Wayback Machine I'm not able to sign in. The question is: Does anyone still have the files? Thank you!
PS: I want Carrier Aggregation for B3+B7 (European user here )

It didnt work, was showing LTE+ but it was not aggregating in reality.

I think i exhausted the methods for unlocking bands, and it shows their unlocked but the phone doesnt connect on the new bands.
So i was browsing his thread and downloaded one of his qcn, saved to my computer from back in the day. I cant post it now but ill look later. The thing is that so many people said it didn't work, he closed the thread. In my tests band unlocking doesnt work. Even if someone can post all four version of his qcn, none probably let the phone connect and use the unlocked bands.
So just to go full circle here, im saying that unlocking bands and the dude's Carrier Aggregation doesn't work.

Oh really? If you see the photos there is the indication of 2 carriers. There is also another way (https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-4/how-to/experimental-enabling-2xca-support-t3759933) but it isn't working because there isn't aggregation. But I can be wrong, idk...

That icon is for external GPS devices and is for choosing the port of said external GPS device. These settings WILL have an effect on your internal GPS, but DCD's rom will get those settings correct for you.

Not entirely sure about this carrier. DCD's ROM's require a custom carrier cab to enter proper settings. These are available here:
http://dcd1182.n715dp.com/index.php?dir=carriers/
I don't see cellular south but maybe another one is similar? I'm not that knowledgeable about all the different carriers.

It's been so long since I flashed my BL I've forgotten now, but I think the original ROM will work. Regardless, it really doesn't make much sense to unlock the phone if you're not going to install a custom ROM on it. I would make sure you can get a carrier cab that will work with your provider first.
The original ROM will not work with an upgraded boot loader.... I suggest you do not upgrade yet until someone gets a dump of yer rom to make a carrier cab.....

Possible Shipped ROM for NEON400!!!

Hi Everybody,
You've seen me posting around this forum trying to look for a Neon400 HardSPL. I don't necessarily have one, but I think I might have found a stock ROM for the phone that people might be able to crack.
I have been emailing back and forth with the Bell Corporate support team and here's what they said:
Thank you for your reply.
There is an available OS download which you can use to reinstall the software. Please see the link below:
Select MR2 Upgrade and download file.
http://www.pcdphones.com/phone_downloads.aspx?bid=87&cid=16&mid=285&carrier=Bell%20Mobility
Should you have any further question, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Thank you and have a great day

Now, that link takes you to the Bell 6900 (Touch) phone upgrade software. I noticed this and asked if my support person had made a mistake on the link she sent me. She replied with this:
I have confirmed with my Technical Solutions team that the software will work on the HTC Dual. If you have further questions regarding the software, please contact our Technical Solutions Team at 1-877-328-2123 as they will be a better resource for software related questions.

My problem is that the Neon400 that I have access to is on Telus, NOT Bell, so I can't see if this ROM actually installs on the phone. Can somebody please see if this is true (and possible we can use the Touch HardSPL for our phones?)
Please test! We need to unlock this damn device!!!
Nobody wants to test this? Why would the tech support people lie to me? Can somebody double check with another tech support person from Bell and see if this ROM will load on the P5310?
i would try because i am also having same problume ,no software updates for the 400 um im also with telus so i dont have a 400 bell ether someone out there gots to have one keep looking we need to unlock this phone there is so much bugs on it they need to be fixed
The MR2 upgrade file seems to be for the HTC vogue not for the HTC nike or neon.

That's what I said to my contact. If you read my full post, you'll see that she came back and said that, as per Tech Support, this ROM should work on the touch Dual as well.
I checked the CID used by the update installer - it's only for vogue. There is no way the installer will let you install this on anything else. The technical support is wrong that it can be installed on the NEON 400.
Cool, thanks.
I figured it was too good to be true.

Hi. I am from Spain. I have just joined xda and I have read your issue with the Lenovo P8 8703X. I have had the same problem wondering why I could not pick up 4G or 3G network and eventually I got the answer from a russian forum. It is a forum for Lenovo but in russian. You will be able to fix the problem from there, because I just did.
Just google it and translate the forum in your language. Follow the steps of the forum member and your problem will be solved.
If you are still unsure then let me know, I will give you a more detailed explanation if needed.
Good luck.

Hi,
Just followed the steps and voilá... LTE working where he didn't work before! I will continue testing. I'm on LOS15 and happy with it.
Thanks to the user that initially posted the solutions on ru forum and thanks to user kingsemperor that guide me to it.
Hi,
Glad to know that it worked. Glad to know that you are also proficient with flashing and understand the concepts of custom recovery and so on.
I am also happy that for this tablet there is an updated ROM, custom nonetheless, but still updated to Oreo.
Can you just check whether "Dolby" sound works for you?
Thanks.
Hi,
I've instaled Dolby app throw the zip file, but is not working. App start but no sound on the demo option. I'm not root, not sure if that's the reason.
LTE issue confirm to be solved, I'm able to get network in all places I was unable before!! This is great!
Regards.

Dolby 8703x
Hi,
Dolby's demo does not have sound (the one who posted the zip file said so), otherwise Dolby sound should be working (with other apps, like music), it worked in mine, but then it stopped because I think that I changed the default music app.
I am root, so if you are not root, try to be root, because I think lineage has got the option to turn it on and off.
I will keep trying these days whether I can recover Dolby sound, the app is there but I can notice no sound change, the sound stays as it had no Dolby sound, but ar least it has good sound.
Fortunately 4G issue is solved thanks to that russian forum.
I will come back if I can solve this Dolby option.
Solved this Dolby option by doing a "boot sign" from recovery.
Then it should work fine.

Solved for 3G/LTE problems in Mexico
Hi! I realized all the steps and worked well to solve the 3G/LTE connectivity in Mexico City, I have to update the Android Version to 8.1 and install an archive that repairs the modem of the tablet. (this tablet only works in 3G in Mexico, 4G/LTE is not available because of the bands of the tablet, something you can´t change).
Thanks to @kingsemperor to all of his help.

The link to the Russian forum
I think it is best now to show the link here as I have more than a few posts and I think I am allowed to do so .... that way there is no need to contact me through a private message for this.
If anyone has bought this tablet and has issues with 4G, 3G or even 2G then it can be solved by following the steps in this russian forum
Comments on this are appreciated.
Thanks !

By the way, whoever wants to upgrade to Android 9 (Pie), there is a new ROM that has come out. You are free to install either LineageOS or CrDroid (this latter one has more options for customization).
If you want to root it, use Magisk better here.
Always remember to do a boot sign and then the normal boot, if this is not done then your tablet might get stuck at the booting process.
See ya !
Sorry wanted to post something but it was the wrong thread.

My sm-g930f gets g930fd after flash

Hello World, sorry if I am posting this on wrong place but it's my first post, so I have a situation that I can't find answers too at least not the right ones, I got a sm-g930f device and I manage to turn OEM off power off device so it got FRP lock so I had to flash a new rom on to it now my problem is every time I flash a room into it and I always look for the g930f model firmware not the g930fd, every time the rom is flashed I go to about phone it say g930fd and show 2 SIM 2 one I but one of the imei I is all 000000000000 and when I try use SIM card always shows network not registered tried 3 different country SIM cards all the same how can I make it not think is dual SIM model because I tried so many things and none work and I think the network not registered problem comes from assuming it dual SIM when it's not and one I might conflict, so can anyone help me out?

Question Find N root

Given the pain of trying to make this phone somewhat functional and something that resembles the level of customisation that I am used to I am thinking I might attempt to root my device. I am pretty sure by doing so I can get Android Auto working, utilise a better launcher along with change my default sms / dialler and then hopefully also shut down a lot of the other limiting Oppo Security functions.
I am just wondering whether anybody has installed a custom recovery and rooted their Find N yet?
The only functionality I am worried about breaking would be my mobile payments / banking apps, but I am 99% sure there are ways to avoid this..
Any help / advice is greatly appreciated!
Interested to see how you get on with this
The main issue I see is that Google Pay would likely stop working on a rooted device; and whilst I can deal with Android Auto not working (though a deal breaker for some), and I'm pretty happy with the default launcher and default dialer/sms apps, etc.; not having Google Pay working would be a deal breaker for me.
Before doing the root, we need to have the boot.img file so it can be patched. The issue I encounter is that I didn't find it anywhere. Has anyone managed to find the official Find N firmware yet?
Ok and its an old version but i Saw those links onnanother websites (kiné ofnarabic one) but cant found anymore
I tried with the Oplus Upgrade Tool but i cant find downgrade option or link
That's a shame. Not sure how to get an invite...
I purchased an invitation code and got access to the site, however the file is actually for an OPPO A93, haha. Hopefully they respond to my post with an accurate link

Thanks konkoro! I actually managed to get a copy of this last night. Also, was it you who just responded via email to my request to ask for it to be uploaded? If so I really appreciate your efforts in organising that..
I have managed to extract the boot.img from this firmware (along with a previous version), although I am still trying to confirm that they are actually for the Find N (peum00). Details within the firmware suggest that it might not be (although I realistically do not know what I am looking at / for..) Also, my phone doesn't recognise this firmware when I attempt to locally upload it for a software update, but I understand that could be because I could be already on a later release of it. However, both of the firmware files names don't appear to match in any way (or even seem similar) to what the device says it has installed
Are you able to confirm with certainty that this is in fact firmware for the Oppo Find N - peum00?
Thanks again!

Yeah I can see that.. My confusion is due to a couple of things, but as I was discussing with you the other day - I just want to be 100% certain
Realistically the dates of the firmware look right (mentioned within the name), the firmware also references the Qualcomm SM8350 processor which is reassuring. However it does also mention Samsung a lot.. (Quite possibly referring to other hardware within the phone though). Also as mentioned above, my phone doesn't recognise it, but that is probably due to other reasons.
Realistically until someone figures out how to unlock the bootloader the firmware isn't much use yet anyway.. However once this can be done, it will be critical that it is the correct firmware so the right boot.img can be patched / flashed to prevent bricking the device.
Yes it’s 100% for PEUM00.
Regard SM8350.. are you trying with firehose..? Oppo has used sign firehose so you can’t use with other model firehose and it’s also have to be same hash.

Awesome
Yeah I have looked, but I cannot find a signed SM8350 / PEUM00 / Oppo firehose file anywhere. I think this is where the root process is likely to stall for a while (if not forever )

Unfortunately there's a bit more to it than that. That setting is pretty much irrelevant these days, as Oppo / Qualcomm have disabled the ability to be able to unlock the bootloader in the traditional fashion.

Damn, I read the article and in fact, it is almost impossible to unlock the bootloader.
But I was reading the step-by-step "How to Install Magisk on your Android Phone" document (maybe a "little" outdated) on https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-install-magisk/ and that left me thinking: what if we decompress the OFP firmware file, patch the boot.img file using Masgisk app, create again the OFP firmware and flash it again the OFP using the Realme Flash Tool?
Do you think this is doable?
I was able to decompress the OFP file and patch the boot.img file, but I didn't search how to compress again the files into OFP format.
