How to hide home touch buttons in pixel launcher on LG V30 - LG V30 Questions & Answers

Hello, I've just recently updated to Android 8.0 on my LG V30 but I noticed that the home buttons in the Pixel Launcher are always there but completely dark. Not transparent or anything. Before when I had Android 7.1.2 the home buttons would be there but the space around it would be transparent. So if anyone knows how to make them transparent again that would be great.

I am currently using the Pixel Launcher. Before with Android Nougat, the navbar was transparent like in a pixel, you could see the wallpaper through the navbar, but now with Android 8 the navbar is completely opaque, as in you can't see any of the wallpaper through the navbar. It's kinda annoying and I would like it if someone knew how to make it transparent again.

I noticed that it is transparent on apps that go full screen, but solid on the rest.

Same issue for me on MS Launcher (Arrow) even if other users does not have it with that launcher. I swithed to Nova.

If you're using ADW, untick the wallpaper hack in settings, or get GO Launcher Ex.

Important
As you should already know not each launcher supports transparent statusbar, but if you will use MultiPicture Live Wallpaper you can get transparent statusbar using any launcher , so I added wallpaper.png to the archive.

It works without LWP with GO Launcher EX for me.
Yeah but there is lots of launchers over the Market, so it's the best way to make it work for all of them

I personally love Nova Launcher on the HAM2. Here's a shot of my home screen with the following customization:
- Nova Launcher - Be sure to enable the "L" developer preview in for App animation under Look and Feel
- Moonshine Icon pack FREE on Google Play
- "L" inspired HD wallpaper
- Hello SMS
- SwiftKey keyboard
No screenshot, but I'm a Nova Launcher fan.

It looks so "girlish" to me.
Nova Launcher fan as well!
Custom UCCW skins, the Nova Quick search bar (L style) and the new Play Music widget.
I can't post screenshots yet BUT....
I use Mini Launcher. It's like stock android but with more customization. I also have this really cool wallpaper that responds to the touch; it mimics water. I'll come back and actually post some screenshots when I can.
UPDATE: I installed Nova Launcher seeing as how popular it is. It actually runs much better than the Mini Launcher I was using. It's much more responsive and it gets rid of the stupid gray boxes around the stock apps. I think I know what I'll be using now.....

If you're up to it, get Prime! Adds a few more features and on top of that, Nova is already a solid launcher.

I looked at Prime already but I don't think I would really use the features that are included. I'll keep it in mind though. I might find them useful later.

Don't the gray rectangles around the app icons bother you? Maybe I'm just OCD but I couldn't stand those.....I'm so happy they're gone!
Bothers me like hell . haha
I downloaded a theme that got rid of the rectangles but is hit or miss..
What I hate is the gray background on the home but on back area...

I think we need root to change it. It would require a change to the build prop.

So. Here are all the themes u could put to change the icons and wallpaper and lock screen on huawei devices :
http://www.emui.com/plugin.php?id=themezone
Don't matter if it's wrong device it still works. Download one and put it in HW theme folder in SD card, and it shows on the stock theme app. I used the balanced magazine theme to get rid of all the gray box thingies when using the google now launcher.
I'm using Holo Launcher HD.

what launchers are you using?

im curious. im still sticking to touchwiz for now.
what about you guys?
I'm not a Samsung fan. My gs3 I rooted and flashed cyanogenmod within 6 months, so just got a nexus 5 when it dropped, but this phone is so "beast" I had to come back to Samsung, but it's Google Experience Launcher all the way for me!

I use picspeed wallpapers just to get the option when setting wallpapers, best wallpaper "setter" I've encountered. Can set scroll or not, landscape, portrait, with any of those you can zoom in and out while maintaining the proper size box which can be moved around so WYSIWYG. Never use it for getting wallpapers and cant comment on the part but it carries its freight for me by being the default "setter".
I'm using Action Launcher 2, all edge features work.
Nova would be awesome if the swipe down actually made the notifications expand. For the moment, I'm using Action since all the gestures work properly.
I used TW for a few days. It was fine. I didn't really hate it.
But I saw Nova had a beta version and I love it. Been running it a little over a day now without issues.
