Using Root Explorer, navigate to /efs/imei/
Open in text editor:

and make sure both say TMB

This is not for N variant, please read OP. You will have to restore nandroid or reflash stock firmware via Odin for your Korean N device. Hope this helps.

Can you please add support to the N, im in need to get my phone full working on tmobile since i bought it, there is no wifi calling, VoLTE, and i cant do calls at my home since they updated the CSC for their new bands, Please if you dont mind <3

This is not working on my SM-G955FD! I flashed it normally by TWRP. I checked on Root Explorer after flashing and found that the permissions for those files were not set right. May be that was why it did not work. Please help.

I am using it... permissions are ok. After flashing... Try this: (see image below)
Using Root Explorer, navigate to /efs/imei/
Open in text editor:
omcnw_code.dat
mps_code.dat
and make sure both say TMB
Reboot & Reflash...

Update 04/06/2018 ran v1 fir S8 and it worked... Thought we would have Visual Voicemail but it us not on my phone.
Just a quick heads up...I installed this from zip and it worked...but I had no control over my navigation buttons.
They would not show up unless I swiped from top of screen down. So I went to my Nandroid backup in TWRP and my navigation buttons worked normally......

However, when I make changes to mps_code.dat and omcnw_code.dat as you mentioned and reboot , the phone tells me that "It is an Invalid Sim" and I am unable to connect to network ! When I revert back the files, it works again ! Also when I try to flash your zip file, the following message appears " Failed to mount /odm Updater process ended with error :1 Error installing zip file". Am I doing something wrong? I do have IMSSettings.apk on my phone. Please help. Thanks in advance.
Doesn't work for me ether. Used v1 as I have s8+ not s9. Rebooted, and network locked. Have G955F. Also noticed a bunch of bloatware was installed on phone too. Reverted back until solution is fixed.
Great work! Runs well on my 950FD.
I noticed that with package, there are some app installed, such as: My Singtel, Papergarden, UBANK, Yandex etc. It will great if there is a method avoiding install these.

All Variants but laking Cat6 and ISAI? Why?
- Cat6 and ISAI made for different market, which use different hardware, they dont have same G3 specs like others so NO, they're not supported.
Can I upgrade to this ROM from other LP ROM?
- Yes, but I recommend to flash your latest kdz/tot first, then root, install TWRP and flash the ROM.
Can I dirty flash the ROM?
- You can dirty flash if u're using my previous version, but if anything wrong, a clean flash before reporting is a must.
LS990/VS985 fully working?
- Its mainly made for GSM only. If you're using CDMA and wanna try, go for it but dont report any issue here. Btw, LS990 NFC removed till I can get my hands on the device.
I'm stuck at Setup Wizard screen, there's no buttons for back or next?
- It's a minor issue caused by latest Google Service, happen when you cant connect to their server by wifi/data during the init setup. Just rotate the phone and you can skip that step. Sound weird, I know
Can I flash a custom kernel?
- Sure, u can use any custom kernel that support LG stock Lollipop.
Can I use Xposed with this ROM?
- Yes, when you flash the ROM, there's an option in Aroma: "Xposed support" (which will remove your QuickCover feature) then follow Xposed for Lollipop for the installation guide.
I dont have 4G/LTE option in network setting?
- Delete LteConfigs folder in system\app (D855 only) then reboot.

Hi,
Thanks for the ROM cloudy. Really liked you G2 work so it's good to see you here. All working well here, but there seems to be an issue with the settings app. When I open the settings via the app then it always swaps the view to list view instead of tabbed view. If I use settings by pulling down the notification bar then it's fine.

Also for anyone having problems to get lte go into settings - tethering and networks - mobile networks - network operators - search for networks - a few minutes later you should see ATT LTE if available then select it and then register it. That fixed it for me.

change contnents folder of tmo with this zip (must be extracted) and delete boot.img
it work fine for me only bluetooth and I think it will be fixed whit this must go to my car to test it
One thing to point out: in the Aroma installer, it says that it's installing to an LG G2 on the very first screen.

On D855 over a day and with just one minor problem so far. Sometimes loses Wi-Fi for a second or two.
Found one minor issue with the d851 varriant. Mini view does not seem to work. This may be due to me having knock off enabled on the navbar, so I'll test it further after I re-find the knock off option in tweaksbox. Just thought id share.

Think it has a different processor and maybe modem besides no cellular calling on the 237 right?...check the general sections there are some boards on this...235 and 235y are GSM variants cannot work on Sprint and vice versa 237 on say ATT or Tmobile

I've still not been able to get Xposed to work.
Also, is anyone able to confirm that charging and usb-otg can function simultaneously? I'm trying to work out whether or not mine isn't working is down to the ROM or my adapter.
All is good, except Xposed isn't working... hope it gets supported or we get a fix soon.

@ambasadii Thank you for the great lite ROM.
I was on XXU1BPC2 previously and having low storage problem. Decided to downgrade to this rom after failing to find root solution for XXU1BPC2.
Hope newer firmware will be rooted soon so that this ROM can get a update.
I have a problem with google account in this rom.
Cannot create google account because the phone thinks it cannot make a connection with google servers.
Any solutions?

For few hours of testing and frustration I found the following method that worked in my case:
1. Remove google account from accounts, if you have it there.
2. Remove Google Play Services updates and it's cache.
3. (Propably not necessary) wipe dalvik and cache in twrp.
4. Reboot and add google account to accounts.
Can i install this one over CM13?!
Ps. Can i install bootloader/modem through my existing twrp?! And do i need to install it in the first place?!

Has anyone tried to install on this rom viper4android?
I tried and did not want to work.
After downloading and installing the libraries, it asks to restart and still after rebot shows that the libraries have not been installed.
As of 8/28/18 SamFAIL is officially depreciated. There is no new root method at this time and i will not be helping find another one. Bootloader V3 is the final version of SamFAIL for Note8. DO NOT PM ME ASKING FOR HELP!!!

With that being said, you will need to know how to download files from the internet, extract a zip file and to use ODIN. That is basically it! Oh yea, BACK UP YOUR INTERNAL STORAGE AS THIS WILL ERASE IT! PLEASE BE SURE TO READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS THOROUGHLY BEFORE ASKING FOR HELP!
Prerequisites:
- SamFAIL Note 8 Pre-Rooted System.tar/PIT File Zip (in Post #2)
- SamFAIL Note 8 PART 2 Firmware Zip (also in Post #2)
- Comsey ODIN and Normal ODIN (Found in Post #2 Aswell)(Normal ODIN is just in case)
- Well your Note 8 of course, Need to be by a PC and ready to use Download Mode!
Part 1 Instructions:
IF YOU ARE ON U3(Rev3) bootloader you must Flash SamFAILv3_N8_FIRMWARE first THEN do part 1 THEN part 2 again. This IS a requirement. Not optional. Otherwise for U1 and U2 proceed as normal.
1) Unzip the SamFAIL Note 8 Pre-Rooted System.tar and PIT File to your PC.
2) Have Comsey ODIN up and ready. Place your Note 8 into Download Mode and Connect to PC
3) In the AP slot, select the Pre-Rooted system.tar.
4) Now go to the PIT tab(Click OK or close on the warning box) and click and navigate to the PIT file you also just downloaded and select it.

5) On the OPTIONS tab, you will select the following: Auto Reboot, F. Reset Time, NAND ERASE ALL, and Re-Partition.
6) Once you have everything in place and the correct options selected, press START.
7) ODIN will say FAIL at the end of the flash and the phone will have rebooted to upload mode saying "Unknow Error". Don't fret however, the system should have still been written!
8) You will have to get the phone back into Download mode( Hold Power, VOL- and bixby together and the phone will reboot to download mode and tell you its in emergency mode. THIS IS NORMAL.) and then proceed to Part 2 Instructions!
Basic ODIN flashing here guys... Not rocket science!
Part 2 Instructions:
1) Download and Extract the SamFAIL Note 8 Part 2 Firmware Zip to your PC
2) Click Reset in Comsey ODIN or close it out and re-open it so it is COMPLETELY cleared out
3) Now select the firmware. BL goes in BL, AP goes in AP, CP goes in CP, dont press start yet!
4) Now, this time we ARE NOT SELECTING A PIT FILE, We should just select Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time. DO NOT DO NAND ERASE ALL OR YOU WILL HAVE TO START OVER.
5) Once you got the partitions in place and the right options selected, Press Start!
7) Once phone boots up, Setup your device as normal and proceed to the SuperSU app. It may ask you to update the SU Binary. Select Normal method and let it do its thing. Follow its instructions then SU should say it was Successful in updating and it needs to reboot(You may have to do it multiple times. I believe its 2 or 3 times then its good) ENJOY SamFAIL ROOT!

- Download the full STOCK firmware of your choice.
- Flash it in ODIN/Comsey ODIN as you would any other time!
- It will take a few reboots for the "custom" splash screen to go away.

The exact condition is a Race condition caused by the AOD initilizing. Basially the normal screen turns on in AOD mode. Maybe once or twice a day. It happens when you turn the screen on right before the AOD starts. Hard to get timing consistantly

!PLEASE BE SURE TO READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS THOROUGHLY AND SEARCH THE POSTS BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS!
Prerequisites:
- Your Note 8 and PC ready to flash
- READ THE ENTIRE GUIDE!
- Download and extract all required files to convenient location, keeping all files organized, on PC
- Rooted your device with SamFAIL or be on another custom ROM, FlashFire installed, and Busy-Box!Steps:Step 1 - Ensure Busybox is installed to /system/xbin.
Step 2 - Ensure that SuperSu is updated.
Step 3 - Install FlashFire, Open FlashFire and grant it permission.
Step 4 – Select the RED + button on the bottom right of FlashFire.
Step 5 – Select "Flash ZIP or OTA" button.
Step 6 – Navigate to location of Fennec ROM and select it.
Step 7 – Check the box next to (Mount /system read/write) then select the check mark in top right corner.
Step 8 – Select "Wipe" button.
Step 9 – Ensure System data, 3rd party apps, Dalvik cache, and Cache partition boxes are selected then select the check mark in top right corner. Optionally, you can select Internal storage.
*Note* – If you are coming from my ROM, no Wipe is needed, unless directed by update.*Step 10 – Long press Wipe section and position it 1st before ZIP flash.
Step 11 – Leave Reboot section set to Normal unless you plan on flashing FR Odin files, then select Download and the check mark at top right.
Step 12 – Select the Flash section at the bottom of FlashFire. Boot will take a while so relax for a while.

The official SamFAIL V3 has been updated..., unless you really want these.
1.Flash V3 Bootloader Odin files, FR_U1-3BRA5_CMBO-3ARA3 In Prince Comsy's Odin,(yes it had a security error).
2. Boot to Download mode.
3. Flash the SamFAIL V3 System file according to SamFail Part 1 Instructions Here (normal error and upload screen).
4. Boot to Download mode.
5. Flash V3 Bootloader Odin files again, FR_U1-3BRA5_CMBO-3ARA3
6. Device should reboot. Relax, boot takes a few.
*If you get a bootloop on SamFAIL startup, flash carrier CSC in Odin. 3BRA9 CSC*
7. Skip setup and install FlashFire
8. Flash BlueFox ROM following instructions above.

I have linked a flashable Odin file that contains AQL1 Bootloader and BQL9 (U) Modem and one that contains AQK3 and BQL2 (U1)...choose to flash or not....The boot.img is AQL1....

You can flash just remove the boot.img by opening zip with winrar and deleting the boot.img...it will take a little time to delete...Then flash the zip...
If you already flashed it and get an error on boot, force download mode and flash your Odin files for 3BRA9

If we are on boatloader v3 can we use a modem from U1?

Tried pre v2, having the same problems as pre v1. My Outlook 365 work email account will not auto sync. I've used the Outlook app, Nine, and Bluemail. Also we use Okta Verify for MFA ar work. I cannot get push notifications on this app. I had these same issues on the last version. If I use Ketan ROM O4 without detonator these apps work without issue.
My provider is T-Mobile. I'm on N960FD.

the hong kong version of the n9600 that I have has carrier aggregation. I tested it using the Network Cell Info app. The detonator mod works absolutely phenomenal with it.

system/app/ImsSettings.apk (Package Name: com.samsung.advp.imssettings)
(Some international roms don't even have IMS Settings apk, so the Detonator will not work on those roms)
- THIS IS NOT FOR THE KOREAN N VARIANT!!! IF YOU HAVE A SM-N960N, IT WILL NOT WORK AND YOU WILL HAVE TO RESTORE PARTITIONS!
- How: Backup all partitions via TWRP;... Download and flash via TWRP.
- BACKUP ALL PARTITIONS BEFORE FLASHING! THIS IS NOT A STANDARD/REGULAR FLASHABLE ZIP! IF YOUR PHONE DOESN'T LIKE THE DETONATOR, (MAYBE A CARRIER/REGION LOCK) YOU WILL HAVE TO RESTORE PARTITIONS!
