I'm running NitrogenOS 8.1.0 Oreo and shoot on Snapdragon Camera (apk extract from LineageOS 7.1.2) with kenzo_s5k3p3_omida01_4k_30fps(survival_script)_by_kiraryu-signed (Special thanks to kiraryu for this mod )
But I have no luck when shooting in lowlight, 4K drop fps and terrible quality.

Thanks, but, what's special about this ? We have 4k video recording since the very first custom builds..

MKV Playback On View 4g

Ok, so far I have tried VPlayer, Rock Player and one of the other more popular players to try and play MKV files that were streamed via Serviio to the HTC View 4g using Wireless N. The playback using all of the players was very choppy and stuttery with lots of digital 'snow' or blocking. I copied a file to my SD Card (Class 10) and when I used Rock Player, Rock Player asks me if I want software or Hardware Decoding and when I select Hardware it drops back to the file selector screen after 'vibrating' for a milisecond. If I select Software then it's choppy and crappy.
Is there any player that can handle MKV playback of either local, Streamed or SMB content that isn't choppy when being played back?
I use Dice player on my Flyer. 720p mkv-files run without any problems.

Ok, I am not sure what is going on with my device because when playing the video in this player, it stutters then plays really fast and the audio is out of sync with the video by a few seconds during the introduction. I rebooted the tablet to see if that has any effect. It also had to use software decoding with this video which may be the issue.

Try to use the default setting instead of software decoding.
It doesn't give me the option. I double click on the file and it says that it is using Software decoding. :-/
Trial & Error
I really want to get this to work, so I tried streaming the first Episode from Game Of Thrones to my View using DLNA (Skifia) and the demo of Dice Player and it was choppy. So I skipped to the first episode of Sons Of Anarchy Season 1 and it played fine. Then I went to the second episode of Game Of Thrones and it seems to play fine. Neither video that played fine said that Dice Player was switching to software decoding. So it must be something with the Videos themselves. I will figure this out!

Stock player does not play MKV files.
In your examples the first has an odd size 712 pixels high vs. 720 pixels and is twice the bitrate. That format will probably not be decoded by the hardware decoders and falls back to software which causes the choppy playback.
Out of all of the free players out there QQ is the only one that can play 720p mkvs w/o a lag in the video ... though audio is off by like half a second.
MKV is not a format its a container. A file that has a .mkv extension could contain almost any format of video and audio, it can be virtually anything, just like .avi files so what really counts is what is inside. The hardware cannot possibly be setup to hardware decode all the countless possibilities for different formats and encoding schemes so when you have a file containing a video that is encoded in a non-standard (laugh because there are 100s of standards) scheme, the play falls back to software decode which hurts performance and playback.

Your problem with the file is right here:

High profile 4.x is Bluray (IIRC), which is going to be way to high for these poor tablets to handle without some better dedicated hardware. Even the Tegra 2 won't play profile 4, though it will play 1080p at lower profiles.
Has anyone tried a 1080p file in a lower profile (2 or 3 should look okay)? It might play with Dice or Rockplayer.

[Q] Playback and mediacenter capability

Hi all! I'm thinking about switching to sgs3, and as for now my only doubt I wasn't able to solve is this:
looks like the sgs3 should be able to handle videos of all resolution up to 1080p mkvs (or am I wrong?).. but can't find someone who tried it with an actual ~15gb mkv, or the now quite diffused h10p (less mb same quality, it seems).
So, how far will I be able to go with this new device? (both with the default player or mx/dice)
And, about the connectivity.. does usb otg and hdmi out are both on the same port?
In other words I'll be forced to use dlna for streaming the file from my pc to the i9300 (and connect to the tv via hdmi) or to stream the video to the tv using the new accessory (when connecting an hard disk via usb), or there will be a way to use both the cable connections?
Sorry both for the confusing question and the bad english and thanks!
I have tested the following file and can confirm that it works with the default player and with MX.

I don't have a h10p file around, so I can't test that.
About the HDMI out: Yes, HDMI out and OTG both use the USB port. You have to choose one.
Thanks for your feedback!
As for hi10 files the issue may be the compression, not at all the size, so a sample video should be enough for a test..
The single connection may be a problem.. mainly for the battery!
Send me a sample video and I'll try it.
I've found one and sent you the link in pm.
That file does not work.
Samsung Video Player: audio only
MX (HW mode): audio only
MX (SW mode): audio + video, video stutters, watching is not enjoyable
I tested a 720p file too: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26662169#post26662169

Question Existence of lag and delay in 4K video playback on Xiaomi Redmi Note 10

Hello dear friends. It's been three days since I bought the global version of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of ROM. Today, I tried to test the video quality with 4K, but unfortunately, the audio and video are not compatible during video playback, and there is a lag and delay during video playback. To solve this problem, most video playback software, including:I have installed MX Player, Upupler, VLC Player, etc., but the problem has not been resolved ... However, I have played the same 4K videos on the Samsung A12 without any problems, while the hardware and graphics processor of the Samsung A12 are much weaker than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10. Where do you think the problem comes from? The MiUI version of my phone is also 12.0.10 and the Android version is 11
Can you help me about your 4k video profile and codec information, or it's happening once or every time? I need this information to help your problem.

It should be noted that I watched the same video with the same quality with my previous phone, which was Xiaomi Redmi Pro, easily and without the slightest problem.

Wiko Ride 3, mt6762, $35 at Walmart on Boost Mobile

Anyone had any luck rooting this phone? I've had updates, so mtk-su didn't work when I tried it, but I'm anxious to know if it works on a clean factory install.
If you have any experience with this phone please share!
Thanks,
Karl

try mtkclient on windows to unlock boatloader igot a dump made give me a reply thanks ed ?
I'll have to factory reset to get a stock dump for you, I might have time to pull it off tomorrow if you really need it, I've been wanting to try it anyway to see if mtk-su will work before any updates come through
And no, it says unrecognized command when I execute the flashing unlock command
i just have a tablet p.c so I couldn't get python and mtkclient to work for some reason, but after reading some more, nck-dongle and some other box dongle s offer the boatloader unlock. get the boot.img flash magisk - unlock boatloader for mt8762 ? right
mtk-su isn't going to work I tried it, it was patched after 2019 on most phones
those are 50 bucks and up, there's a slew of dongles on the market, theres a couple other no-box mtk boatloader unlock tools I'm looking for, if they don't work the phone is patched and won't unlock
