I am trying to get iOS emojis to display by using the font method but every time I change it the emojis are on the top left of the keyboard.

I have tried the normal google keyboard that does not even display anything,

I've also tried different font packs and restarting the phone but non of them fix the issue.

Just use emoji switcher mate.

Did you ever figure out a way to solve this? I have the same issue and it's driving me crazy. A.I. type keyboard doesn't even display emojis anymore, same as gboard.
Rooting is not an option for me right now so emoji switcher wouldn't work.

i have barely same problem..as i switch to ios 12 font..emojis in keyboard works but when i use them on snapchat for example they appear stock?

Best user friendly keyboard for noob parents?

I picked up two HTC One S phones for my parents. It's their first smartphone, touch screen phone. As expected, my mom is having a hard time getting adjusted to the keyboard. The HTC Sense keyboard looks pretty cramped. I installed an ICS keyboard and it seem sto type better but still kinda small.
I'm thinking about getting a drawing typ eof keyboard but perhaps i should just tell them it isn't going to get easier, they'll just have to learn how to use them?
Try TouchPal Keyboard........with the classic skin(looks really cool)
There also many keyboards in the Play store......
These are some of the good ones...
-Go Keyboard (Lots of Themes)
-Smart Keyboard (Never tried it)
-Swiftkey X Keyboard (Powerful Prediction)
- Slide it (Never tried it)
or you can also try the stock keyboards like Swype if you dont like the default.

yeah, i ended up telling them to try landscape after my mom was playing with the phone and got surprised when she tilt it and the orientation changed haha. sometimes yo'ure so used to something you forget it exists.
Use smartkeyboard pro...
You can adjust the height of the keyboard, in both portrait and landscape mode...
It'll ease up the crampiness a little...

What's Your Favorite Android Keyboad & Why??

Hey there guys, I have been on the hunt for the Best Android Keyboad, and I wanted to see what everyone here was using?? I have tried stock, predictive, and the slide type, (I have not had the chance to play with any of the other 3rd party keyboards, with all sorts of different technology's.
So, I was wondering if some of you fellow xda-ers wanted to weight in on this, and help guide me on my adventure??
Thanks in advance :cool

swype for normal language but my most preferred is hackers keyboard. latter has a full keyboard like on pc when in landscape mode. pretty awesome on big screens like galaxy note. also almost every keyboard has the stupid white text entry over the entire remaining screen where there is not the keyboard, which hides my chat windows away and makes landscape a pain. hackers keyboard does not do such. you have keyboard and chatlog.
I like Android 4.2's stock keyboard. It has everything you need. Predictive text, spell-checking, gesture typing, multiple finger gesture typing. I use English Azerty, and it is just great for me!
Swype, until I get 4.2
MultiLink keyboard

Swype, although the 4.2 keyboard's implementation of this looks nice. I also like Hacker's Keyboard on my tablet which is just a PC looking keyboard layout. If they could implement a Swype functionality with it then it would be my favorite.
Swiftkey 3 is my Favourite.
Simply because
1)It is more intuitive than the rest, thus producing more CORRECT Auto Correction
2)It learns your way of typing and in real time monitors all that you type and maintains your individual statistics
3)It individually Learns from your fb,sms, email and twitter threads.
4)It also provides a good number of visual customization options
Thus overall it proves to be the best package

Thanx guys for the input, and all the great info I find ShayonX, IMO, as to swiftkey 3, and as far as "prediction boards", go I think there is no better. I was actually going to go with swiftkey 3, but I just found it was lacking on skins, and customization. I like to be able 2 change the size, and width of my characters, (due to wide fingers), and skins are a great Addition
I tried Swift key 3, touchpal keyboard, go keyboard, and perfect keyboard, and ended up going with "perfect keyboard, bcuz the customization is very deatailed. I also tried swype style keyboard, but I found predictive to be the style for me.
I am running the Moto Phonton, so I won't be getting the 4.0 or 4.2 update, so is there anything else out there to look @??

[Q] resize/enlarge/darken keyboard text

hey folks,
today i ran an update from kies which upgrades me to 4.1.2. the update changed a few things which some i like and some i don't. those that i don't like Ive been able to find a workaround/solution for except for one.
they keyboard for Samsung keyboard which pops up when i select a field to type shows the Samsung keyboard which is default which is good but the letters seem to be a bit thin. i believe before the update the letters on the keyboard were bolder looking. without changing my theme or adding any additional third party software, does anyone know how i can increase the size of the keyboard letters, or make it bolder? Ive tried increasing the text size which enlarges the text for everything else (all the menus) but does not change the keyboard size or boldness.
if the only way to change this is with third-party software and i have no other option, i'd still appreciate your advice!
thanks in advance
Get 4.2 keyboard.. and install.. it will work like a charm

I can suggest, as 3rd party app, SwiftKey. I think it's way better than the Samsung keyboard.

What keyboard do you prefer?

I want to switch the default honor keyboard what do you guys prefer to use? Can you post screenshot also? Thanks ?
I use Xperia keyboard
SwiftKey has been my default keyboard for years. It is able to load 3 languages simultaneously, learn and saves the words and predicts the next words based on your typing history. Whenever I change phone or did a reset, I just have to log in to my account and get all my previous typing history without the need for the app to relearn it again. For example, when I type in my office address, after I put in the company name it straight away suggests the address, I just need to select it in the prediction/suggestion bar no need to retype.

oh no, wait. ... gboard.
GBoard and Hackers Keyboard
Gboard
I use GBoard and SwiftKey. I keep changing between them but as of now I'm using GBoard.

Fleksy, Best keyboard for Android
Older Google keyboard V5.1.23.xxx and Hackers keyboard V1.37
I use SWIFTKEY and Huawei swype
Gboard is the best with no lag.
Currently using GBoard
Gboard is the best with all features, no lag.small size.
Swiftkey. I tried Gboard but I like the features on Swiftkey better.
AnySoftKeyboard as it is quite customizable
Gboard is coolest one.
GBoard for the dual-language gesture typing support.

Android Pie Emoji face replaced by stickers on input Bar

Hi, I don't know if my issue is related to Android Pie, Samsung's new UI, or Galaxy S8's, so I'm posting it here, I tried looking all over but couldn't find the right search terms... Anyway, I like to use emojis when I txt because I've found over the years that txt's can be taken the wrong way if they're read out of context, so I like to use happy and or sad faces a lot to make sure my meaning gets sent across.
I have pretty much exclusively used Swype+Dragon for years as my keyboard, and the emoji face has always been on the input bar. Yesterday I got pushed to Android 9 and the emoji icon is now replaced by a "sticker" icon, which is completely worthless and idiotic to me.
The only way it seems to access emojis is with the toolbar on the Samsung keyboard, but since Swype doesn't have this button, I'm sort of SOL.
While researching it yesterday I discovered a video of someone going over the differences between Pie and Oreo and his input bar on Oreo had the sticker button, not the emoji button, so it led me to believe that this is some how customizable, but I haven't been able to figure out a way to do it.
Does anybody know if it's possible to replace the sticker icon on the input bar with the emoji icon? This is on an S8.
I've attached a screen shot showing the icon I'm talking about, it's in Messenger and it's the square smiley face on the input bar.
Thanks!
Hi, I just updated from Oreo to Pie, also use Swype/ dragon, and am experiencing the same problem! Ever find a solution?
