on demo unit P20 lite seems faster that Samsung A8 2018 - Huawei P20 Lite Questions & Answers

I'm looking at a budget 18:9 smartphone and I was thinking about Samsung A8 2018 but I also saw P20 lite and I really like how small this phone is
On paper and benchmarks A8 has a better hardware in really life, at least on store demo units, the A8 is slower that P20 lite
I try to open some apps like Chrome, address book, messages and on P20 lite they opens right away on A8 they have a "delay"
I was wondering if faster OS / UI + less powerful hardware of P20 lite can result in a faster and smoother experience VS a better hardware and an heavier UI on A8

Try to tweak down system animations to 0.5 X in Developer Options.

Samsung Xperience has that defect that has a 1 second delay when opening all the apps but you can fix it by accelerating the animations to 0.5
between the Kirin of the P20 lite and the Exynos of the A8 I prefer the latter, it is less bad than the Kirin

[4.4.2] Rec. and ADB Screen recording very laggy

CyanogenMod 11 M5 is great, no doubt about that, performance is better, it's way cleaner and streamlined, less bloated and the latter...
It's been a few days probably, almost a week since I've been using CM11, it's somewhat stable, but after digging across the new features and whatnot, I came across one small hiccup.
Screen recording is VERY LAGGY.
For a phone that sports the following specs:
1.4GHz Quad Core Exynos 4412 Processor
1GB RAM
Mali-400MP4 GPU
and the rest which I'm too lazy to type...
I find it difficult to believe that the phone would be so laggy, close to an unusable state in screen-recording mode, I've tried other apps like screencast (am I right?) and REC. (one of the most popular kitkat recording apps) but all seems to have the same very laggy results.
I've used the ADB method (which I believe is the one also used by REC.) in kitkat which is really laggy as well.
Tried workarounds:
- Rebooting
- Setting minimum clock to 1.4GHz
Video showing how laggy the device is in screen recording mode:
I also saw another guy using an S3, but a different version (SH-i747)
The only main difference between the int'l version and his version is that the SH-i747 has 2GB of RAM, a (lower) dual core processor, and (not sure if better or not) Adreno 225 GPU
I really really really hope you guys could help with this prob, I don't really see why screen recording is so slow with a phone at this arsenal. Please do help, much appreciated
Device Info:
Device: Galaxy S3 int'l [GT-i9300]
ROM: CM11 M5
Kernel: Stock CM
Android Version: Kitkat 4.4.2
Hey,
Have you found solution ?
I think its laggy because the Galaxy S3 doesn't have this feature enable by default. Plus we're talking about an experimental feature here. Hopefully this mod can be updated to perform better.

[Q] Huawei MediaPad 10 Link Custom ROM

Huawei MediaPad 10 Link is less known tablet with good specs. General specs are:
Huawei HiSilicon K3V2 1.2 GHz quad-core processor based on ARM Cortex-A9
1 GB RAM
1280x800 (1280x752 actual res.)
160 DPi
8 GB Internal Storage
S10-201U (WiFi+3G Only)
Vivante GC4000 GPU (Huawei said its "gaming" tablet i think not its lags and gives max 20 fps on basic games)
Android specs;
Version: 4.1.2 Jelly Bean API Level 18
6000 mAh battery.
Low to mid end range tablet but have no custom roms or recovery. Stock firmware is total bulls***. Lags way too much and makes tablet sometimes unusable. I wonder why anyone not intrested in with this tablet i see many people waits for it. Is there any developer works on this? If no sadly i have to sell this tablet because i cannot use due to over lagging software. (Full stock only rooted and bloatware removed without any tweaks)
IMPORTANT!
There is no Q&A forum so i have to post it here sorry for it!

[POLL] Your Huawei mediapad x1 performance : Satisfied with it?

Hi all.
I'm having a Huawei Mediapad X1 (7d-501u) however after purchase its performance was really really poor and laggy. Updated the software to B011 version , still the same poor performance (maybe just a very bit less laggy) ... So am I the only one with this experience ? Are other people satisfied with this device performance? It should be packed with 2gb ram & 1.6 quad processor... Actually I was expecting a monster in my hands...
Please share your opinions.
Thanks.
The hardware advantages of the X1, are: its screen (size and quality) and its huge battery. Processor and other performance issues are not. Just compare to previous top phones like the oneplus one.
The X2 should correct this, but maybe too late....
Totally agree with you. The screen and battery are great, but compare the performance with even much inferior devices like my samsung tab 4 7.0" which i thought it was a slow device untill I bought the X1 !
I really miss my old note 8.0 it was liquid smooth...

[PUBG Mobile] Note 8 Exynos Optimisation Issue (SM-N950F)

I own a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Exynos variant and I am running stock firmware, unrooted.
Here's my problem:
The problem is with the optimisation of PUBG Mobile for the Note 8 Exynos variant.
No support for Extreme FPS or even Ultra on minimum graphic (Smooth) for Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (Exynos 8895) variant.
I get High FPS on HD but no Ultra or Extreme FPS on Smooth and Balanced.
While the Samsung Note 8 (Snapdragon 835) users get Ultra FPS on HDR and also Extreme FPS on Smooth,I don't even have the HDR option on my (Exynos 8895) variant.
The game performs really poor even though, I get a Antutu score of 1,80,000.
Games feels like I'm playing it on a low end device even though this device cost me almost thousand dollars.
Please tell the developers to fix it,if there's anyone who knows the developers or in contact with.
Not willing to use GFX device cause my device is not trash and account also gets banned.
Looking forward to get good responses.

Converting one ui core to one ui

Im using samsung galaxy m30s mobile it comes with os one ui core
But all galaxy mobiles except m series has one ui
One ui core does not have all feature's like one ui it has limited features its lite version of one ui
And the major problem is one ui core doesnot support knox ,good lock and many other great apps which was used for customization.
So finally i want to change my os from one ui core to one ui
Does anybody knows how to change...with root or without root any solution....
There is a reason why OneUI Core isn't being provided to such mid-range smartphones. OneUI has a horde of pre-installed applications and hardware based features which require a high configuration of RAM, GPU and CPU. Only Samsung devices equal to or higher than A series are provided with OneUI "non-Core" because their hardware is suitable for running it. Anything lower than that has OneUI Core.
But, but, this isn't the end of it. Many devices have developers that provide custom ROMs that allow you to basically wipe OneUI Core and install OneUI. You can have a look at M30s XDA forum.

Not really, no. Samsung A10S from A series which I have, has One UI core.
And high configuration? Check out A32 and F22, Same chipset, same ram and rom combination, yet, A32 contains One UI and F22, which is just another version of A22 with varying battery capacity, both of which also contain One UI core.
It's not about series or letters, it's about the numbers.
