Q Founder keeps disconnecting - Fossil Q Founder

When I had my Android phone and ran Android Wear, I never had a problem with keeping my Q Founder connected. Now that I'm back to iPhone, it keeps disconnecting. I've contacted customer support and they ran me through some steps which involved deleting and reinstalling the Wear OS app and rebooting the watch. It didn't seem to help. Anyone else having the same issue?

[Q] is anyone else getting constant freezes?

I have tried in freezing all the apps to Bo extent and haven't uninstalled anything. I thought it might have been launcher pro so I uninstalled that with no success. It happens frequently when listening to music. Maybe I need a task killer? Help?

ive never had that propblem... i dont know what moto did, but this is the most stable android phone ive ever owned, and ive owned just about every one verizon has sold.
Well I can't seeing it being a defect because it allows me to click the app, but it freezes halfway through. Maybe I'm not giving i enough time to boot up..?
I've had this issue as well. Freezing mostly when playing Angry Birds. I'm not sure if it was to do with Wifi since I only play when working at the gift shop and I'm on wifi because no cell service in that part of the hospital

Messages going to iMessage still...

Anyone else experience issues with this? Its been a month or so since I made the switch from iPhone 5s to M8. A lot of my friends and family on iOS still complaining that their messages arent going through to me. Even after erasing my number and re-adding it. Also, even after I erased my number from all Apple devices.

Have you advised them to go to Settings > Messages > Turn on Send As SMS if iMessage is unavailable?

This also happens to me. Some people with iPhones can text me fine and with others it goes through iMessage and fails

i believe Crapple does this on purpose to punish us for moving to android. I dont see why this isnt something that would automatically shutoff when the sim is inserted into an android phone or can be changed by logging into your icloud or something. Leave it up to Crapple to lock us down and make us go by their rules.
Either you still have an idevice or Mac with Imessage running or your friends are not telling the truth. All you have to do is delete the conversation on an idevice and next text works fine. Sure you don't have an iPad in the closet with Wi-Fi or something? Someone could have your login too.

Haha nah been happening with my cousin and dad as well. Its just Apple's Servers have to deregister your number from their server. iMessage ppl erased the convos in front of me and tried to text me and it still goes to iMessage. Highly unlikely that anyone has my password, and even more highly unlikely that I'm logged in somewhere else on another device. I double, triple checked and made sure.

when they send an message on iMessage does it fail for them or go through?
I had same problem. Called Apple and they said I already had my number deactivated. So I had ask my friend do this «send message. Double tap message. Click send as sms» after about 10 messages their phones started to realize my number was no longer working with an iPhone.

5.1.1 and text messages

I'm not sure if this problem is isolated to me or if it affects everyone, so I thought I'd ask.
tl;dr: text messages don't persist on the phone, and in Google Messenger in particular, outgoing texts don't display as part of the conversation.
I use Google Messenger by default, and I noticed that none of the text messages I sent were appearing in the conversation history. Turns out, they weren't reaching the recipients either.
I switched to Google Hangouts, and all of the texts I received from (and sent to) other people before my upgrade were present, but any texts I received from others were gone.
I tried deleting and reinstalling Google Messenger, thinking maybe it was a version/cache thing, and again, any text I received before the upgrade was present, but none since the upgrade, including any I had received while using Google Hangouts.
Something definitely seems f%@#ed up here. Am I alone?

Same here. Verizon's messaging app works though, and actually seems half decent.
Yep just got off phone with VZ support and that is the workaround (use Verizon Messages Plus) they are doling out as a fix to the problem, says tech will be getting in touch with Sony for fix and may be another small update for it.
Lots of reddit users are having the same issue. If you're up for it, it looks like a factory reset will fix the problem.

I haven't had many phones. I'm assuming this doesn't happen to often, cause this is crazy. What if only 10% of you having update issues needed your phone for work? How can companies stay in business doing this kind of thing?

If it is a company supplied phone I would think that any modifications would be forbidden, any good IT department would be on top of any shananagans as such. I'm IT for the corporate office I work at (don't be impressed, I'm the office Alphageek and won the title by default.) and when corporate supplied the phones they maintained tight rein over the units. Now we are "bring your own device". As such if your phone is critical for your job and you bork it I would expect corporate to tell you to fix the problem ASAP even if it means buying another phone.

My bad, I see your point now. For an official update this one has created a world of grief for many that installed it via the "official" route. Usually a factory reset is a last resort to many and apparently for this update it looks like a required step.
[EDIT] Just checked the official Verizon forums. People are struggling with the same problems that are being posted here. It looks like a couple have figured out a factory reset works and are trying to spread the word, there is very little Verizon help showing up.

A few years ago it did back when we were running a mix of name brand systems (Dell, Gateway and HP). I would say it occupied 30-50% of my time, since then we have standardized on Dells running Windows 7. That is a bulletproof combination in an office environment. I know everyone bad mouths Dells but since we with Dell/Win 7 my workload has dropped 90%.

Do you realize that the text issue is completely unrelated to any "modification". This phone was "borked" by a VZ-pushed OTA. I had to do a factory reset last night, lost my corporate e-mail set up through Touchdown. I also missed communications previously, while I was unaware of the texting issue. Those texts are just "gone" now. This is very poor form on the part of VZ, not even checking that texting will continue to work after users upgrade.

I wasn't implying you goofed up your phone, just following up on AddictedtoGlass's comments, sorry if it came across that I was.
Yeah, this update does seem to be causing more grief than usual. That may be keeping with the comments I stumbled across in Verizon's forums claiming that the code sent to Verizon by Sony wasn't "up to snuff" in Verizon's opinion and that is why Verizon sit on the update so long. Looks like they should have sit on it a little bit longer. I'm on 5.0.2 and my phone is pretty stable so I'm content to stay there until this is all straightened out, if ever.
I have been trying to find more info on Verizon's community forums but they have managed to make their forums so hard to navigate now that finding particular threads is almost impossible. I guess that is one way of controlling the flood of complaints.

What the hell is wrong with the bluetooth on this thing???

I can not figure out for the life of me why this is an issue on my Verizon V10. I have an alpine radio in my car, and whenever play music with my V10 to the radio over bluetooth, it skips all the time and it gets very very annoying. Sometimes a restart fixes this, sometimes clearing the cache for the bluetooth fixes this, but it always comes back. I do not know if it does this with calls as well. It does it with every bluetooth device I have connected to it. My radio being the most used one. I have done a factory reset, and hat has done nothing for me. Any help is greatly appreciated.
I have the same issue and cannot figure it out. Quite frustrating. Please update if you figure anything out and I will do the same.
I had issues. I ended up calling Verizon as I had issues even installing updates! I had to factory reset a crap load of times and it was pissing me off. I have since contacted LG. The phone was under factory warranty so I sent it back to them and they "re-calibrated my gps" and re-provisioned the phone to meet factory specifications. Now 2 weeks in it seems to have fixed the Bluetooth issue. Hoping it doesn't come back. By the way, this is the second LG V10. The first one was so bad Verizon swapped out the phone for me.
It's a software issue with 6.0 which was fixed with 6.0.1 which was released by Google in December of 2015 which we haven't gotten 14 months later.

So it is a software issue huh? The way it acts would make it seem like a hardware problem, but anything is possible with this thing apparently.
I have the same troubles too. It will cut out for a second her and there. In my car AND with my LG Tones. I could be playing music or a podcast. I could have the phone less than a foot away with no obstructions and it still cuts out. Pretty Suresh it's not a hardware issue.

I actually went through the problem of taking my radio out and extending the Bluetooth antenna thinking it might have been the problem. I am glad I am not the only one with this problem. I am a couple weeks out of warranty now too so I will have to live with it.

I keep reading on different sites that nougat may be around the corner. If that is the case then I hope it gets fixed.
To the best of my knowledge it was fixed in 6.0.1 which was released 4 months BEFORE the V10 got 6.0.
Ya never know, it could have been broken in 7.0 and I HIGHLY DOUBT we'll get 7.1.1.

Maybe it's just placebo, but after pondering/testing this exact question since I got this phone the day it released, seems to me that closing chrome has the most positive influence on bluetooth quality. I tend to close everything but messenger and jetAudio just to make myself feel better. Also noticed that poweramp didn't work as well as jA under any circumstances. Test your running apps, test your music app. Just my .02
Had big expectations for this phone.. Bluetooth issues, screen burn-in, no root (yet), no oem nougat still, kind of let down

Bluetooth crackling/static

Is anyone else having an issue when streaming music via Bluetooth? It sounds like static/crackling, kinda like the audio is being clipped at the higher end.
I just got the phone on Monday so I have time to try and exchange it if it could be a bad phone. Just not sure if it is a common issue or not.
Sent from my VS988 using Tapatalk
It could also be your Bluetooth device. try yhe device with other phones and see if the static persists. make sure you test 1 to 3 songs across the devices and make sure the songs are the same.

I too came from a V10. my V10 had plenty of problems, my Beats Solo 2 wireless would crack a lot, as well as my Jaybirds x2. once I got my G6 the only cracking I got was when I stepped out of rage. anyways I'm just saying to test things out with multiple devices, multiple Bluetooth devices would be ideal as well. don't just quickly assume it's not something. doesn't matter if it's a car or not tech is tech and some of it may be defected.

I can try other things but so far it does the exact same thing in my car and my wife's car. I am fairly certain it is related to the phone.

So far it seems like it isn't as bad when I am not wearing my smart watch. I might try it with my fit bit disconnected too to test that theory.

So i just exchanged the phone for a new oneand have the same issue. It is definitely something related to the phoneand how it handles bluetooth because my V10 with the same apps and devices doesn't have this issue.

It does kinda suck, but I have a feeling it has to do with Android Wear app. So I think at some point I am going to do a factory reset and only install apps that don't use Bluetooth at all and then keep installing one at a time to see if I can narrow it down.

Definitely share your results. I sold my Nexus 6p or I would do some more testing as well.
I'm pretty sure it's a bug with the phone's bluetooth. It happens to me when connected to my Android Wear watch. If I turn off my watch, the crackling stops.
Yea, I am pretty positive it is Android Wear/Smart Watch related. I unpaired my watch from my phone and uninstalled Android Wear and the issue seems gone.
Weird.
EDIT: Nevermind, it's still there, it was better for a while.

LG & Verizon (SMH)
The Bluetooth is TERIBLE on these phones - The BLE doesn't work and too many devices paired (especially smart watches) messing up streaming something Awful. There are MANY software bugs especially using google music and many other programs/apps - the longer you use the phone to more the bugs will standout, but in LG's defense they have issued a software update, but with Verizon there's Really No Telling when will get it (if we get it)
