Phone not booting and with FRP locked - Huawei P20 Lite Questions & Answers

Hi guys!
I was relocking my bootloader on my Huawei P20 Lite and now it isn't booting at all. It goes to the eRecovery screen and that's it.
I tried reverting what I've done, but now the FRP lock is preventing me from executing any fastboot commands from my PC.
Does anyone know what to do?

Why you decided to do that? To avoid initial screen, your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted...
Did you do any kind of modification in the partitions before relock bootloader?

I had done something similar and could not do anything anymore by the frp lock,
I have downloaded the ROM from this link, (make sure this rom is for ure model of phone)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...om-official-emui-8-0-huawei-p20-lite-t3773999
then I used this
https://www.dc-unlocker.com/file-list/DC-unlocker_softwares/DC_Phoenix/DC_Phoenix_v52.rar.html
and I paid 15€ ( to use the dc app ) to flash update.app even though there is frplock they can get around this.
it costs money but that's how my p20 works
I have not found a free way yet

why did you paid for that?
I did it myself, factory reset then I simply flashed the stock system. IMG and did a fastboot relock...
Who did you paid?

@mchtt can you post the instruction on how to flash from the China version to the international version.
I downloaded the system.img file you uploaded but have no idea how to use it - create update.app and drag the system.img file in there?
Thanks ahead of time.

You should not continue of you don't know how to use files, flashing phone is not as easy we think.
First, you be to provide informations, what's your phone ID, your rom version, and what did you do exactly to your phone ?
My system.img was extracted from the stock update.app version P20 Lite ANE-LX1-C432.
U can simply flash it:
Fastboot flash system system.img
But before or after is mandatory to do a factory reset or full wipe.
It will reset your phone to stock and you will be able to re-lock the bootloader with fastboot if it's not done already.

My phone was in a bootloop and there was no recovery and there was no way to factory reset..
To flash img file u need frp unlock and mine was locked

Update on the situation: I sent the device to the atores warranty and they swapped it straight away. Got lucky this time

Flash Counter Question

Hey guys, I have a quick question about my warranty and root with the Elemental recovery. I rooted my tablet and loaded the recovery and now am having some issues UNRELATED to the modding of my tablet. Now I am going to send it in for repair and want to make sure they don't receive a modded tablet. Do I just need to do a factory reset or are there some other steps I need to take to make sure that when they receive my tablet, they can't tell it was ever modified? I read about a flash counter somewhere, so I'm not sure if I have to do anything with that, or if it really is as easy as a factory reset. I would love any and all help and look forward to hearing back.
Thanks a bunch,
Chris

I would say to do a back up if possible. After what I did is a flash the factory image and I relock the bootloader. If you don't flash the factory image and you don't relock the bootloader , they would just send it back.
Here are the commends for the flashing of recovery images.
Fastboot flash bootloader bootloader...
Fastboot reboot
Fastboot erase boot
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Fastboot erase recovery
Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Fastboot erase system
Fastboot flash system system.img (this can take up to 15 minutes do not cancel process)
Fastboot erase cache
Fastboot flash cache cache.img
Fastboot erase vendor
Fastboot flash vendor vendor.img
Fastboot reboot bootloader
After you finish that, you must type the following command.
Command to relock your devices
Fastboot oem_lock
I hope this was helpful.
I don't see why you can't just use the "flash all" batch file. Does the batch file do something different?

Yes but must of the time it says the it could found files. Try it and if it doesn't flash all do the steps that I posted before
Just wanted to thank you jonny, I'm fresh on the newest factory image.
Its no problem

Bricked Moto Z

I think I bricked my Moto Z XT1650-03 (the UK international unlocked version),
I unlocked the bootloader and flashed the official twrp recovery, but made the stupid mistake of cancelling the backup in progress in twrp. Now I am stuck at the warning of the unlocked bootloader. I am able to enter the bootloader and the recovery mode but can't get the device to start. I did a factory reset from twrp, still didn't help.
I think maybe flashing the stock recovery might help. But I haven't found any reliable links to the stock recovery for my particular device.
Any solution to this problem?

Hello, So here https://firmware.center/firmware/Motorola/Moto%20Z/Stock/XT1650-03/ we are all the Stock Firmware for the Moto Z XT1650-03,You just have to look for the one you wanted, So download it and inside the .zip file'll find the files recovery.img and flash it manually with fastboot command.
but do not know if it will work, I think it is better to flash the entire system directly.
Sorry for my Bad English
here there are the commands: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=69065373&postcount=14

Can you please help me with which one of those firmwares I'm supposed to download? All I know is that mine is the UK version according to this thread
https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-z/help/moto-z-griffin-versions-compatibility-t3470885
Thank you in advance.
Put the device in Fastboot mode, and type "fastboot getvar all". then go to "(bootloader) ro.carrier:" and see what is the carrier. after this go to the page to download the stock firmware and search you carrier .

Re-Locking Mate 10 Pro Soft Brick

I'm attempting to reset my Mate 10 Pro completely to stock and I successfully unrooted the phone but then when I attempt to relock the phone using "fastboot oem relock [unlock code]" it sends me to the relock screen, and I select relock. From there it goes through the factory reset and relocking process and when it's done, it says that it successfully relocked the device. Then it reboots me back to the stock recovery and that's where I'm now stuck. If I hit reboot it reboots back to recovery, and shutting down and using the power button to turn on does the same. Any ideas? I unlocked it AGAIN after this happened and it boots up normally. I tried to use the HWOTA8_Mate10 tool to relock it, and it resulted in the same way as the manual method. Any ideas?

Do you have any modified partitions, twrp?
I would try the repack script in HWOTA8 and select Lock. This will update and then Lock phone rather than Relock.
If the repack script works that is.
You can take a look at the script and see what it does. I think it just adds the lock function to updater-script.
Else I guess you could just do a full update, then relock.

I do have twrp, I tried to flash stock recovery but I'm getting "partition length get error". I'm trying to use the repack script but it says I need update_data_public.zip, which I can't seem to find. I do have update.zip though.
Edit: I should probably also add that the model I'm using is BLA-A09
Edit 2: Dug deeper and found how to get the remaining 2 zips. I tried to use the tool to update and lock but it gives me "Unable to patch file or file already patched! Code: 1"

Well, are you flashing stock recovery to recovery_ramdisk?
E.g. fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk recovery_ramdisk.img
HWOTA is outdated, while it shouldn't need to patch it will fail because the things it tries to patch have changed.
But try just flashing back stock recovery and then relock.

I messed around some more and still unsuccessful. I can successfully flash the stock recovery (when I used adb reboot recovery it takes me to the stock recovery instead of TWRP) but I'm still unable to get out of the recovery screen when I relock the phone. I tried to use the tool (even thought you said it was outdated I gave it a shot) and use "replace_recovery" but that still didn't work. Also I should note that on my fastboot screen it says my FRP is unlocked, not sure if that has any effect though.

Flash FullOTA to your current firmware using either HWOTA or HuRUpdater (from TWRP, do not keep twrp after).
Then try relock after that.

Thank you. I tried to reset through the setting and through eRecovery, for both, the reset stuck at 0%. Bootloader is unlocked, FRP is locked. I can't toggle the button to enable OEM unlocking.
Are you using phone with working sim, or without? Why I ask about sim? If not working sim card, then a lot phones will not give OEM unlock option, once it was for me with Sony phone, after I inserted sim needet to wait weak and only then OEM unlock option was accessable.
What are your phone full model ? Like, ane-lx1c432b166

ok, didnt give full ph0ne model, dont need, can go and find all you need yourself : from this : https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...om-official-emui-8-0-huawei-p20-lite-t3773999
7. dload package
In this site you can search for firmware by Huawei P20 Lite or directly by your device oem name (ANNE-L01, ANNE-L03, ANNE-L21, ANNE-L22, ANNE-L23, etc...
http://androidhost.ru/search.html
Download the firmware that match with your device and unzip.
Under folder Software you will found the folder dload, copy this folder to sdcard.
Under folder ReleaseDoc you will find a Software Upgrade Guideline.docx, read it.
User data will be wiped.
Update is done with stock recovery
If your Bootloader is currently unlocked at the end it will be changed to lock state.
i gues you have your bootloader code, you can even use older package, adn reset your phone using this dload method!!

Hallo again,
Ok so for the stock recovery you can download it on the thread by ciubi93, on this link https://mega.nz/#!SR9RzKST!dhXS0yC-p_SvWu-SYYLaop1aRFzSulLVrnSXCVVJiGI after you download this, download the fastboot adb tools - here's a link of the xda for that https://www.xda-developers.com/install-adb-windows-macos-linux/ after you did that guide from xda, copy the stock recovery into that folder and then press shift+right click of your mouse on the folder and select "open powershell window here (in case of windows 10) or in case of windows 7 (open command prompt window here)" , if you have a power shell window then power off your device then press power ON + volume down and type on the window ".\fastboot flash recovery recovery_ramdisk.img ", after this you have your stock recovery successfully reset and you can now flash the official dload package, try it via power ON + Volume down + Volume up at the same time until the huawei logo disappears and then you release.
I really hope this helps cause I tried this a lot on mine.

Hi there
Yeah I forgot you have FRP locked....My bad....Anyway, can you tell me the current build you have and the one you want to install? Example: C17 8.0.0.140
Because if you try to install a different firmware which is not from your country you need to change your oem info first.

Also if you had it unlocked I assume you have the unlock code with you, in that case try this first:
Relock the bootloader using fastboot command "fastboot oem relock *codehere* " this will erase all DATA, it will do an hard reset, be sure to backup first!
After that, you can unlock the bootloader again via fastboot command "fastboot oem unlock *codehere*" and then it will unlock both bootloader and FRP

Hm, if I'm correct, you can't unlock bootloader, if frp are locked, frp will be unlocked, when you allow OEM unlock under developer options.
Only thing there can do, connect with mofuz ROM developer to help return to stock, otherwise our suggestions will not work, because all I know is for stock emui.
But yeah, with right phone build number he shulda be able to return to stock with no problem, so, does he know what was stock emui build he had before started to play with phone..??!!
And, can download all dload packages and try them all, no harm if it fails, but maybe some will reflash system as it should be

You can't unlock FRP when you have the booloader unlocked yes I know, but what I said is for him to relock first and then unlock it again Once he unlocks again the FRP will become unlocked, I looked into this thread for that and they also confirmed it works here's the proof if you have doughts quoting @clsA "FRP Lock occurs when the phone has a firmware mismatch and or oem unlocking is not on in developer options":

I locked and relocked the bootloader, now i can only access to the recovery or to the fastboot. In the recovery, anything i do like reset, my phone reboot again to the recovery, in the fastboot mode i can't relock the bootloader, need to access to the phone to enable developer options. I tried to do a hard reset or an update with dload, nothing work, always rebooting to the recovery. My phone is broken now

[SOLVED] Realme 5i stuck on fastboot after flashing custom ROM no recovery or OS

Yes, Im stuck. Im on realme 5i and I flashed PixelExperience+ with TWRP, clean flash, made sure to wipe data and clear cache before and after flashing. I rebooted and boom, stuck on fastboot/bootloader. I can't go back to recovery mode or to system, it just takes me back to fastboot/bootloader. I backed up my files btw.
Supposed fixes that did not work:
1: Fastboot erase boot && fastboot erase dtbo && fastboot erase recovery && fastboot erase vbmeta && fastboot erase system && fastboot erase userdata and fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img && fastboot flash dtbo dtbo.img && fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.img && fastboot reboot-bootloader.
- it brings me back to fastboot when I try to go to recovery mode.
2: Push volume down/up and power button.
- it brings me back to fastboot when I try to go to recovery mode. (2)
3: flash stock recovery (I can't go to recovery so I cant flash stock ROM too)
- it brings me back to fastboot when I try to go to recovery mode. (3)
What else do I do? Am I missing something from the fixes I've tried above?? I am in need of urgent help.
Update: I've tried realme flash tool, for stock ROM and it says cannot find central directory.
I've tried putting the ofp to AppData/Roaming/flashtool/temp as said from another thread. I've also tried running in administrator but none work. I've ran out of luck today, please help.
Phone: Realme 5i
Story: I had my phone get a custom recovery, TWRP. Got it rooted. Before I rooted it I rolledback to android 9, ColorOS, bw. Then decided why not use a custom ROM? So I did. PixelExperiencePlusEdition ANDROID 12. I flashed it with TWRP, factory reset and cleared cache, in other words, clean flash. I'm hopeless cause once I rebooted, I got sent to fastboot then when I tried to go to recovery mode, it sends me back to fastboot! What do I do? I need help. please.
Update: So maybe I am doing the 1st method wrong. I got all the img files wrong, cause I need them from my stock firmware right? So I tried programs to extract those img from their new.dat.br files right? I did and the extractors keep giving me something is missing, line this and that is incorrect or something like that. I'm really hopeless. Can someone give me the img files of RMX2030EX_11_OTA_0210_all_1hZhuZlgVC1t? system.img, boot.img, vendor.img, vbmeta.img, dtbo.img? What else am I missing to manually flash it?
I am facing the same issue as well, I had downloaded the RMX2030EX_11_C.75_210917_1b9832bb file and extracted using https://github.com/bkerler/oppo_decrypt but the first method still didn't work. was is the wrong file? or did the decryptor didn't work properly idk.

I managed to fix, you will need download these files from telegram. one of them should work for me the ColorOS file worked. Follow the instruction given in the readme file and that should do. I am installing DotOS now it showing the splash animation from last 5 minutes, if it works i'll update the comment or will provide further instructions to fix.
FastbootFix-Realme-5-5i-5s~RUI.zip
FastbootFix-Realme-5i~Color OS.zip
Edit: the reason it was taking so long to bootup and was stuck on splash animation is that I forgot to format (type yes).

I got it from this:
This is what I used to rollback to android 9 cause another video said I had to do this first before rooting. It worked though then custom ROM happened and now phone's bricked. Hasn't been used ever since.
I'll do MD5 if your fix didn't work.
Hey um, Im a turtle and Im reading the .txt from the link you gave the color os one specifically. So Im at the step where I have to Double Click "Open This to Proceed" file to start the process. What is this "Open This to Proceed" exactly?
Edit: Never mind. I should've looked more before asking..

Now if you want to flash the stock rom you will have to flash firmware first.
flash fw c.xx
wipe 5
flash rom
flash vbmeta disabler
format (type yes)
reboot
You can download the firmware file form here. https://github.com/realme-trinket-organization/firmware_files_RMX1911/releases and the vbmeta disabler from here. https://t.me/r5notes/52

How do I know my exact build number? I just know that it's realme 5i and it is RMX2030, not those C69 thingies.

Upon flashing the firmware zip, my phone keeps getting stuck on bootloop, it doesnt even let me go to recovery mode. It keeps restarting too?
Edit: is this normal??
The tool you gave me to fix fastboot doesnt work anymore :<

I only got to step one which you said to get firmware and flash it. I flashed it and my phone rebooted but it keeps restarting. I can still flash images but I cant seem to fix this "reboot loop" and the tool you gave doesnt fix it either. What Im guessing is C73 isnt my firmware version since this phone is years old? Do you know how to delete the firmware so maybe the tool you gave me would work again and I can start over once more?
Edit: Im once again stuck in fastboot btw.
Edit: I fixed the rebooting loop with the stock recovery.bat from the file you gave me but when I do the "open this to proceed" it goes back to rebooting automatically. I still want to remove the C73 firmware though.
