Considering in buying a Lexar Professional 2000x 64GB microSD card for my HTC U11 - HTC U11 Accessories

Well I've been through a couple more cards on my HTC 10. All went south and unrecognized by my HTC 10. Next month would make two years since I've gotten the phone and the HTC 10 is experiencing battery issues like not holding the charge for more than a few hours on standby and reboot looping at around 50 percent battery level. I am receiving my new HTC U11 today and will put the HTC 10 in retirement. My understanding from reading and posting on the HTC 10 forum thread a while ago is to buy a quality microSD card to avoid any more issues of cards breaking and becoming unreadable. Well I'm considering buying a Lexar Professional 2000x 64GB SDXC UHS-II/U3 microSD card for the new HTC U11. Is it worth it going this route?

HD2 SD cards. (Recommendations).

Hi,
Can anyone recommend an SD card for the HD2 please? Possibly looking at an 8 or 16GB card. I feel its time to upgrade from my piddly little 2GB card that came with the phone.
Thx.
im with ya mate........ BUMP
Not really sure of the question!?
if you're asking which brand... ive always used sandisk, i have two 16gb (class 2) & an 8gb (class 6) card from sandisk, & have no problem with them, Kingston are also a quality brand.
i have had 2 cards die for no reason in about a 4 year period (always keep a spare now!), but this can happen.
if you are asking what size... go for the largest one you can afford.
@ RoN_HD2, i see you are in the uk, try CEX: http://www.cex.co.uk/search/index.php?stext=micro+sd&ispostback=1&mode=buy
you get a 1 year warranty, even on sd cards, if the card stops working within warranty period they will replace it.

Evo 3d memory card

Sorry if this belongs in accessories section but that board seems dead this far. I just had a friend get the thunderbolt. It came with 32gb sd card. I am curious to know the odds of us future evo 3d owners getting the same respect as fast as the sd card goes. What are ur thoughts or knowledge?

It will come with 8gb card standard
Yeah, it wont have a 32gb card. That choice doesn't lie with HTC. That is a decision made by the carrier (sprint). They've proven in the past never to look out for bonus frills like these.
The carrier tells the manufacturer what all they want in the phone, as well as what accessories are to be packaged with it. The price they pay for each unit is derived from those decisions.

8gb included. The reason is simply cost. They can include an 8gb for much cheaper than a 32gb, and thus sell the phone at a lower price allowing them to sell more units. Those who want more space can upgrade as they (and their wallets) see fit

There is always a (slim) chance Sprint might offer a 32GB card on sale through the store or some such at the time of launch. I believe it was Verizon that did that some time back, but it might have been Sprint. A reason I think this a bit of a possibility is with the class 10 32GB cards being offered in at least three different stores around me makes it a possibility.
I would not want a card sold by the phone company. First thing I do is sell the included sd card to someone for cheap then put my own in. Already have 2 patriot 32GB class 10... One in my Evo 4G waiting to transfer to the Evo 3D... Other one is ready for the Samsung Galaxy 10.1

100% agree if it an off-name, less than class ten 32GB. However, if it is a Patriot, Lexar or Sandisk class ten 32 gb and they offered it for under what I might pick it up for at Frye's, Microcenter or CompUSA, then I'd be all over it.
I totally agree... But I see zero chance of a carrier spending the cash to get a class 10 of any size as the included sd card.

32gb micro

i was wondering if i get a 32gb micro sd...does the galaxys2 support it? and where is hte cheapest i can get it from?
According to the specs on GSMArena it says that it does, but that also depends on the brand you get. There are a lot of sellers who has it but some of them are fake 32GB cards where you put it in and it is actually a 16GB or the class is actually lower than advertised, for example a class 10 really is a class 2 or 4. Just make sure to buy it from a reputable place, like Newegg or something.
It will work. I'm using a Sandisk Micro SDHC 32gb Class 4.
Newegg was selling 32GB Micro SDHC's for $35 not too long ago, not sure if the deal is still there.
Like someone said, there are LOTS of fake one's out there. Make sure you get it from reputable reseller, Newegg, Amazon, etc.
Yes, the 32gb will work.
I just placed an order for a 32gb class 10 from amazon that comes with card reader for $61.... with prime shipping it should be here friday morning.
The fact that the SHDC slot is not hot swappable is pretty annoying, so I am going to leave this 32gb card in my phone and hopefully I can use the USB host cable I ordered with a usb-micro sd reader for extra space on the go.
Ordered a 32 gig class 4 earlier off third party Amazon seller for 44 bucks shipped. Will test it when I get it and report back

32GB SanDisk Class4 @ 1saleaday for $29.99 (about 2 week ago) = No problems.
Sandisk class2 at Amazon for 37.99.
Class 2 won't be too great for recording video... HD especially.
I've had my eye on the 32GB class 10 ADATA cards for a while, and since I just got a SGS2 maybe it's finally time to get one.
(Man. First few posts... can't provide links to the card I referenced... can't post in the development forums... I feel so restricted. :| )
everyone getting these ~$40 class 2/4 cards.... why not splurge for another $20 and have more than double the transfer rate?
Turns out the Galaxy S2 series even supports Micro SDXC (aka, 64 GB and up) cards too...
It's just that the stock kernel doesn't support exFat, so you have to re-format the card with FAT32 (at least until kernel devs can get exFat support worked in).
64GB has been confirmed to work, and with 128 GB around the corner, the possibilities for storage are pretty endless... Assuming you have the cash that is.
Coming from wp7 we learned that sandisk class 2 and 4 cards out benchmarked other cards of higher class. Not all cards but a few of them. The wp7 os was so sensitive to SD cards.

I'm curious about the Class 4 vs Class 10 war update.
When I had my Infuse, it was really determined that the Infuse 4G hardware really didn't take advantage of Class 10, so weather you buy 2 or 10 the speeds seen were the same on that device. Wondering if anyone has any experience with this handset, and can tell me with certainty if there's a difference on THIS device. I'm happy to upgrade, but want to know things like "Scanning Media" will significantly go faster to make the upgrade worth it.
Thoughts\Opinions\Dirty looks appreciated.
I would guess you wont see real world differences with class 2 vs class 6/10..other than video recording/playback. but when transferring files there is no way a class 2 can compete with higher rated cards.
and I wish I knew about the SDXC cards working... might have to order one and send the 32 back.

When you say file transfer, my understanding is the transport hardware samsung is using slows down the transfer. Do you know this to be true\untrue? I just don't want to buy class 10 and not feel a wooosh of faster speed. Think I'm better off staying put w\ 4?
I can't definitively say that the phone slows transfers since I haven't seen a reliable source report that.... I have yet to try the class 10 card myself since it hasn't arrived. I only know what has happened with the cards I do have.
From what I read in regards to card class and phone use, the majority consensus seems to be that in order to get "true 720" video you need to have a card rated higher than class 2.. considering this phone does 1080 recording I didn't want to be cheap.. for an extra $20 I got a card from a reliable manufacturer and source that was the highest class and capacity available, it wasn't a hard choice for me.
I transfered a couple 3.5gb .mkvs over to the class 4 card I currently have in the phone and it kept timing out or the transfer times would jump up to 30+ minutes and then fail nearly every time. This card works flawlessly in other applications so it might very well be the phone slowing down these transfers. I tried with a variety of other class 2 and 4 cards with similar results. Plugging any of the tested cards into the card reader in my pc transfers the files without a hitch.

Good observations. I'm kinda in the same boat as you. That was my experience. I ran the SD Card test on the Class 10 I had and the Infuse said it was just SLIGHTLY faster than the Class 4, so i kept the 4. At the time it was about $30 vs $65, so wasn't worth it for mediocre performance. Now I'm starting to think maybe it's worth it. I just don't like that when the card gets full of photos and songs, it takes forever to Scan Files every reboot or USB plug in\out
Lifehacker did a write-up awhile back.

I've also read that it is a TERRIBLE idea to use the phone as USB storage as the speeds are horrendous. I can vouch for this as my Transcend 32GB performs faster in the usb adapter than through the phone. Why? I have no idea

Lexar 32GB MicroSD

Thinking of getting one of these.
http://www.buy.com/prod/lexar-media...high-capacity-microsdhc-1-card/217278686.html
Anyone have one or ever used Lexar?
I have not used a Lexar SD card but still have a Lexar 1gb flash drive that I've had for many years and it's still kicking.
Do it, Lexar is a good company.
ordered one of these off amazon. reviews seem accurate
I have been using one of these in my Evo4G for the past 6 mos, and it has been flawless. Can't wait to use it in my new Rezound that should be here this week!
been tryin to get possible results. formatted with win at 64k allocation unit size but idk if 32k will be better or if I should just let the phone format it?

Samsung Galaxy Siii KILLS SD CARDS!!!!!!

Okay,
So I had a PNY class 10 for less than a year in my evo 4g, worked flawlessly. Bought a Sprint Siii, formatted my PNY and used it fine for a few months then all of a sudden one day my phone said I had a blank or unsupported SD card and that I had to format it. Of course I lost all my pictures and such. I tried all the programs to recover, tried adapters on the computer, I followed all the suggestions. Then gave up and tried to format it, that didn't even work, seeing that I could not format it... Hey I just thought according to all the smart people (sarcasm) online it must be dead, even though I never had an SD card die on me in any of my other 50 devices that used various SD cards.
So I just felt horrible for buying a budget SD card PNY, I didn't think was that bad, but now knew it was trash since it just died on me less than a year, and back when the EVO was out class 10 16 gig was expensive that was almost 4 years ago.
This time I thought I was not going to skimp on the card, I went straight for SanDisk Ultra 32 GB MicroSDHC Class 10 UHS-1 from Amazon even made sure according to those wonderful lemmings online on posts about this, it was an official SanDisk SD card that I had to cut open.
So Got my new card everything was peachy keen for about a month, and please get the wonderful irony in this, last Friday I bought my mom an Siii from Sprint because they were having a sale for them for $50. I thought to myself I had to upgrade her crappy SD card and I ordered her the same card...It comes I install it in her new Siii and less than an hour later the SD card in my phone says either SD card removed. Insert a new one. or SD card is blank or has unsupported files. So it appears my Siii struck again... I immediately took the SD card out of my mom's phone and told her its better to use the internal storage. Of course all my pictures and things are gone. Over 400 pictures! back up back up you say... okay I have after my last lesson most of them are on my dropbox but still not all of them. YET THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN TWICE IN A ROW. I refuse to just believe that "SD cards just die" I call BS maybe once in a while but not like this.
I think there is a problem with this phone and Samsung will never admit it since they sold over 30 million phones and are the envy of Apple, but I was hoping that someone on here could prove it, figure out how to fix the SD cards to recover the information or prevent this, and or take some kind of poll to see how common this is with the Siii I have a feeling this is a known issue to someone/I will not be buying another sd card to use with a phone again. This experience is abhorrent.
