Chinese version of the RAZR getting a 4.5 inch 720p display and 13mp camera?

I wouldn't mind having a slightly fatter RAZR if I can get a 4.5 inch 720p screen and a 13mp camera!

Too bad this isn't a troll. I could care less about the 13MP camera, higher MP doesn't mean better quality pictures. The 720p isn't too much of a big deal, but it would be nice, although it's LCD vs Amoled. The dolby sound would be sweet, wonder if there are 2 speakers for true stereo, or is it still mono. Although the chinese variaints don't have 4G only 2G (puke). This phone was the DROID HD at first I believe, but now to come back sa qHD. I'm wondering how much had to be sacraficed for the DROID RAZR.
Our hardware is still premium. The 720P screen will need more horsepower, and most people probably can't actually see the difference.

Absolutely true. Had the opportunity to check out the htc Rezound today at a Verizon store, side by side with my razr. It has the first true 720p HD sLCD display & it was underwhelming. Both were set to auto brightness & the razr looked brighter/more vibrant. The slcd, while somewhat crisper, was noticeably washed out with color reproduction. The pentile pixelation that's been mentioned here was not really apparent on most things, even text, at least to me. And don't even mention benchmarks! The razr blew it away.

[Q] Razr Speakerphone comparison question.

How would you guys rate the Razr's loud speaker? I got the original Droid by Motorola like 2 years ago. I'm still inlove with that phone's build quality and how loud the loud speaker is. I've had a few phones since then including an Iphone 4g and an HTC Sensation but none compares to the sound quality and loudness of the original Droid's speaker. I'm set on getting the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx coming out in a few days with Verizon but im worried about that. Im using my loudspeaker alot.
How do you guys compare your Razr's speaker with the OG Droid? (if any of you had the OG Droid) How do you compare it to any other phone's loudspeaker that youve owned?
The sound quality of original droid was superb with high volume. That doesn't change with the Droid Razr.
Not that great, was spoiled by defy and razr has no deep tones. Atrix was better.

i keep thinking my razr is my old defy.... max volume with the ring ring tone as an alarm sounds very similar to a fire alarm.... wakes me right up lol

Few things you don't notice about the razr on display.

1. The screen is more vibrant, sharp and color full than the one on display at Verizon. The razr screen to me at least is better than the galaxy nexus.
2. Ice cream sandwich player. The one in store had stock gingerbread music player.
3. How easily you can use it with one hand and the Maxx is really comfy to hold.

camera low quality

how to improve my camera quality ....am using moto e rooted with pranoid os 5.1.1
No can do. The camera quality mainly depends upon the lens used for the camera and the lens used in moto e is extremely crappy. The only way out is you can take pics and edit them later. But that also wouldn't five thou the same result

G5 vs Moto Z

I'm currently using the LG G3 and I was thinking of upgrading, especially because SD801 devices apparently don't support Nougat. My best candidates currently are the G5 and the Moto Z. Which one is better? I could get the G5 right now for €389, The Moto Z release and price in Europe is unclear for now.
As always it depends...
Just think to two main things:
1) The Moto Z has no 3.5mm Jack
2) The G5 has a bigger battery (2600 vs 2800mAh) which is also removable
After this you have to consider the camera part, the G5's one is one of the best (if not the best) camera of this year, and the display part, the G5 mount a LCD IPS 5.3" and the Moto Z an Amoled 5.5".
In my opinion the G5 wins, so i would advice it over the Moto Z
Another count is the Z Force, but Lenovo said that it will be sold only in US.
I don't really mind the missing headphone jack since an adapter is included.
The removable battery is a big plus, but the power pack on the Moto Z is neat too.
For camera and display, I could go either way.
For the price, the LG is superior, but I guess I'll wait for IFA.
Well, you can't know how good is the adapter, and the battery pack will cost around 90 euros.
Then wait for ifa and decide =)
Moto Z and Z Force seems to be pricey then price will go down after sometime. So it is a No for Moto Z unless they will drop the price:

And now, it is Lenovo and not the Moto we used to have before..
LG G5 seems to be fine on its current price tag and no issues like old g4. So it must be fine.
Well, after seeing the official unlocked price, I'm dismissing the Moto Z from my wishlist.
Now, it's the G5 vs the Axon 7 and maybe one of the new Google phones.
Every phone has a compromise. :/
