P20 lite and bluetooth connection unreliable - Huawei P20 Lite Questions & Answers

Hi all,
Did you notice unstable bluetooth connection ?
I currently use a P20 lite, appaired with a smart watch (Amazfit Pace). While I never had any problem before with a Mate 9, I notice after a few hours that the watch doesn't get any notification. I reseted the watch, uninstalled the Amazfit app several times, but the problem is still there. The app says the watch is connected, but can't transmit anything (the battery level for exemple isn't available). The only way to get notifications working again is to shut / restart the watch.... But the problem reappears after a while.
I wonder where the issue comes from and I'd like to know if other have problems with bluetooth devices on their P20 lite....
thanks in advance !

Same issue
I'm having the same issue with my Tickwatch, didn't found any solution yet

same here, first clean connect are okey, next is pain to ass..
only workaround i find are reset network setings.
Settings >> System >> Reset >> Network settings reset
or, downgrade system to first version, with first , in my case B126, i never got thease problems, only with next versions bluetooth are bugy /****y (my phone are ANE-L21C432B126 (dual sim aka ANE-LX1) right now, but i crosflashed ANE-L01C432B126 (single sim, also ANE-LX1) (crosflashing single sim with dual sim firmware stop updates, its vice versa for dual sim flashing single sim firmware and got wrong build number, what are reason why cant find update), so my build number are different and there are not system updates anymore, and bluetooth are working great, but thats not other reason why im using B126 version, i got aplication, what worked wrong with new updates, but all are ok with B126, i test all version up to B146, and in every of them are thease bluetooth and wrong working app)

Found a solution, been connected to my watch for 3 days in a row.
Erase Bluetooth data and cache.
Go into Settings > Apps > Show System Apps > Search for Bluetooth > Erase all data and Erase Cache > Reset Watch and pair it again with the phone > Done

[Q] Frozen Downloads in statusbar

I am so angry now i could smash my X10 mini pro to the groung!! I tried to download 1 app, and it stopped downloading (still in statusbar with the wodnloading icon). Whenever i tried to tap it and get to stop install, it opened another one. I did this untill it got to 31!!! now i have 31 downloads there, that will never going to download.
I cleared cache, uninstalled updates and still there when i reboot phone. What the hell should i do? I am going crazy.
And there is no Clear Data for the market on the x10 mini pro... Is there any way i can get rid of those downloads stuck in the statusbar? M phone is rooted, stock 2.1 SE rom and a lot of apps + link to SD, so i wouldnt want to reinstall the ROM...
EDIT: can you guys post me the original vending.apk and marketupdate.apk for x10 mini /mini pro?
I'm having the same problem with a x10 mini (not pro) I asked google but they only gave me general information like cleaning cache or do a factory reset. I'm at my god-knows-what-number complete reflash of the phone.
I think the problem is rooting this time i'm gonna give it a try without rooting and if it works try to find another method of rooting. So far I was using flashtool.
I'll post what i find out, right now i'm going with the generic e10a 2.1 update from argentina since the telcel rom doesn't have google talk (thus making the "sign out and in from google talk suggestion completely useless, not that it actually worked).
Also try to download an image (any image) from the browser, even that should get stuck.
I was wrong, again. The root has nothing to do with it. With android software 1.6 everything works, but once I update to 2.1 *bam** the problem returns.
All this happened from day to night!
It's not the router i'm using, two computers, an iphone and a rooted nook don't have any problems!
Ok I tried with another google account and I managed to download one app (the ebay app) then nothing else :/
Sorry I cannot be of much help, maybe someone else has some other ideas? I already tried these from the android market support:
- Cancel the download and retry
- Ensure there is enough space on your device for the app to install
- Reboot your device
- Clear your Market cache (Settings > Applications > Market > Clear cache)
- Confirm there is strong connectivity on your device, and contact your
mobile service provider if you aren't connected
- Uninstall Market updates (Settings > Applications > Manage Applications;
select "Market" under the "All" tab/filter, and touch "Uninstall updates")
- Unmount and remount the SD card (visit Menu > Settings > Storage >
Unmount SD card; then Remount SD card from the same menu, or restart the
device if the remount option isn't available)
- Factory data reset
- Cache and Dalvik Cache format
- Restoring the phone to 1.6 then update to 2.1 (carriers branding tried: Rogers, Telcel, which is the original one that came with the phone and now an unbranded one from Argentina

Disable Wifi before boot? - HW problem

HI,
As it seems my sgs2 have some hardware problems with wifi -> when I try to activate/deactiva it, the state freezes, but phone stil works normal (without wifi offcourse). Now the wifi status is enabled and every time I tried to deactive it, process "android system" freezes. Also when I turn off/reset phone the wifi is still enabled (remember the settings from before somehow) or in the midle state (turing off).
So my question is: where I can set wifi to stay off when you turn phone on (.conf file maybe) So when the phone is turned on, wifi won't be activated.
I don't want to do factory reset yet.
Tnx
I backup with clockworkmod, then do the system reset and restore back only the data and still the same
If I only do the system reset then wifi in disabled. THIS IS OK, but I have to install all apps and do much settings.
So I really appriciate it if someone know hot to disable wifi on boot?
I also try to add some lines in file /system/build.prop to disable wifi, but without success
Looks like you need to do a full reset and a clean flash...
look into chainfires thread in i9100 original Android Dev section, find the firmware for your phone and flash away
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
Tried to flash it with this offical firmware I9100XWLPT (4.0.4):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1544487
But the wifi stil can't be activated! I install program alogcat and that error appear a lot of times: "supplicant not running, cannot connect"
So I'm back to my old stable version 2.3.5.
I only need to figute out how to disable wifi, so the phone will work normal

it's obvious to be a SW problem
just make a full wipe ( wipe cache,data/factory reset, dalvik cache ) and try to install a new rom like sensation .. i've tried it and it's really stable and everything should be working well with u
if this fails .. so take it to service center
or you could use titanium backup, first nav. to apk folder and copy paste wifi apk's, two i think, into a new folder then delete the apps using tb then wipe dalvik cache reboot let it redo app optimisation this will put apps allready installed on then reinstall wifi apk's. failing this as evryone says below.
Still don't know my main question:
Where I can set wifi to stay off when you turn phone on (.conf file maybe) So when the phone is turned on, wifi won't be activated.

This looks like kernel issue.
Try to change your kernel to a custom one.
Personally, I'll recommend Siyah or Speedmod
Swyped from my Samsung Galaxy SII
Tried different kernels, but I got HW issue!
Found something useful, but this is can be done after boot:
Use Android Terminal Emulator and enter:
svc wifi disable
Finally!! I find the solution:
I have to edit this file: (I use app aSQLiteManager and aShell to edit .db file)
/data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db
Inside database file is a table called secure and the field wifi_on has to be changed from 1 to 0.
After reboot wifi was disabled.
You could do that if you phone has hardware issues with WIFI module. Otherwise Andoid OS is very unstable.
Hi, i have a question. If my database file called secure doesn´t have wifi_on field? .... just i have to add the field or what? thanks

[Q] Language keeps resetting after boot

Hi,
I discovered a strange (or maybe not so strange) behavior on my S3 (I-9300) today:
As I restart my phone and wait for it to boot before I enter my PIN to unlock my SIM card, the language gets changed to German (Switzerland).
Now I am not sure where that comes from. Fact is, I bought this phone in Switzerland, and I have a Swiss phone provider (Lebara) that uses a Swiss network operator (Sunrise). My phone number is therefore also Swiss. However, I live in the French speaking region of Switzerland (I actually live in France about 200 yards away from the border), but not in the German speaking part.
Here is the funny part and also the reason why I only found out today (and this makes it hard for me to troubleshoot it): If I enter my PIN as soon as I practically can (i.e. I do not give my phone the time to fully boot, which is what I always did until today) the language setting is conserved (i.e. it sticks to English, which is my system preference).
Also, if I do not enter my PIN at all and I stay on the lock screen, the language also stays English. Once I enter it though, it switches to German like 2 seconds later.
Could it be possible that my language setting is somehow tied to:
my provider / phone number / network operator?
my location (I have location completely disabled btw) ?
my IMEI or some other device related information?
Has anybody experienced something similar?
I am using Android Revolution HD 29.0 btw...
Any comment is highly appreciated.Thanks!
Only initial language is dependant on your CSC and sim card, once changed it will stay. Reflash your rom or go back to stock to test.

Ok, here is what happened:
I observed this behavior after updating some of my apps via Google Play yesterday. So I suspect one of these updates triggered this odd behavior.
To further troubleshoot this, I turned on Flight Mode yesterday after booting my phone (and having changed the language back to English). As I turned off Flight Mode again, without rebooting the phone, the language switched back to German again.
This made me assume that it must somehow be related to GSM/my network operator. I do not select my network operator automatically, but I choose it manually (since I live close to the border and want to avoid roaming fees). So I went back into settings and selected my network operator manually again.
This resolved the issue. Language setting no longer gets reset after reboot.
Hope this helps someone who one day might face the same issue.
Thanks

The only app we have in common is SuperSU. Try setting your network operator again (Settings > More Settings > Mobile Networks > Network Operators)
Let me know if it does not work.
Thanks

I'm running a custom rom on a samsung Galaxy tab plus and have been having exactly the same issue, originally it seemed triggered for me by turning of my bluetooth connection. I ended up reinstalling the rom and having thing work right step by step until google play did its updates which caused my language to reset to Russian.. After finding this thread and realizing we all have the same app in common " Super user"
This raised my attention where I went into the superuser app, I un installed Superuser and re installed a different superuser from Google play, this seems to have solved the issue, and my language is now not reset on reboot, hope this helps someone.
I tried to uninstall supersu and probl is fixd, but I need root and installed again supersu and problem no exists, pls help to solve.
Same thing is happening to me on my rooted touchwiz phone, it also has SuperSU installed and was recently updated.
It's running 4.1.2 and every other reboot it sets to english (UK) all by itself (that's it's default region)
So many system restores/wipes/restores over the last two days and thought it was just I that was getting it at first
So it happened again the other day. It is a SuperSU issues which has been addressed with the latest release.
Hi,
I had the same problem with Galaxy S III purchased from UK, flashed Czech version of stock rom (rooted) and czech SIM card. The language reverted from English to Czech after every restart. (Google Play store also asks me for another confirmation of the terms and Google voice typing is turned on after restart, although it may not be related to the problem.)
Updating SuperSU from Play store didn't help. Manually choosing my operator solved it (Settings > More Settings > Mobile Networks > Network Operators).
Still no solution!
Hi all,
OK, I notice that this thread is pretty old but still without a solution. Sadly I am not offering one, only concurring that my phone, not rooted, has the same problem. It is an Austrian sim card (3 network, German language as standard) and reverts to German with every on-off, restart or flight mode. Hopefully by now someone has solved this niggle as it appears to have been around for quite some time.
After trying factory reset and setting all apps, the phone settings and Apex to English without success, my assumption is that the sim card is to blame as I had an Austrian 3 sim in my last phone and had no problems at all.
BTW I have a new sim now (same provider and phone number) to unlock the NFC capabilities of the new phone.
Feedback would be greatly appreciated, a solution even more so!
Thanks

[Q] bootloader unlock password- Huawei G630-U00

hello,
I couldn't find any other forum to discuss about this version of Huawei mobile phone. I really need help since the last legitimate EMU update ruined the whole system and now my new mobile phone that I have never had a chance to use it is like a trash device... I hope someone here can help me to recover it since i tried all ways I found on internet.
I bought this mobile from China and bring it to Europe. Since I wanted to remove some chinese default software (that wasn't basic software but really annoying), I used an app and rooted the mobile phone. so I removed some of chinese stuff and installed some of good software. Everything worked fine and I tested skype and I had high resolution picture with 8 Mega pixel camera. I tested all its functionality and it was really good...
I noticed that there is a new legitimate update for this OS, since I still didn't have any sd memory, I couldn't have a backup of this old system and this was a big mistake...
anyway... I let it do the legitimate update for EMU... but immediately after reboot, I noticed that Camera and bluetooth are out of functions... so I first thought the problem is with bluetooth configuration but I was wrong since the internal memory was read only and no longer available.
I formatted the internal memory via computer (the part which was available) but no luck... I bought a sd card and changed the storage from internal to external but this didn't help to function bluetooth and camera...
I had a back up from /system/apps and then removed manually the bluetooth.apk and also its odex file. then restarted the system, clear dev cache and tried to install bluetooth.apk again. but I received error message and couldnt' do that. so again I copied those file back to its location.
So bluetooth turns on now, can send signal but for receiving or sending file, it fails, It can also pairs with other device.. So I thought it should be something related to permissions. I again checked the bluetooth permissioin on /etc/permissions/platform.xml and notice they are ok.
I changed the permission of storage and added the external storage to the list and added group storage_rw.
but this also didn't solve the problem with camera and bluetooth.
several times reset to factory mode didn't solve the problem...
I tried to hack the bootloader but I could not unlock it... I sent all information to [email protected] and asked them to send me bootloader password and provide them with all detail information about the device and accepted that the device is out of warrant but I received no response...
I installed "safe system remover apps" and after having backup of Gallery2.apk, I uninstalled it (it is related to camera and all gallery information)... but with no luck I could install it again...
So, I am really hopeless now since I don't know whatelse I can to do... the system doesn't functioning and I need to load on it the custom ROM but the device only can go to fastboot and cannot load the recovery mode anymore and factory reset from the UI is only reset the mobile to fastboot without doing anything else.
I tried to run the factorymode.sh from the device but I receive error messages to access some files such as bluetooth parameters/power
I couldn't myself find this file on the directory that it looks for.
I would really appreciate it if you can tell me any way that I can unlock the bootloader from the device (because outside of the device I tried different applications but with no luck...)
I have a cutom ROM for G630-U20 (not exact version for this device but almost similar) and if I can have a bootloader password I can try this one or any other customized ROM.
I would appreciate any way that you can show me to solve the problem.... either by changing permissions to solve this problem.
Thank you.

Cannot connect to my home wifi (only) after accidentally blacklisting it

So, the weirdest thing happened to me... I installed an app named WiFi Connection Manager from roamingsoft to play around, and I asked this app to blacklist my home wifi.
I then asked to un-blacklist it, but that failed, and ever since I cannot connect to my home wifi anymore: when I insert password it lists my wifi as "saved" but it won't connect.
Things I tried that did not work:
change wifi name
change wifi password
change wifi channel
reset bits and piece all the way down to factory reset the phone, install a different rom* and go back to original rom
* more on that below
Things I tried that did work:
change rom to lineage OS
change rom from android 9 to 8 (both original android one rom from the phone brand) (but going back to the original rom version 9 fails again, even tho I flashed form a newly downloaded file with nothing to do with the version I did somehow corrupt, and before I even logged in to android, so the phone did not even know it was the same user)
change the security of my wireless from wpa2 to something else (wpa/wpa2 for example)
oddly enough if I change wifi settings to have the same wifi name shared between my 2.4ghz and my 5ghz wifi, my phone will connect to the wifi, and it will connect using the 5ghz (the problematic one).
---
i also have the feeling a corruption to my nfc happened at the same time, but I don't know for sure, in case someone knows of a connection between the two problems let me know, but the nfc never worked on other roms.
When I flash a new image I flash a number of partitions including one named bluetooth, so I can't imagine which partition I am leaving untouched that has the blacklist in it...
Does anyone have an idea how an app -even if it had root privileges- could cause such low level damage, and more importantly how I could fix it?
