Awesome!
I loved the Nougat version of Omni. So I will definitely install this today and start testing.
Edit: Which version of Gapps do you recommend?
Thanks!

There wasn't a camera app for me pre-installed.
I use bean gapps for 8.1 (April edition)

Not working on X722, does not boot !
Forgive me if mistaken but I was under the impression that all 8.1.0 roms worked on all variants of pro3 ?!

I Tried in my X722 but , not boot.

You know, the official omnirom had good battery life and great performance mostly because of its original kernel.
I'm not trying to shame blackscreen - with some adjustments you can probably have the best screen time out of all other kernels on our device. But BS is awful for gaming. It makes heavy games laggy and the stuttering occures all the time, no matter what cpu governor and frenquences you set.
My point is - I don't think this rom will be as good as official omnirom, mostly because of kernel. That said, I (personally) see no reason to flash this rom.

Give it a chance! I don't got problems on playing Arena of Valor with BC.
Also, this developer here isnt @darkobas
Maybe, he will get some help/suggestions by some developers to develope his own kernel for omnirom!

Blackscreen has a history of being excellent and frankly the Nougat version of Omni worked best with Blackscreen custom made for Omni 7.1 . Darkobas the developer of the Nougat version experienced battery failure with the 7.1 native kernel.
However I understand your point, also experienced excessive amounts of battery usage with Black Screen 5.1 + . You could flash Blackscreen 4.9 with this Rom and it will work fine.

If you plan to use any of the google camera builds avoid bean gapps which caused issues for many folks. I resolved it with open gapps.

I would say technically Yes, But you will first have to wipe the System, Cache, Dalvik. Then flash the Rom and Gapps again. You may be better off starting clean.
On the other hand, If you flash a smaller Gapps it may uninstall the apps not included in the smaller version.
I am not sure, I haven't tried it.

What are your experiences as not having good battery life with 5.1 and which rom? I am using it with Validus and has a great batttery life, to be honest. I do some extra tweaks via kernel auditor by the way.

Yes, just tested it.
But something I noticed, is that on lineage there's no play services crash at the first boot like on xpe. Which is good.
Is there any way I can skip the setup wizard? I have tried multiple times, but the I constantly get the error "google play services has stopped".
Edit: I could skip it, sorry for the noob question.
What are the bugs on it?
Are they the same as those on xperience rom i.e. Camera and microphone issues??
Amazing week for all of us Moto x users. First 7.1.1 boots and now we have two roms working. Great effort by you guys!!! Cheers!

I just installed the 12/02 pico open gapps from today, and it worked fine. If not for you, you could try to reboot sometimes, it usually fix this. If it persists, then flash the rom without the gapps, start the rom and finish the setup, now go back for recovery and flash only the gapps, now start again and enter the play store, it'll ask you to add a Google account, then you're done.

Edit
Heyyo, just a heads up for anyone in this thread who uses MultiROM currently I've been experiencing issues with bootloops with Oreo as a secondary ROM and it seems to be affecting even my Nougat ROMs with sdcardfs disabled as well.
Be sure anything important is backed up before you try just in case you get the same grief.
More info about my unlucky experience is in a recent post in the MultiROM thread.
This ROM also didn't have an on screen keyboard when I tested it without OpenGapps so you'll definitely want any version of OpenGapps.

Heyyo, oh weird! I thought that was because I was missing OpenGapps all together heh. Yeah I guess the ROM should come with an AOSP on screen keyboard
OpenGapps Sock does come with Gboard so that would be a workaround for meow until Omni 8 has AOSP keyboard
A real race of developpers... we got three different roms of Oreo with almost the same bugs.. what about to work together to build one ?

Heyyo, err if you check the source codes on GitHub they are essentially doing that but they're also working on different ROM bases.
Same could be said about all custom ROM development that happened on Marshmallow back in the day and same with Nougat.
Heck, BS kernel being a prime example of working with a developer who works on the LeEco Le Pro 3 and we have developers here who port it and keep updated ports for the Le Max 2.
Hey. It's great to hear that the camera finally works.. How's the battery life of this rom? Is there any difference than Nougat?

Heyyo, it's growing pains bro. The earliest release of Omni 8 so issues were bound to arise.
The way to get past this bug is to install OpenGapps Stock or higher as they would come with GBoard.
It seems to be a ROM bug that it doesn't come with any AOSP keyboard. So my guess is andr68rus would either have to manually add in an AOSP keyboard or wait for Omni 8 to add it in.

You are answer yourself on your question: we are work together to make our device work with oreo, so we have same bugs. We are just support different ROMs.
About fingerprint, it work in my last local build, that was rom-specific bug.
Also, i want to remind everyone that this rom is EXPEREMENTAL and only for TESTING now, it cant be daily driver and have a lot of bugs.
So Omni has same rotation bug as AICP?

If you have a major bug to report that has not been reported already, please take the following steps to report it to us. It will save you, Team Resurrection Remix and me quite some time.
Download the MatLog app from the Play Store.
After downloading the MatLog app, go to the app settings, and change the log level to Debug.
Clear all previous logs and take the exact steps to produce the error you are receiving. As soon as you receive the error (probably a force close), go straight into MatLog and stop the log recording.
Copy and paste the entire log either to Hastebin or Pastebin
Save the log, and copy and paste the link into the thread with a brief description of the error.

Thx for that, but I'm a little bit confused;
Did you developed that version of pie or villarleg?
Because villarleg's version got already promoted by @Lethalben (https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-pro3/development/resurection-remix-7-0-0-t3893465)
Thanks
Edit:
Sorry, just saw your post in the thread above, you're the new maintainer! Nice job
A special thank you to VillarLeg will be welcome!
His the first maintener, and without him, there is nothing and without you to @AgustinLorenzo!
Thanks to all for keeping this Rom alive. Resurrection Remix is living up to its name once again.
Looking forward to seeing the next build.

First shutdown and the phone goes in EDL mode.
After the reboot, look to the battery! I loose more than 25%!?!
Incredible!
If anybody have an explication, you're welcome!
@AgustinLorenzo
I see that the Live Display is already implemented. Is there a plan to also include Color Profile?
Currently, Lineage is the only Pie rom with that feature and it would be nice to have an another rom that offer correct color display.

Did you a normal shutdown? Otherwise it could be because its cold outside. My phone and its battery reacts "allergy" to temperatures below 6-7° celsius. I experienced also a reboot after that in EDL, with an instant battery drain about 20-40%.

I'm also aren't on AOSIP, I use AICP.
Batteries, especially lithium-ionen, got big problems with temperature. It is a normal thing to expect such bugs when you're on a custom rom and don't use the stock rom.
Stock rom's got regulations to avoid this anormal shutdowns and are also specially designed to not be harmed.
Cdla doesn't works for me.
Will this rom work on ZL0 X722?
Will IR blast follow?

That issue seems specific to the current Pie Roms ( It can be avoided by putting the phone in Airplane mode when charging) and under clocking cores ( Lately Pie Roms have been under-clocked by default)
On a completely different note :
Check out these awesome Splash Screen for every Rom ever made for the Le Pro 3 including AICP : https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-pro3/themes/access-to-4dpa-site-files-available-xda-t3832894

Nothing special, this one is updated one with stability improvements. the official one is V6.5 and this one is V6.6.
and probably this one is gonna be the official one soon, I already applied for official, and the previous dev is gonna drop this rom soon, he is a super busy guy.

Nice, keep it alive bro
I am using the previous ROM (marked as official). Will you be doing monthly updates with security patches? I also have a rather big issue with the official ROM. Aafter rooting the ROM with Magisk, my Nexus 5 reboots itself from time to time, sometimes when getting a call. I am mainly interested in having an actively supported ROM and I like AEX, it gives me everything I need without installing Magisk modules (I am just using Magisk to root it).

You can check this out as well. don't worry about updates & security patches, I'm giving my best for this device. time to time I will update this rom ( monthly basis ). and I have no clue about your rooting issue because I don't have the logs. so I can't say anything about it. the truth is N5 is now older enough ( still a legend )& believe me it's really hard to make it future proof with updates.
my recommendations are: flash the modified twrp twrp-3.3.1-HH-hammerhead & use the pico or nano version of Gapps for better performance.
If you face any kind of issues with this rom as like previous rom then don't forget to share your problem with me. I'm here to help.

Buddy, I totally understood your situation, but I can't add or remove stuff from this rom because of guidelines, but i can highly suggest you use the modified twrp for better experience. it increases your system 1GB to 1.5GB. or better to wait for my pixel experience rom its more stable and smoother. ( currently under maintenance).
