mate 10 pro notification led invisible - Huawei Mate 10 Questions & Answers

hello, the led is very little and the light is almost invisible. is there a way, even with third part apps to do a notification light more efficient or a notification in always on screen (third parts app like whatsapp)??

There is no option to show third party apps in aod.
I tried some apps for led, even bought one. But it does not work. It works either not or only sometimes without a pattern. ..
I think it is ok though, I see the led when the phone is on the table and it's the same color for everything (orange) although the app made all colors possible. It is RGB led after all. I think the apps don't work because emui kills apps in the background like crazy.

[Q] Reset LED Light Notifications

Is there a way to reset the LED Light Notifications, because I stop using Lightflow (with all its issues regarding Accessibility Enabled)?
OR
An alternative app to control the lights?
Try Blink, it seems to be okay, there's alot of colour options. I've not tried Lightflow though so I'm not sure if there'll be any features that are different. Doesn't appear to be a battery drainer either

[Q] Color of notification led?

Hi there,
Has any of you have any luck changing the color (and/or blinking behavior) of the notification led (e.g. when an sms is received)?
On my CM7'ed Desire I had full control - e.g. from Go SMS - but with this Desire X I'm stuck with the default green blinking.
I just rooted and flashed Elegancia on today, hoping that would put me (or the apps, actually) in control, but no...
BR,
Egholm
I believe there are apps that will let you change your LED on your phone.
Sent from my GSM Galaxy Nexus
Only two colors on Desire X if I remember correctly.
Why would you want to change the colour. Maybe i am missing something .:cyclops:Green seems ok and orange when charging is also ok.
hi
Missed call or SMS -LED flashes only 5min.This is the problem.
ORA1: It's annoying that when I leave the phone at home, and a notification-event occurs that I don't hear, I cannot see from the LED which event happened (remember I didn't hear, I just glance at the phone every and so often when I pass it). Then it's super nice to be able to see if it is a missed call, an SMS, an email, and so and so forth.
Also, the standard blinking behavior - blinking briefly every 1-1.5 seconds - is silly. It requires starring at the phone for a second to judge if an event is there. A constant LED is much nicer.
That's why
Klapo, yeah, but mixing the red with the green, you get an orange So, three colors, and if I could control the blinking, that's infinite combinations ;P
Obj261, after trying different apps, I stumbled over "Light Flow 3.5.2 (lite)". Its the only one that I've seen being able to control the LED succesfully. But obviously I'm too stupid to make it work (consistently) beyond the "testing capabilities" from within the app
I hoped that others have had this need, as well :/
I would just want to know if it's RGB or just green/orange.
I would love to control it via LightFlow but the hardware must support it first.
katman4, it's only green, orange and red.
(But still I haven't found the magic setting in lightflow that makes it work consistently, so be aware of that)
Now someone can design an app that when you have a notification of any sort the whole screen flashes in a colour.
Cant be too difficult for one of the boffins to design:good::good::good::good::victory::victory:

[Q] Asus Zenfone 5 - Notification LED

I took the leap of faith and recently purchased the Asus Zenfone 5 ...
Now that I took the plunge I saw the first problem so far in this phone ..
This one has a LED notification light which lights up while charging. But apart from that it does not light up for any other notification.
I really like the feature of notification light but need to get it working. I read couple of forums and understood that this was originally working fine until ASUS did a firmware update and all was lost.
Is there a way that any Genius from here can help me out and get this working so I can configure it for my mails and calendar events.
Thanks in advance.

Hi, Zenfone 5 only support 3 LED Notification Light Color (Red, Green, Orange) Those 3 LED color are prioritize for phone charging. Other app also working with the LED notification depend what color the app used for the LED notification. For example, WeChat default LED notification is green. When there a message during phone sleep, it shows green LED notification. If the other app use besides of 3 LED notification, the LED notification will not work.
Hope you understand that.

Thank you for the information. But as of now I do not see any notification apart from Charging.
No notification LED When I have SMS or missed call or any other system functions.. How do I fix that ?
If the system is not working by default can I install any 3rd party app to get this working.
I am OK with only 3 colors as long as they work on the respective app or inbuilt system functionality ..

Try use an app, Notification Light Widget or other LED Notification app from Google Play Store for a test.
By the way, what firmware you using right now?
hi. i have the same problem. i tryed notification app from google play, but is not working, when charging. now i use 4.3, maybe after update to 4.4 will work right.
I have Zenfone 6. Same problem here. Notification led working only when I put the charge and led color is orange(I think ) and when the battery percentage left %15 led color turning red. But no notification led when I have SMS or missed call or any other... I'm using last 4.3.

Notification LED

Hey guys, I finally got my LED light to start working after disabling the DOWNLOADED APP selection. So now the LED for my text messages blinks every few seconds which is really slow. I took your guys advice and download Light Flow but i can't get it to work and same with light manager. I tried disabling the notification led option under display and then turned it on with all the options unchecked and still light flow or light manager wont blink the color of my sms texts. Seems like both application (only one was installed at a time) doesnt seem to work or is there something im doing wrong? i even rebooted my device
I'm using lightflow and under notification light settings, I have everything checked, including downloaded apps. So I think that part has to be checked.
I''m also having issues with the G3 notification LED in general, as well as Light Manager. Without light manager installed, I sometimes get the LED notification for twitter and sometimes I don't. When I do, it blinks at a 3 second interval. I do get the LED for Gmail, but it blinks in about 10 second intervals. Other downloaded apps, I don't get LED at all. So there's that issue. Wondering if I should take back the device altogether....
With Light Manger installed, things get a little better, but just wondering what I need to have the phone's LED/Notificaiton settings set at with the Light Mgr app installed as it seems to be conflicting with the light mgr app? For example, Gmail doesn't blink at the rate I have it set at in the app nor is it the color I designate. In fact, Gmail acts as if the Light Mgr app isn't even there and blinks as per the LG default (I''ve added Gmail as an app and tied it to my account as well within the app). Very odd.
check out my post on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2798399&page=2
it might solve your problem

3rd Party LED Notifications Won't Work

I have the G5 on AT&T and my LED is not lighting up for for texts or notifications from downloaded apps even though I have it turned on in settings.
Is anyone else having this issue?
Try the Lightflow app.
Yeah apparently now my LED isn't coming on at all. I'm inclined to think it's defective. I'll have to return and exchange it which is annoying since I already attached the glass screen protector to it and everything.
There's a setting under Sound/Notification LED for "downloaded apps". If you're giving a third-party app LED control, make sure you leave that turned on. I turned it off and all my Light Flow notifications unsurprisingly stopped working.
