Reverting back to Marshmallow - Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries

Hi, I want to downgrade back to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow by flashing it through Odin. But when it starts flashing, the box says FAIL. Any solution to fix this? Thank you in advance.

If there is a stock rom for any version above 5.0 please direct me..
Oh and sorry fir posting in wrong thread if I did. It said Help so..
There is only 1 stock lollipop rom for the Sprint Note 3 and that is OC5 5.0. There hasn't been an update to 5.0.2 or 5.1.1

Downgrade from 5.1 to 4.4.2 (NK2 or NH5)

Hi,
I am on stocked FOF6, unrooted. I've searched and could not find consistent answers.
Some suggest that this can be done without tripping KNOX in one step: From 5.1.1 to 4.4 so you can root
Another suggestion is a 2 step process: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=65236821&postcount=61
And another saying you can't http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=65190239&postcount=54. This also appears in the compilation thread Compilation of S5 (G900T) Stock Firmware/Root Methods/Bootloader/Modem/Recovery:
*Note: Don't use official 5.1.1 if you want to be able to downgrade firmware. Follow these instructions.*

[Questions] [Galaxy s6] x as is wrong

Hi,
I got my first cellphone with authority rooted in Andriod 5.x hereafter I switched on Andriod 6.0.1 after I got him here was rooted in my x axis wrong if I left then he clicks it up right ( Q is p on my keyboard) I have no backup or something . I've reset it , and I am currently actually a little desperate.
Does anyone have a solution so ?
It is a s6
Thanks in advance!
Joep
You didn't mention how you updated, but it doesn't sound like you did it officially. You should download the original firmware and flash via Odin. It'll wipe the phone so make sure to back up everything you need somewhere safe. If you rooted via a custom kernel that wasn't for your variant of S6, that might have caused this issue.

I updated with Odin and rooted with Odin. Do you have a link for the original software?

Well which firmware did you use? Which file to root? Did you have the issue after the firmware update or root?

ROM Upgrade recommendations?

Like many others, I'm completely frustrated with random restart issues after the June security update for Marshmallow (6.0.1) on my N915P.
I would rather not downgrade to Lollipop, as several posts have suggested.
Can anyone recommend an easy-to-install Nougat ROM, or at least a more-stable Marshmallow ROM?

I'd have to recommend the ROM I use currently on my Canadian Note Edge. Which is the Resurrection Remix ROM made by micky387 which is also android Nougat (7.1.2)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3509295
And Since the ROM doesn't natively support the N915P you would need to flash micky387's TWRP version that will let you flash the ROM in the first place.

Flashing the TWRP and then the ROM should make the Rom install just fine. My phone isn't supported but I made it work

Thanks for the suggestion. Anyone know of a N915P (Sprint) version?

Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet Stock ROM SGP771_28.0.A.8.260_1295-6955_Customized-DE

Hello to the forum,
I'd like to root my Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet (SGP771). When I bought it on eBay, it had firmware Android 7.1.1 (SGP771_32.4.A.1.54_1295-6955_Customized-DE), so I have to downgrade it to Lollipop or Marshmallow to use the "Dirty Cow" exploit, being able to backup my TA-partition.
I tried several Stock ROM's (Android 5.0.2, Andoid 6.0.1) which had another customization than DE. And after flashing the keeps rebooting in the "Starting Apps" sequence (just after showing the "Android"-logo). And I don't know, what causes this behaviour because I used only stock ROM's and the Bootloader is locked and haven't been unlocked before (DRM keys are still intact). And when reflashing the Android 7.1.1 firmware this strange behaviour is gone...
So I think I really have to downgrade to a Customized-DE Lollipop-/Marshmallow-firmware to be able to backup my TA-partition.
So can someone provide my with a download link of a SGP771_28.0.A.8.260_1295-6955_Customized-DE (or as alternative: SGP771_32.1.A.1.301_1295-6955_Customized-DE) stock ROM?
Thanks in advance and regards
