About:
These are my personal builds of AOSP for View 10 based on berkeley-dev trees. It's a plain Android with only a few minor changes added by me to make it more usable: better OTA packages support, some application fixes, under-the-hood improvements and kirin-specific patches. No additional system functional included.
What's working/broken:
Same as LineageOS 15.1
Installation:
Flash the latest ROM zip via recovery
Flash any other additional zip that you need
Reboot

Code:
[B]20180613:[/B]
Initial build based on android-8.1.0_r30 tag
Additional notes:
AOSP itself is bare bones and unlike LineageOS it is not very usable without gapps. Stock gapps package is preferred for the best experience, but you can use small packages too.
Compared to EMUI system may look very gigantic with stock DPI value, 420 dpi is recommended (it is used by Google on their 1080p devices). Go to dev settings and set smallest width to 411dp instead of 360dp.

This looks very promising. Thank you very much!
Will it also work with L09? Will there be OTA (security) updates?

While I didn't test it on L09, it uses same compatibility hacks as Lineage, so it should work fine here as well.
I'll keep it up-to-date with the latest AOSP tag always, so system-side security updates are guaranteed. Though device will still report vendor security patch level.

Yeah, sure.

Will this work for any Kirin device treble-enabled? I own a Mate 10 Pro. Thanks.

While it's intended for use only on V10, it should work for everything else as well. Although it may be necessary to remove the assertion from update-script.

Hey flex, is the "Pie version" has same "hotspot" bug as compare to other 9.0 lineage ROM?

Wrong thread?
But yeah, every treble Pie ROM has broken hotspot and it's not like there is any idea to fix it (for now).

Sadly your aosp build doesn't boot on l09....would have been good if your build booted before pie roms became stable enough to daily drive

Thanks. I'll look into this.
Wahoo, Omni at last! Can't wait to see the great things to come, Omni was my daily driver on N5 and it was perfect.
Thanks, dev and Omni team!
Cheers
So is this unofficial or just an alpha official build?
Shouldn't go in original development if its unofficial right?

Unofficial alpha build. Will see to it if I have to make it official.
Original development means that even if it's unofficial or official, I have borrowed device trees from Google and made significant changes to fix many things. Enjoy the rom.
Note: most probably next build would include multiuser.

@##W4TCH0UT## - Thanks for the credit! I just built this again to see if the advanced settings was fixed. Pretty sure that it's just a placeholder for mods that will be added in the future. That's probably why it's FC'ing. How did you get the kernel to build correctly? I'm still having issues with the kernel corrupting while it builds Omni.
For now, you must have root for Performance Settings to prevent the FC.
I see Performance Settings mentioned, are there any other features tested in this build?
No features have been forward ported from the android-4.4 branch since most are focusing on integrating support for non-nexus devices

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.

Is there a specific reason for removing SetupWizard?
You better try to use this gapps: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=745425885120757579
Anyone tried as second rom?
As far as I can tell, it works fine.
It seems to be sluggish when compared to 7.1.2 ROM, but one can't really complain having a relatively ancient device getting an Oreo ROM ahead of most new devices, eh?

I use standard Lineage manifest
Anyway, here goes a new build (20170919).
Some really minor fixes here. DRM should work fine now (for media apps like Netflix, GP movies).
NFC starts fine now, but toggle still messes things up. If you will turn it off - it will work properly only after reboot.
I'm not 100% sure about NFC, cause I don't have any tags/other devices with NFC, but it looks like driver works fine. Will be glad to hear any feedback about real NFC functionality (android beam or tags).
No luck with a camera for now, cause we have some really weird cluster**** in our HAL/driver.

Im using the atlest build , with Picogapps.
Other than VoIP calls (dont know about BT calls , i dont see much difference in system volume) everything is really good, Can't recommend enough.
I clean installed the device with the previous build , as i faced issue flashing using the newest build. Update it later.
Have been using this as my daily driver for the past 2 months. Never looked back.
Thank you developers , and if possible donate to them .
The latest nightly for this phone does not see the Sim cards. The one dated 20210206, I hope I am wrong or missing something but the earlier one 20210123 works fine.
Edit...it finally emerged it was the gaps that interfere with the Roms radio. The solution is to find a gaps package that works

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.
Code:
#include
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

Yes, is Android 10 bro.
Just selinux as permissive
great!! i'm going to try this in the next few days
does this support signature spoofing for microG?
does this need some specific SW binaries/ODM installation or does this work with stock ODM image?
thanks for your work

thanks,
just flashed it today, it seems to work fine.
but then i enabled encryption and... now the device is bootlooping.
"trust" app reported SELinux as "disabled" instead of "permissive".

Thanks for report, we'll check it. Disabled = permissive, kinda no difference.
I'm excited that msm8956 is still being maintained, even Lineage 18.1 is on road, I still hold my Xperia X Compact. Thank you so much.
Hello, I tried downloading the rom but it seems like the .zip was deleted, can you reupload it? TIA.
New version is up with Enforcing SELinux and working Encryption!!!

Hello,
Was deleted as we are going to push them to AFH, that's why.
Thanks
Regards Jose
Finally, what I've been waiting for, can't wait to flash the rom. But can you please tell me if it drains battery on idle like it does on stock nougat and oreo? I'm gonna try it anyway but I'm just curious that's all, thanks!
Also which GApps would you prefer for better performance? mini, micro, nano or pico?

Hey
Good to hear that you are enjoying it.
You won't be able to use GCam on our builds as oreo stock camera blobs uses HAL1, and GCam uses HAL3
Thanks
Regards Jose
Sorry if it's a stupid question but is there any way to get the stock sony camera on this rom as I can't use the GCam.
