Would this work on a 2nd gen box that won't boot past the white Amazon screen? Does the zip file have all of the partitions needed to repair a non bootable box?

Think I might try this in the next coming weeks since there is no other guide out there. Just need a stencil and emmc adapter. @Jackie393 I might have a lot of questions for you once I get started as I’m not very proficient with Linux. Also, could you not find any points on the PCB so we don’t have to lift the chip?

My skill not best and now i damage my emmc. i will order new emmc and make tutorial video soon

hate to bump and old thread, but did you still have to have those videos up! I am looking for a guide on how to do it!

After an Amazon update I also had a boot problem with my Amazon Fire TV2 and only saw the white logo and then the red debug note
I tried to repair the Fire TV2 according to instructions from Jackie393...
eMMC Flash desoldered, a new Flash of the same type ordered from China and programmed with its files via Linux. After soldering the eMMC Flash on the Amazon Fire TV2 mainboard , did not boot anymore.
The white LED remained off...
After I flashed his UserDat directory on my original eMMC, my directory was destroyed by the update, I think I soldered this original eMMC back on the mainboard of Amazon TV.... the mainboard immediately started with the white LED and board booted again completely......
Now my question? Are there any hidden files on the eMMC that the bootloader asks for and which of course are not present on a completely new eMMC?

Sorry for all. i order new eMMC from Aliexpress, i try flash all parttition to new eMMC but My Fire TV not boot, may be some partition hide with original eMMC or new eMMC need patch CID to compatible with CPU.
Sorry my english. i'm not a phone repaier, and developer. sorry all

Hello, Jackie393... You don't have to apologize ... if it were that easy, everybody could do it Does anyone have an idea why this part doesn't boot ?

did you successfully reflash and downgrade.
i know in 2021 and beyond , most likely the only way to do this now is using the unbrick , and
rom flash method. this is because with each updated firmware ,
amazon patches more and more to stop the holes that allow root .
unlike years ago the simple one click rooting solution simply wont work anymore.
you would need to search for unbricking fire tv 2 sloane ,
the technique requires you to learn how to short the fire tv 2 motherboard pins at the same time
you run the specific linux command line prompts.
yes its tricky , and requires you to learn the feel of how to do it ,
but once you get it , youll never have a bricked amazon device again , nor are you
at the mercy of amazon anymore.
i highly recommend the unbrick/ rom flash method ,
but be prepared to make mistakes and get frustrated until you get it.
it definately takes time and a learning curve.

someone can suggest a solution for to fix it?
Do you have any experience in jtaggin?
Sent from the little guy
yes i have it, how i can fix it? what i have to do?
If you have to ask, don't try it. Take it someone who knows what they're doing. One slight misplacement of the soldering iron & you end up with a hunk of plastic worth $0.20
i jtagged lots of devices but never a S2, i don't care to trow it into the garbage after... because it is out of warranty and i cannot use it anymore.
Can u please help me?
As i told u i have the riff and i tryied the resurrection but the log u saw says that i cannot recover it with the riff.
Replace motherboard. Either service centre, or get one from a 'donor' phone with a broken screen or whatever (search eBay or Google).

replace the mobo is a easy solution... it is the solution of the noob, i'm try to find a real solution

He means jtagging is not an easy toy to play with.
And for whar i've seen there are a lot of dead body messages in that log you posted.
Also when the mobo is fried, it's fried.

With this I think he means that he repartitioned the nand memory after removing 2gb of memory starting from the first memory block. Basically in the partition table that 2gb will be kept as unused space.

GUIDE EDL POINTS and TOOL (no fake points)

Hi , here's how i managed to start edl on my bricked Poco X3
- The true points are hidden by the usb map , and NOT at the place mentionned in many "putaclic" web pages.
- This place make it really harder to connect than in other know devices.
- Here is my solution :
01 remove cover ..
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",

now remove green screws on the top+orange screw in order to remove plastic cover and access mother board.
02 unplug power map (in red) + usb map (in green)
03 now you see test points (in green) and fakes ones (in red)
04 make a tool using aluminium or coper paper and adhesive
05 place the tool in order to contact points like this :
06 reconnect usb map
you will have to press with your favorite nail to get edl start
Thx and Credits:
@mahajant99 (XDA and telegram) for found the points
Myself for the tool and method without remove mother board

For my personal tips, I would avoid flashing custom ROMs and stick with the stock one until at least a stable version of recovery and ROM had been released. I had 4 devices prior to this present Poco X3 and none of them I had hard bricked. Only bootloops.
Anybody now about THE edl point for note 9 pro is? I test it from pictures om Google but it didnt work
Thank you very much for this helpful guide. I hope I do not need it. Very deceptive of people to publish false EDL points. Thanks for that tip ??

Question Root Realme GT 5G (RMX2202) ...Global Version?

Hiya folks,
I've recently flashed the global ROM onto my originally-China variant Realme GT 5G RMX2202 device -- and I'm wondering if anyone has rooted this thing.
I did some searching and found references to a "Kingroot" APK that does so... but it looks a bit sketchy, so I was hoping anyone who has experience in this department could post what has worked for you
Thanks much!

2) After flashing the global ROM I didn't need to change the region; Google Assistant worked!
3) Yes that's the right thread!

Lemme ask you something else (or anyone that sees this comment), did you have issues with the Chinese rom where you sometimes missed calls? Like there's no record of the call ever happening as if you had no signal (no missed call in the log, whoever was calling went straight to voicemail, etc) I've been having that issue since day one but since I don't call much it doesn't really bother me, that being said I'm wondering if the international rom would fix that (or the Android 12 update). I've searched around but it does seem like I'm a isolated case
It looks like I made a brick, constant bootloop, enters the recovery but the bootloader is not unlocked, wipe data did not help, tell me, oh yes when connecting to the PC, it is defined only as the port Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008

During the procedure with wwr I get files of EMMC_BOOT MT6580_Android_scatter PGPT. I left the phone in charger for hours but wont boot. there is still sound of connection with computer. You could back up your partitions with this tool https://github.com/bkerler/mtkclient and also try to flash all the files that contain the stock ROM for your device. MediaTek's devices are hard to be completely bricked.

Thank you so much for the tool and information! I opened the built in battery and disconnect and connect it back and the phone works again.
Could you please tell me if there is a custom rom for this phone as the stock rom makes the phone very slow.
I have philiz recovery

Well, I found this https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-aosp-n-7-1-1-for-infinix-hot-4-x557-16-2.3680529/ And TWRP always works better than Philz recovery https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/custom-recovery-for-infinix-hot-4-lite.4238783/

Thank you again!
I already see this rom but my phone is only 1go ram not 2go like in this thread. There is hot 4 lite which I have and hot 4 pro.
Will be no problem if I flash this custom rom for my phone?

Well, check if it is not a mistake from you or from the OP, in that thread, it says that the ROM is for X557 model, which is the one you said, you have just few posts above.

yes there are 2 versions of x557 first one : 16 + 1go which I have and 16 + 2go that the rom is for.
Is it okay to flash even they have difference in the ram.
Thank you so much!

Not sure what 1go/2go means though, anyway, the most important here is the SoC and the model, that probably shares the same kernel, if "Lite" was the name given by the OEM, meaning, a low powered device in matter of RAM, then it should be fine.
