Jio4GVoice offline solution. - Lenovo A6000/Plus Guides, News, & Discussion

Okay, so first of all, the solution I'm sharing here is tested on Lenovo a6000 running android O, but might also work on other devices, so feel free to give it a try.
Before going to the solution, I'd like to explain a little, in order to understand the problem, just to be sure whether this is the thread you were searching or not. So my jio4gvoice works on my phone (a6000) but as soon as I leave it, it goes offline and if someone calls at that moment they'll probably hear either "not reachable" or a "switch off" tone. Because I don't call people that frequently I was worried only about receiving calls, so as a simple workaround I diverted my jio calls to my secondary sim (sim2), and it was a okay thing for me. But if you'd think for a second, the Jio4GVoice service keeps running in the back ground, it just goes offline but if you reopen the app you'll be online again (If not you just have to go to Jio4GVoice settings and restart the service by clicking the toggle button twice). So I tried it using a automator to restart the service by directly opening the settings activity of the app everytime I unlock my phone. But I noticed it doesn't do the trick. It goes online only if you open the main activity of the app. So here's the main problem, as soon as I leave the app, the service keeps running in the background, but if the android system feels that the memory is getting low than it kills the service, although the service restarts it remains offline because the main activity of the app wasn't opened. So the trick is to tell the system that the memory isn't getting low.
Here's how to do:
=> Go to kernel adiutor. If you don't have it you can download it.
=> Go to Low memory killer.
=> Set a lower value for SECONDARY_SERVER and VISIBLE_APP. ( I have set it to 0 )
(you can test with all other values too. If you don't know about them, Google.)
=> Find the thanks button.
=> That's it. :good:
PS- I'm no expert, I just thought it might help someone. Also, may be doing so is not a good idea or whatever, but who cares, right?

Thanks for sharing bro

[Q] Locking on active call

Am I the only one that gets frustrated trying to hang-up a call? The phone shouldn't lock on active calls, but I can't find anyone else complaining. Maybe I'm searching for the wrong key terms?
Anyways, I've found a few apps on the market, like no lock, but it's not a true fix. There has to be some way to disable locking while on a call. I shouldn't have to spend 3 seconds to press the hang-up button.
** Additional Complaint: On speakerphone, the screen blanks out immediately. **
I get the same thing, very frustrating. There's a thread for accessing programming thru the dialer & one of those settings impacts this. The *#7594# that enables power off at long press of the power button also disables the lock screen and fixes this problem. But when I used it, it seemed to prevent my phone from sleeping, I noticed a big difference in battery life so I went back to stock set up.

This annoys me too but I don't know how to fix it.

Its really annoying when u r trying to type n a credit card number and the lockscreen pops up. I will say that for me, it o ly seems to happen after I install clockwork. I highly highly doubt this has anything to do with it. Maybe just when I notice it

I tried testing this when I saw the first post on it, but I can't seem to replicate this issue. I remember reading this was for incoming calls, not ougoing.
I have Screebl Lite installed, but I disabled it, set my screen timer to 15 seconds, called my cell, covered the light sensor for 30 seconds, checked the screen and no lock. I then covered the light sensor for 1m 30s, checked the screen and no lock.
Does anyone have specific steps to replicate this?
It only locks when I use bluetooth. Is that what the issue is?
good day.
I get this alllll the time...and when using speakerphone the screen stays on, you have to hit power button to turn it off

What the heck? My screen never locks when I'm on the phone. Honestly, I kind of wish it would. I have the completely opposite problem. I keep accidentally hanging up or muting myself because apparently, the proximity sensor doesn't detect hair, so the screen turns on when my hair is in the way of the side of my face. It's extremely annoying...
I wonder why my phone doesn't lock and all of yours do...?
Soultion???
Possible Solution for the problem at hand. Started when I began using a task killer. So make sure you HAVE an android process called "Call settings" in your ignore list when using a task killer. The call settings process will only start on the first incoming call after a boot. So your first call or two would work fine until any task killer kills the call settings process. I have been able to replicate this. And have not had it happen since figuring this out.
Reboot. Call device from another method to get "Call settings" to appear in your running processes list and add to ignore list.
good day.
Interesting thank you so much for posting it was quite an annoying problem.
I just had my roommate call my phone after killing the process. Im using advanced task manager and do not see a "call settings". I do see a task called "phone" though.
what task manager are you using?
Thanks for the fix, im 90% sure this is a reliable fix and makes plenty of since. Mine started after i downloaded advanced task manager. And i use it often to kill background tasks to make sure they arent running.

Advanced Task Manager by:Infolife (on the market) and FREE
I just use it for the one touch kill widget with memory display below the little guy. I never did like the always running auto kill stuff I prefer to do it when I see fit. But on fresh boot opened ATM and ignored all things android and the obvious apps you want running. Like I said, it is not until your first incoming call that the call settings process will appear to be able to add that to ignore list.
good day.
Thanks for the info but I must be missing something. Just tried to get call settings listed in running processes & it doesn't show after following the steps listed. Could you be more specific about what it's called?

Call settings is the name of the process. It seems not all task managers list android processes but still muck with them somehow. But the one I listed above did show the android processes running. On reboot "call settings" will not appear in the running processes list until you receive an incoming call. And that should explain why first couple calls would work fine until a task killer had its way. Took a screen of my ignore list so you can see it. If I stop that call settings process the first outgoing or incoming call will be locked.
good day.
Are you running stock d101? I got the same task manager from the market & have rebooted & called from a different phone multiple times and can't get call settings to show in the processes list. What am I doing wrong?

DI01 rooted and voodooed. Answer the call and it should show up.
good day.
Call settings still won't show but phone did & so did samsung.phoneinfo so I put both on the ignore list and it seems to work. Thanks for your help on this, it was one of the most frustrating aspects of everyday usage.

On a somewhat related note, I noticed that when your phone is locked and you receive a call, the glass unlock option shows up and you can answer the call (or ignore/reject with message). But if you answer the call and then YOU want to hang up, it forces you to unlock the phone in order to reach the option to do so. Is there any way to have a glass unlock function for hanging up? Needing to unlock the phone to hang up a received call is EXTREMELY annoying...

The above is in my ignore list as well. Just don't do any auto killing keep an eye out for that call settings process I bet it will appear.
good day. From my voodooed Fascinate using the XDA app.
As mentioned above. Im running stock just rooted. And my call settings hasnt showed up at all. I did add phone and samsung.phoneinfo and it seems to have fixed it.

Phone Lagging in receiving data

Hi everyone,
I am currently using a driver app that requires me to take jobs orders from this app. However I realize this app is very unstable and notification and data receive varies each time. Sometimes it could be fast , sometimes it could be slow. I try all kinds of boosting apps from playstore and non works. I try downloading different type of speed booster, signal amplify, GCM or even push notification but non work . As I am not a programmer and a super newbie to android, I just don't know what kind of tweaks I can apply to make this app work perfectly .
The app that I download has the following permission
approximate location ( network based )
Precise location ( GPS and network - based )
modify or delete the contents of your SD card
read the contents of your SD card
full network access
view network access
view wi fi connections
receive data from internet
control vibration
prevent phone from sleeping
access extra location provider commands
send Sticky Broadcast
I downloaded a system tool to view this app services and processes and found as below

This apps is a Driver apps and a Customer will download the User app. The customer will place a location from point A to Point B and he will press on the User app to find driver. A radar will shown on the User apps and it will show how many drivers have receive the order, from 0 to 22 to 45 to 120, 300, 800, to 2000. My driver friends will be with me at times and I realize sometimes they will receive the notification first follow by job order and sometimes i will receive it later time. But sometimes i will receive faster than anyone else.
I have notice the following incident occurs when a user place a job order
scenario A - notification came out first, job order not yet appear on my phone. ( 100% i could not take this job )
scenario B - notification came out first, job order came out 1 to 2 seconds later. ( 50% that i could take this job )
scenario C - notification and job order came out together on my phone ( 75% that i can get the job )
scenario D - job order came out first follow by notification on my phone ( 90% that i can get the job )
scenario E - Job order came out follow by no notification at all ( 100% that i can get the job )
I have try deleted permission like Sticky Broadcast from the app and reinstall but it still fail because i thought it will make the phone slow and unstable. There is still lag when I receive the job order. My phone has no other app but only this app running, other apps are all pre install phone apps. I have try all kind of methods like going nearer to a cell tower but the result still varies.
I hope someone here could help me with this. I will be very appreciate it.

Greenify Phone Call Issues (Receive/Make)

Hello, everybody, lemme tell you all a quick story
First of, i want to apologize my english, it isn't my native language, so, ill try to do my best.
Alright, lets go straight to the point.. Im that kind of guy who doesnt uses "Phone Calls" or "SMS" anymore, since we have lots of Apps which can do that service for us, just by using the Inthernet connection, so, yea. But, like everybody does (Or am i the only one?) My father/grandma/grandpa and some other members of my family, they like it oldschool and arent that updated with technology, so, they dont have smartphones and stuff...
The point is, my family (mainly father, he calls me a lot) seems to be complaining about, trying to call me, and receiving the notice that my phone has "no signal or is turned off" and cant talk to me during this time... I found it all strange, since my phone is 24/7 On and signal receiving, and i dont have signal problems where i live, never had. So i started with some tests, took another phone (To call mine), and the results i found was:
1. After i hibernate my phone using greenify hibernator (I used to use the action like double tap on screen with Nova Launcher, so it Hibernates + lock Screen), the phone goes like, deeply hibernated. When i try to call myself using another phone, it does say that "The number you are trying to talk has no signal or device is off".
2. Then i go on my phone, unlock it, and open the PHONE stock app, and try again calling my phone, and, the same error occurs...
3. Then, i go on my phone again, and try calling someone, and no success (i dont even hear the sounds of regular calling, it just says "Couldnt complete your call" and goes back to my Dialer screen), BUT after that, when i try calling my own phone back again, it does ring normally.
CONCLUSIONS: I think that Greenify is hibernating some kind of service that is used by my phone to make/receive calls... (Yea, i tried uninstalling Greenify to see if problem is solved, and it was, but i dont want to stay without Greenify). About my phone and settings on Greenify, Here we go:
DEVICE: Sony Xperia Z3 Compact, running Stock 5.1.1 latest version of LP, rooted, debloated and deodexed.
GREENIFY SETTINGS: [Running it in Root Mode, XPosed Module ON] The only apps i have listed to auto-hibernate, are those famous draining apps like, Facebook/Messenger, Instagram, only stuff like that... No System apps are selected to hibernate. The options i have checked are "Wakeup Timer Coalescing", "Telephony Wakeup", "Don't Remove Notifications" and, thats all.
How can i proceed to keep Greenify installed and keep my Phone working properly at the same time? I even had serious discussions with my family complaining about my phone, that they can never talk to me, bla bla bla, now that i realized that the problem is on my phone, i really want to solve it.
Thanks, sorry for my english once again, and big text.
@EDIT: After hours making changes in-app and setting the whole phone up, i figured out that the problem wasnt with Greenify, the problem was with my Carrier Provider... Thanks
@Closerequest
You can hide the apps from Greenify
I hide my phone and signal apps from Greenify. That's using Greenify lingo because Greenify uses the word 'Hide' to mean exclude from Greenify. Anyway, click the + icon then show more at the bottom. A list of apps are shown and you can highlight apps you don't want Greenify to manage. Now, if the app you're wanting to exclude is not here, it means that it's already being managed by Greenify so go back to previous screen with the apps being categorized by Greenify then you first need to take them away from the big G (Greenify) by highlighting them and clicking the Minus
(−) icon. Then proceed to Hide (or exclude) them as described above, clicking the plus (+) sign, Show More, you will now see the apps you were looking for just waking up and yawning and furious at you for waking them up. Expect sluggish performance at first depending on how long they've been sleeping. Tell them they're not bears while you highlight them then click the Hide icon (circle with diagonal slash). Stop your ears from listening to their side comments while you swipe the screen away to get back to reading the news using Smartnews app. The gall of paid apps complaining. ?

Wi-fi scanning continuosly show Problem !

Hi everybody, i keep receiving this annoying pop up with wifi scanning every time i lock my phone even when the wifi is off or on. I turn the scanning off / on from developer mode (kept it in both ways for a while but still the message appears). Location off/ only gps/or high accuracy. Seems that all the commands don't really work.
Please help!
Thanks
I have the same problem! Would be great to get a solution to this. For me, the pop-up only seems to appear when I have Wi-Fi turned off. Whenever the pop-up appears, it minimises the app I'm in, too, which is really annoying because I use Google Maps in my car a lot, and I like to have the Wi-Fi off so the phone doesn't keep trying to connect to Wi-Fi networks that require authentication.
Now its happening the same with me...when wifi is off... It supposed to be an option in the wifi advance settings but...i dont see anything there...that helps...
Have you tried going into settings-security & Privacy-Location services-tap on 3 dots-scan settings and make sure wifi and Bluetooth scanning is off?
Yea, i did that too... Everywhere i could possible know it can be a setting to scan/ locate )... Only thing seems to work for not so many popups is letting wi-fi on all the time ). Good that it has good battery life...
Turning the WiFi + off solved the problem for me.
I have the same problem it's really annoying... And it pops out every once in a while it doesn't matter if you click agree or deny on this message
The only thing that seems to be working it's keep the wifi on... But of course I shouldn't be like that.... Any idea why we have this annoying pop up message?
Found this at Android Central, has to do with incompatibility with latest play store update. If you downgrade play store , then you get popups about Google play services being out of date. Oh well, just keep hitting cancel I guess. Im sure an update to solve will come soon. Lol
Here is what Huawei sent me:
Thank you for contacting Huawei Device USA!
We really appreciate your interest in our devices.
This is caused by incompatibilities between the device and Google Play services of version 12.8.74 or later.
Solution:
It is recommended that you try to solve it in the following three ways:
When pop up, touch CANCEL button.
Go to Settings > Security & privacy > Location services > The three vertical dots > Scan settings, turn off WLAN scanning.
For now, you are advised to go to Settings > Apps & notifications > Apps > More > Show system processes > Google Play services >The three vertical dots > Uninstall updates(This path will not appear until the version is updated).
Feel free to share this information.
Huawei is actively working with the Google development team to provide a final solution. Please stay tuned for updates about this issue.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to you, we are working hard to make a connected world and this includes the satisfaction of our valuable customers.

Mate 10 lite here, been receiving this pop-up like mad yesterday. So I was right in thinking that the pop-up was probably caused by Google being Google again.
Hopefully we get a final solution that doesn't involve downgrading Play Services, a component that insists on being up to date.

Accessibility not accessible, phone does not ring

My new MiNote 7 with Android 9 has stopped 'ringing' when calls are received. I get vibration and light flashing but if I am not looking at the phone I do not know if someone is trying to call. Sound is on and turned up. I cannot find any obvious incorrect setting EXCEPT this may be part of a much wider problem. For many of my apps etc ACCESSIBILITY is not ACCESIBLE.
When I try to give access in the Accessibility Menu by clicking the on/off trigger I am taken to another 'service will be performed' window but on clicking OK a message flashes on (too) briefly about apps blocking a permission dialogue and to drag them away or close the app. I don't know what this means, it is incomprehensible to me as there is no blocking app present. Ironically, as well as this happening with numerous apps / settings etc it also happens when trying to access the Accessibility Menu itself! --- a sort of Catch 22 situation?
I expect I am failing to grasp something basic but need advice on how to escape from this before I go bananas.
