External turn on Flight mode? possible? - Android Developer Previews

Dear technicians,
Short question, is it technical possible to turn on flight mode external (from a dedicated device or a phone).
Of course the device must give approval for it.
Kind regards (tried to get a picture with this thread).

Acer liqui blocked on flight mode

Hi,
I have an Acer liquid Metal, on ginger, rooted.
The smartphone once time rooted, was good, during many weeks...
After the last change of hour ( i say it, but i don't know if there any coinsidence), my smartphone who was on automatique date/hour, was always bloqued in flight mode.
If i change the mode, it will be good during seconds, and back in flight mode.
I have changed it, in manual mode, i put the time and date, and now it stay in Gsm mode, all is correct.
But when i put on my smartphone, it run under flight mode, i must change it, put in gsm mode, and it stay like that.
But the problem, is at each power up, i must begin this operation.
If anyone have a solution, it will be with pleasure !

[Q] Phone won't boot, blue led stays on

Edit: Please lock or delete this thread. I've reposted the question in the correct forum.
Hi everyone,
This is my first post and I hope I won't somehow piss anyone off. I'm just looking for a little advice or guidance.
Device: SPH-D710 Samsung Galaxy S2 on Sprint (CDMA). It was running the latest over the air ICS update. It was not rooted.
Background: Starting about a month ago the phone began to occasionally restart on its own. Also, my clock widget began to disappear randomly, no matter how many times I would put it back on the screen. Would occasionally crash on resource heavy apps like chrome or facebook.
Problem: While running an app the phone crashed. I pulled the battery and restarted it. It never booted. The screen remains completely black and the blue LED light stays on. I've tested a different battery, it wasn't the problem. I've plugged it into my computer and it does not see the device.
Question: I'm pretty sure this phone is bricked but would love confirmation (whether you can confirm or tell me how I can confirm). What I really care about is being able to access the data that was on the phone. Is there any way I can access the data? The sprint store said it would be 50 bucks to look at it and if they can't fix it they would get me a new phone. I really don't care about a new phone. Is there anything that they can do to recover my data that I can't?
Basically, is there anything I can do to access the internal memory files? (Secondary question is can I fix the phone).
Thank you in advance for your input and excuse me if I haven't followed all common etiquette on this forum. (I did search the topic).
Hello wukilaflee
Can you access the download or recovery mode of your phone? Take a look at this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S_II_Series At some point it says to activate "USB debugging". Since your phone doesn't boot up just try the key combination. Please report in which modes your phone boots up.
To partially answer the question of your files/data: If you used an external sd-card you can pull it out of the phone and put it into your computer (maybe you need an adapter). But most of the files will be on the internal storage of the phone. That's the tricky part. But first of all answer the question above. If it boots in download/recovery phone I'm pretty sure that it's not totally bricked

Hello Experience7, the OP clearly states they've realised they posted in the wrong forum & has now re-posted to the correct forum.
Sorry, I thought this is already the "moved" post. Thanks.

[Q] Extracting data from Wildfire S with unresponsive touchscreen

Apologies if this is not the right place to ask this - I'm new to forum.xda-developers.com.
I dropped my old HTC Wildfire S and the screen cracked in such a way that I can still see what's on the screen, but it's unresponsive so I can't interact with it (can't even swipe to unlock the screen).
I've bought a new phone and moved the SIM and micro SD card across, but to my dismay found that some of my data must have been stored on the phone, not on the SIM or SD. Most important is my contacts/phonebook (no, they're not in my Google Contacts list either).
I just connected it to my (Ubuntu 12.04) laptop and of course it just goes into 'Charge Mode' - this is normal - I always did have to tell the phone to connect in data mode in order to be able to access files on there, but of course I can't do that now because the touchscreen won't respond.
If anyone has any advice on any of the following then I'd be most grateful:
a) how to force the usb connection into data mode rather than just charge mode
b) whether I'll be able to access the phone's contacts file/directory/? even if I can access the phone in data mode, and how to do this
c) if I'm asking in the wrong place, any advice on a better forum to place this question.
I'm afraid I have no idea what version of the Android OS is on there, but it's a few years old. I never did any development on there, so it's not rooted or anything like that.
Many thanks.

I would appreciate help with my current broken S4, specifically getting my data off.

hey, a week ago my phone was crushed by one of my friends somehow and now, as you could guess, it doesnt.. display. No touch response either as far as i can tell. only response is vibration (turning on and off, recovery mode etc)
see.. i've really messed up here. this is a samsung device which means i have two tools useful in aiding my problem. kies and FindMyMobile (to unlock the screen) and as i just noted my phone is locked so kies will not work. why cant i just import files? Usb Debugging is disabled. FindMyMobile? not enabled on device. AllShare? Remote Control? both disabled. everything seems to be blocking me.
so the question is, is there any way possibly using adb or another method to either enable usb debugging or pull my files from my internal SD? if so, sorry to be a pain but this hasn't happened before. well, my data hasn't been as important before. Anyway, could you explain in deep detail for me? i'd appreciate it.
if not, is there any program or method to unlock my phone through my computer?
please, no one suggest USB OTG as even if my device does support it, it either wont work or i wont be able to get one in time. my phone goes off for repair or replacement on the 28th. (factory reset)
i've been looking for the past 5 or so days for a software that can do this. Wondershare was one of them, installed the recovery package on my phone but did nothing at all.
I apologise for the long and vague question im not sure what im asking. i just want all my photos and videos off my phone. nothing else. my computer recognises my phone but doesnt allow data transfer. i guess my priority right now is finding out a way to unlock my phone. Thank you in advance

Asus zenfone 3 deluxe sms recovery ?

Hi all,
First of all, this is my first post on the forum, so I hope this in the right section. I apologize if that’s not the case.
The post is about my zenfone 3 deluxe that I have broken. Precisely, the screen is broken and is not responding anymore but the smartphone is still working (phone call, notification etc).
Now I am desperately trying to recover my SMS/MMS from the phone since several days. I have tried many things but nothing had really worked.
In fact, I have identified two major issues I don’t know how to bypass.
First one is: the phone is on the homepage view (screen after a reboot) where the phone is secured by a scheme (that I therefore cannot draw).
Second one is: when I plug the phone on the PC, the phone is asking to validate if data can be accessed from the PC. Otherwise, phone is in charge mode only and no access is possible.
If one of you have any idea on how to bypass one of these protections, you help will be really appreciated.
Thanks!
Antonio
