PolesApart Kernel [WT88047/REDMI 2][UNOFFICIAL] - Xiaomi Redmi 2 ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Other

The goal here is both is to play with features which could be later be backported to official kernels, but also ones that probably shouldn't (like fast charging).
I'm basing my work on some existing kernels, but putting a little tuning here and there and making available via anykernel (3, currently) zippable installers. Currently there's only one maintaned branch, for LineageOS 17.1 and derivatives (success reports comes from LoS 15.1 to Non-LOS based roms, YMMV).
Contributors and testers are always welcome.
Due credit to karthik km for his miracledroid kernel and nicknitewolf for his kernel, rom and all his contributions in having our wt88047 devices up-to-date.

Thanks for your great works
I wish the source updated with the patches that you applied into it, so it will be easier to read and track

You'd have to try. If it doesn't work, then you need to flash the rom again or extract the boot.img from the rom's zip and apply via fastboot.

The zram branch is up to date. The miracledroid will be when I release anything from it. I'm currently trying a build from the latter(with zram updates) , and the battery consumption when idle seems way better. If I don't catch anything wrong I'll release a build this week.

In my tree, lineage-15.1 branch will always be even with upstream. That helps me merging. What you're looking for is available both in:
https://github.com/polesapart/android_kernel_wingtech_msm8916/commits/lineage-15.1-polesapart-zram
and in: https://github.com/polesapart/andro.../commits/lineage-15.1-polesapart-miracledroid - but the latter is out of sync, as I tried to explain earlier.
I'll update these URLs on the OT.

That for CM Team this is still a work in progress, and CM Team does not offer support to any kang build. If one day will not appear it means that source was not buildable. New build is on buildbox now, expected to roll out in a few hours after test
I've found a issue with RIL, CM is basing on CAF telephony - they have not updated the ril api to 11 like AOSP did - all it means that all other CM 12.1 builds base on 5.0.2 blobs not the 5.1 ones like I did. Merged new stuff from AOSP mr1 into cm12.1 staging branch, all should get back in place now
And calls work wifi and sms? Almost daily driver?

It should be all working in current build with 5.1 libs from AOSP, meantime CM will need to rebase telephony on their own.
Will update with progress anytime now
Today's build is up on server - all is working like it should(telephony is fixed with AOSP 5.1 libs).
Happy flashing
Im stuck at just a sec screen is gapps included or needed and which ones? All is good just rebooted phone and flashed minimal gapps 5.1

Custom SlimSaber ROMs and mods
First and foremost we would like to send out a huge
THANK YOU to @fusionjack for providing the great SlimSaber source
Because more and more users started to enjoy building their own custom SlimSaber versions and SlimSaber compatible kernels, it was time to start a separate thread.
In this thread users/developers can publish their custom builds and we can discuss them while keeping the official SlimSaber thread clean.
I would like to ask all to keep discussions about any custom build here in this thread and only discuss the official build in the official SlimSaber thread.

My builds are based on the stock SlimSaber source. I build more frequently than the official SlimSaber release. Also I might add new features to test before they are included in the official build.
The kernel included is the unmodified SlimSaber stock kernel.
Difference compared to stock SlimSaber build:
Removed AudioFX and replaced it with Viper4Android build from source
You can dirty flash my build over the official build and visa versa.

I am not sure the reason for building a ROM on Slimsaber. I would rather request you to consider building a ROM on Official SLIMP. SLIMSaber itself is a UNOFFICIAL build of SLIMP (If I am not wrong).
That will give you an identity and we all user will definitely enjoy and like to see something new from you.
Please ignore if it hurts u. My intention not to hurt u. I like to see something new.

[ROMs][UNOFFICIAL][6.0.1] Tesla | Dirty Unicorns | AICP

Hi everyone,
The reason why i created this thread is just to share what I compiled for my personal use fulfilling what i expect from my device Oneplus X. Recently someone asked me for the roms which are best compatible with my Arsenic Kernel, so here they are. These are the Unofficial builds of some of the renowned roms like DU and Tesla.
Since i didnt want to make seprate threads while keeping it newbie friendly i decided to make just one short thread listing all the changes i made in them apart from rom specific.
Please keep in mind that m not an official maintainer so dont expect me to release new updates regularly like official ones as i compiled them for personal use.
Features and Bug Fixes that you can expect in my builds (other than rom specific) are:
Faster GPS.
Less heating even while charging.
Better compatibility with Arsenic Kernel as default.
No new Qualcomm location stack and CNE service (they are known to be a cause of battery drain and heating issues)
No Audio/Mic issues.
Fixed Network Mode changing issue in DU.
No speed drops while i/o operations in sd card (AICP & DU only)
Updated Media Codecs (AICP & DU only)
These ROMs have Arsenic as prebuilt kernel, but if you want to shift to anyother kernel then feel free to flash any, they will work without any issue.
This thread currently supports Tesla, DU and AICP compiled by me which can be found in the below download links..
As far as rom related bugs are concerned, you should report them TO HERE ONLY..! NOT in the community as i havent posted the links in community so its better you should report them here only, m here to fix them for my unofficial builds.
I wont be updating the thread with every New Release of the builds, find them in given folder and flash them of you want to, i wont spoonfeed.
Both DU and Tesla Team has dropped support for their marshmallow builds so consider them EOL (End of Line).
Download Links:
Tesla : https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=115104
LINK FOR DU & AICP CONTAINS BOTH BUILDS, ONE COMPATIBLE WITH OLD BOOTLOADER AND ONE WITH NEW BOOTLOADER SO FLASH RIGHT ONE WITH YOUR EYES OPENED!!!

AICP : https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=120663

Thank you man, you're really great. I'm using your awesome kernel since the first days with DU. To have them both optimized in one ROM is really fantastic. Will try it asap.

Hi,
I had a question. How are these builds different than others?
If a user wants a custom kernel, he can flash yours.
So if I am not wrong the only change I observe is
- They are built with your kernel.
Can you please tell us ROM specific changes or push them somewhere?
Thank you.

For updates, dirty flash (if you are coming from a previous version of exactly this ROM) should be fine, but format system and cache before you flash. First boot will take 5-10 minutes, depending on how many apps you have installed (more apps = longer first boot).
If there is no changelog for a new build, have a look at https://www.cmxlog.com/14.1/oneplus2/ and https://github.com/Seraph08/device_oneplus_oneplus2/commits/cm-14.1.
12.12.2016:
- alert slider is fixed (was broken in build of 6th December)
- updated to Android 7.1.1
05.12.2016:
- SELinux back to permissive
01.12.2016:
- SELinux is enforcing now (V4A users beware)
- Latest version of SuperSU won't break sensors anymore

[Kernel] [3.4.15] [D855] WinXkernel [Alpha 0.2] [15/02/17]

After compiling roms for a couple devices and learning about the android rom, i have decided to dabble in the arts
of kernel compiling, i started with my main device the Nexus 6p, learnt a fair bit compiling kernels for it, so i decided to
come back to this device for testing purposes and trying to test and go back to ARM device which is completely different.
Now with the Nexus device i went full updated linux kernel first then gave updates, but this time ill be doing something a little
different, i will upstream some kernel updates, plus caf updates then i will give a release, or for example, the first realease i will
give you guys will be 3.4.2 kernel version, just to get things going, then next release will be a higher version.
I hope all of you like it i will be adding alot of stuff in the coming months.
All releases will keep up to date and working with latest CM roms
Here is the download link just click on the kernel and it will download

Ok so stock stock kernel you get with stock rom or even custom like CyanogenMod/lineageos has a kernel version of 3.4, each incremental update after that eg 3.4.1 or even 3.4.100 has many fixes and updates within the kernel, some do nothing for our device but others can, a small code change in one file can impact the way the kernel works

Yep, RR based on linage. So basically it should work, but after 10-30sec the ROM reboots
I can't wait for up to 3.4.113

Well I'm running latest lineageos and I have never had it reboot on me. Are you using any kernel manager apps at all, as I haven't been able to add and customisation to it just it. It may panic because it's reaching for something it doesn't have
No reboots here either,
Im running the latest official Lineage .
if u have kernel mod or any other kernel tuner installed try to go back to your basic settings or just delete the app and install it again after your first boot.
Really smooth kernel !
Hi... Can you had the savoca Patch to use with Wheatstone.apk? Can use my phone without it
