No.only one face.but realme claims that only one face is recognized but multiple is not supported by chipset ie.. mediatek.

No it was not sppo is not allowing us to enroll multiple faces because it increase unlock time,i.e.
0.1 seconds.

Fingerprint sensor support

My understanding is that prior to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, OEMs had to add custom code to support a fingerprint sensor. I'm assuming that LG's support code would be different/incompatible with Samsung.
So, I think until the V10 gets updated to Marshmallow, the fingerprint sensor will only be usable to unlock the device, and to lock content in LG Gallery and LG QuickMemo+.
Does anyone know any different?

I set it up for the PayPal app without any issues. Haven't tried with anything else yet.

Interesting. LastPass shows the fingerprint unlock as unsupported, so I assumed that would hold true for all third party apps.
LastPass got back to me... apparently LG does not currently have a public SDK for their custom fingerprint support, hence why LastPass does not support it. Either LG needs to make their SDK public, or we wait for Marshmallow.
I guess LG must have reached out to PayPal and given them access to the SDK, in order for their app to support it.

Screen Lock on Oreo for Huawei

Hello,
For Huawei P9 Lite there was a hidden activity that could lock the phone and maintain it unlockable with fingerprint. This activity is now gone on the P20 Lite and I'm searching for a trick to obtain the same result (without rooting).
Any suggestion?
Thanks

Have you checked up if Nova launcher (if you have it installed) have the "doubletap2wake" option on? When I used that on my p10, I obtained the same issue
"Huawei Home" has a "Screen lock" widget that is working as expected, can you help me discover what activity it launches? QuickShortcutMaker is not helping.

Can't you use faceID for banking authentication?

I was under the impression that on Android pie Google would allow all biometrics as options to login to apps instead of fingerprint only.
Is anyone successful with this?
I'm guessing no as face recognition isn't very secure.
Having said that I use the fingerprint sensor.

This is not the standard face recognition that most android phones use. This is with a dot projector and infrared light like the iPhone X models
I think it requires 3rd party developers to implement. Can't really see this happening as only a few phones have the 3d face scanning built in. I mean I think even Huawei doesn't have any apps that uses this technology i.e vault or secure notes.

I haven't tried my banking app yet but google pay uses it.
It is also just as secure as fingerprint and as secure as iphone.

It was just my understanding that Google implemented it for Pie the same way as for iOS. The apps for ios is just coded for biometric. No need to specify if it should be faceID or an older touchid phone.
So the apps should just ask for biometric authentication and therefor it should use whatever I has active.
The app developer would need to code it for FaceID, both my banking apps have settings within the app to use fingerprint login, there would be a setting required to provide faceID login likewise. The same also applies to my phone carriers usage meter, they have only just modified it for fingerprint login.
Sent from my HUAWEI LYA-L09 using XDA Labs
There is currently no Android standard for face unlock so using it as an identification for banking apps or making payments would be very insecure. Different Android phones currently use different methods to implement face unlock and some of those methods can be bypassed with a photograph.

Disabling GNSS duty cycle

Hi, I need to turn of the duty cycling of the GNSS (GPS) chip on my mate 20 pro. I was under the impression that it should be an option in the developer settings in Android Pie, as it is in other phones, but there is no such option for Mate 20 Pro.
Does anyone know why and better yet how to solve it? I must turn off the duty cycling for my research project. Thanks!
hey do you find the way to turn off?

Huawei P30 Pro EMUI 9.1
Hello did you find a solution to your problem? I am an owner of the Huawei P30 Pro with the latest release of EMUI 9.1. I can’t find how to disable the duty circle on GNSS raw data measurement (there is no option under the android developer settings on my Huawei Device). In some smartphones duty circle can automatically disabled when you call android GNSS raw data API. Does the Huawei supports this feature or we can not disable duty circle on Huawei smartphones at all? Thanking you in advance.

hello I communicated with the engineer of huawei only to know the EMUI doesnt support disabling the duty cycle. Are you trying to use the carrier-phase for RTK or PPP ?
Duty Cycle
Yes I am trying to develop an app using the kernel of the RTKLIB open source library for PPP and RTK purposes. I have already tested this with XIAOMI MI8. I am also interesting in buying the new Xiaomi Mi 9 with Qualcomm 855 in build gps chip. Did you ever test the Xiaomi Mi phones? I also have already test the mate 20 pro for dual frequency carrier phase measurement. In order to implement the L5 frequency on this model, you have to update to EMUI 9.1. But this issue with duty cycle is critical so I can not support this model also with the P30 Pro.

I dont have access to XiaoMi 8. Would you please send me a Rinex file made by xiaomi 8 ? Thank you.
Xiaomi Mi 8 Rinex File
Yes for sure. Here is a link with a Rinex File from Xiaomi Mi 8 that i have recorded today with Rinex On App.

Hello,
I know, it's an old post !
Finally, is there a way to avoid duty cycling on P30 and othe huawai phones ?

Face Scan and Google Pay

Hey!
I'm a big fan of Google Pay and use it everywhere I can with my Mate 20 Pro. Unfortunatley Huaweis 3D Face Scan is not yet accepted by Google as a valid und secure unlock method. For larger payments
I have to use my fingerprint or code. Do you guys know if this will change in the future since the Pixel 4 now uses a similar unlock method which works with Google Pay in Android 10?
I was about to ask a similar question. Does anybody know if the face unlock on the mate 20 pro will hook into the new android 10 biometric unlocking?
