ESR range of cases are my favourite. - Huawei P20 Pro Accessories

I know... I've never heard of them either, but dang am I impressed. So I'm only gonna share images of my current favourite from their range, which is the tempered glass back transparent case. Now this case provides a truly premium look and feel to the device, showing off the twilight colour variant the most being completely transparent on the back with a sheet of very smooth glass for that high quality feel. It is seamlessly fused into the rest of the case which is a grippy tpu type material, round all sides of the device. The cameras are recessed by a maximum of 1mm or less. It is recessed and then four corners of the case on the back are slightly raised for further clearance. So a total of 2mm clearance for the cameras.
The lip on the front is too minimal but I have a TGSP on there and the lip is flush with the TGSP, in terms of clearance. This is an aesthetic strength for me as the case is remarkably minimal compared to other cases of this choice of material and design. The sides are not so thick that it alters the grip your hand is used to when handling the phone naked, unlike most cases.
Ultimately, the case makes it feel as though your handling another phone of slightly greater thickness, resulting from that cold smooth touch front and back of the device owing to the glass there. A very classy case indeed!
I thoroughly recommend their OTHER soft matte smooth flexi case https://www.amazon.co.uk/ESR-Huawei...=1532884109&sr=8-6&keywords=esr+p20+pro+case. That case feels really natural to the touch due to that soft touch finish. It is very minimal, contrary to other cases that go with a similar finish. It is the lowest profile case I used for this device, IN THIS MATERIAL. It repels fingerprints well, too. Even this 'more typical' case has a white grid finish in the inside. It's their attention to detail that stands out.

Doesn't seem much different to the hybrid from spigen or other similar cases no?

I found the hybrid and similar cases to be a lot bulkier. Plus, they don't come with a glass back.

What do you think of their tempered glass?
It says that ir covers everything so I don't know if it is full glue and if it is case friendly

I meant the one from ESR.
I have tried the one from spigen but it seems like the oleophobic doesn't last too long.

ESR doesn't supply a TGSP for the display. Their case has glass on the back, not for the front of the display but the back of the case.
I used Spigen and it had halo effect for me. I now use G Color, with nearly no halo at all and good oleophobic coating. I have used Klearlook too, which were the best in my opinion. The problem with Klearlook was they were maximum coverage which is good for only very few cases out there. Otherwise, they are my recommendation. G Color works fine for me too.

Yes they do. In most Amazon stores at least, maybe not in the US though. https://www.amazon.co.uk/ESR-Protector-Tempered-Coverage-Resistant/dp/B07BRKCDCW

Ah I remember their one now. I didn't buy it based on the poor reviews. I'm happy with G Color because I seem to always get halo from other brands (besides Klearlook, which had no halo but didn't fit well with cases as it was a full coverage glass panel.)

G color is very nice. The problem is that it has 2 black bands that cover a bit of the screen. Do you know if you bought the old or the new case friendly version?
I got the new version and I would like to know if the old version maybe works with esr and doesn't have those lines

Please explain the two black bands... I don't understand.

The full body screen protectors cover the side and top very well with black borders. I think that's what he's talking about.
And I would love to know if the esr screen protector works with the ears cases.
Because I have a full body screen protector myself and was going to buy the esr cases but wanted to know if the full body screen protector with the borders will work for this case.
Thanks in advance

tempered glass screen protectors?

Anyone got a favorite yet? My favorite ebay seller has gone defunct. Many seem to only sell the front and dont have proper cutout holes as well.
i got mine from: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0152H8868?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00
really good, no complaints.
Also bought the following for a back screen protector but not tempered and rubbish imo:

Mine from amazon but not cover fully screen
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0168L5MBQ?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00
Just a hair smaller than the screen. Front and back glass, cutouts are spot on. I use a bumper, and it works perfectly with these. I don't expect them to last forever, and the fingerprint resistance is nonexistant.
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/272036276148?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&var=570849538218&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
I got this one from ebay, Nillkin is pretty decent for tempered glass, but it did take a month to ship to Canada.
I ended up getting one of those Pthink ones and it is definitely good. I wish they would make a back piece too, still searching for the right one.
I got a Stilgut from Amazon and I like it. Covers front and back. Comes with two year warranty.
Do not buy either of these two:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0158SZEW2?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00 CaseBase
This one is 2 or 3mm smaller than the screen on every side, pathetic really.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0176NDGKE?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00 Wunderglass
This one has both front and back, but not an exact fit. Two down sides of this one is the corners and not curved enough and it is short by 2mm top to bottom and right to left.
I've received and put on the back glass from Aomax, and it is a step below in quality of the pthink which I have on the front. I have another set from Rhidon here but won't be testing that until one of these cracks or breaks on me.
Orzly make a very good high quality one with oilophobic coating too!
I just fitted the PThink glass front and have to say it is by far the best one I have seen. The size is almost perfect, pretty close to an exact fit, just half a millimetre short on one side which is hardly a big deal.
I purchased three different brands from China, when they arrive I will compare them and let you guys know.
I got this one: roxfit
Love it! :good:
Update: my aomax back piece is already scratched to hell and back and has developed some chips. The Pthink front glass is still mostly perfect with a few scratches. Still has a good oleophobic coating which I am surprised about.
I opened the Rhidon package today intending to replace the back piece - man is the glass on this one thin! The back piece I'm not even sure if it is glass or plastic it feels so flimsy. It does have two separate hole cutouts for the lens/flash instead of the single teardrop cutout of the aomax though which I like a lot better.
Followed your recommendation and bought the Orzly. Fit was perfect; no bubbles and definitely a nicer glide under the finger.
Orzly haverá front and back glass protector?

Check out Nillkin. It doesn't cover the whole screen, but it doesn't leave a huge gap either.

I see the Spigen but know they scratch real easy. Any other film protectors that are case friendly and halo free?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/152055375063
It has a perfect edge to edge fit, no rubber feeling and works well with a case (if it mounted correct). I did a wet install of mine and got it perfect,so perfect you really can't tell it's there.
Have been using mine for about a week now and it's still has no scratch marks , it feels hard.

The demo shows a standard tempered glass screen protector being glued in onto the Gorilla Glass of the ZXP. Looks great and all, but how would you remove it if you damaged the screen protector only? Wouldn't glueing the screen protector on permanently make the replaceable protector sort of redundant?
I am all for a great fit screen protector but this does seam a little silly to me.
Seems like they have demo videos of the removal - http://www.sgfreshidea.com/mobile-p...e-will-it-affect-your-oleophobic-coating.html
yes but please note that we do not use the standard 1000 glue or 2500 you can get on Aliexpress as those glue are extremely hard to remove.

Hi @whiteangelcl
How does this type of screen protect differ from the full adhesive tempered glass that you have with the coloured edges?
If I were to order it, do I need the special equipment that you have used during the "curing" process?
I tried so many screen protectors so far and they've all been terrible!
The full adhesive ones didn't cover the entire screens and the ones that covered the entire screen were not full adhesive.
If the screen protectors you have are able to provide full protection without affecting the colour accuracy or the clarity of the 4k display then I will buy it immediately
I hope that you can ship to England.

Hi thanks for checking. The main difference is that those with the colored edges will block the color of the top and bottom portion of the phone and the edges on the right and left will cut off the display slightly.
This retail version will be launched in a weeks time and it comes with the full set of equipment necessary to complete the job.
It does cover the screen fully and also does not impact the color.
We do ship to England but the retail version is not out yet.
Will keep you posted.

Based on the video, you guys are in Singapore right?
Also, is there a choice of the actual screen protector used? The one in the demo video has cutouts that seem a little "off" (not perfectly centered around the lens and sensor which triggers my OCD) and an extra hole for the notification light.

Hi yes we are from Singapore. There is only 1 type of tempered glass sad to say. There is a small dot at the notification light.
When we were pasting it, the alignment seems to be correct. Perhaps it is a camera angle issue.

Does this protector lessen the screen quality in anyway? My current protector im using is one of those plastic ones that stretch if you try to strech it. My issue with it is that it creates a rainbow effect when the brightness is high perhaps due to the sticky/glue on it. Does this do that or is it 100% clear to the point where it feels as if I dont have a protector on? Thanks
Hi thanks for asking no it does not lessen the quality in anyway. It is using LOCA to adhere the tempered glass to the display and LOCA is Liquid Optically Clear Adhesive.
It is a piece of tempered glass and due to the adhesive in the middle, there will be no rainbow effect even when the brightness is high.
It does add some thickness to the phone though as it is still a piece of additional tempered glass on top of your display but not to the extent that it becomes very thick.

Let me tell you the downside. As it is a LOCA based tempered glass, it requires a slightly higher patience level and it is more difficult than pasting a normal protector onto the phone.

I've got this one:
https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07HGXWTW8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
But when using gestures like swiping from the edge of the screen it feels sharp and unpleasant because I think it's just a little to small.
Do imak or nillkin have the same sharp edges or are these better and won't they annoye when swiping from the edge?
thanks

I bought Imak for multiple devices and they always have nice smooth round edges.

Got above to my phone.. Easy to install. Really good fit and blends in seamlessly. Recommending to have a case on when installing
I always use ESR brand. You can find it on Aliexpress.
Every ESR glass has blue bumper, plastic frame. You put it on the assembly moment and the glass fits perfectly without the slightest problem. After assembly, you just take it off.
Edges are soft and overall quality of this glass is great in my opinion.

Does the glass have the speaker and led cutout like shown on the pictures because i'm using Nillkin Amazing H+Pro 9H 0.2mm 2.5D and these also show cutouts but in real life there are none. Does the black bezel cover a part of the amoled display?

[REQUEST] Leather Case

Looking for a bumper style, fully covering leather case.
Found this but it doesn't offer complete lip protection and is, as of now, discontinued.
Any suggestions?

I have the krussel case, overall I am not impressed. The leather feels cheap, the corners on the front are starting to peel and overall feel is mediocre at best. Is it worth the 30 bucks? Short answer is no
I have been searching for a genuine leather case (as per request) as well. If anyone has any ideas on how to get one, it would really help.
Suggestion...maybe a Dbrand Grip case with a leather skin on the back.
