How to uninstall

Good afternoon. I am also a delighted owner of xperia s but I have some problems.
I don't know the way to uninstall applications. For example in the folder setting/account settings and sync I have facebook and gmail. How can I uninstall these? And specifically in the facebook acoount there is an option about picassa sync.I want to remove it but there is no way.
On my previous galaxy s there was a folder where there were all the applications and there was a button " uninstall " next to each app.
Also i can't free up my memory. How can I do this?? Please help.

1. Pre-installed applications are not always uninstallable - this is on Samsung too. However, just like on all Android devices, you can go Settings -> Applications -> Manage applications and uninstall what can be uninstalled.
2. Free up your memory? Which one? RAM, local etc? The Xperia S has more than enough of internal memory and RAM, I'm not sure what issue you are having unless you were so limited by the Samsung that you are now paranoid.
Thanks
Thanks for the help
I second that.. And you also can uninstall applications from the applications menu.. Just click on the right bottom icon and you can see which applications that can be uninstalled with X marked on them.. Click on them and it'll ask you if you want to uninstall.. This is easier that going to settings every time

Thank you all. As for the memory, I don't have any problem but I would like to know how we can free up the memory.Does anyone know how??
Also what about the picasa web album sync? How can I deactivate it on my gmail account?
to stop picassa you need to go to the "Google+" app log in then go to photos once that opens press the options hot key and go to settings, scroll down and un check automatic uploads.

I did what you say but the option picasa sync still exists on my gmail account. I want to remove this option.Somewhere in this forum I read that you can remove it so that it does't consume battery.

BLOCK/DISCONNECT Facebook/Messenger

Hey, here is my problem:
Facebook and Messenger are always turned on in the background and whenever I connect to the internet I appear online on FB.
Sometimes I want to use the internet without appearing on facebook and receiving messages. I know that I can use the log out option in both FB and Messenger but than I need to re-enter password and re-login with all those questions about syncing my device with FB. I am looking for a solution. Something like 1 button widget that disables/enables facebook in no time. I tried using some firewalls but they took long to work and when I wanted to turn back FB on I had to restart my device.
Any ideas?

I've figured it out. Uninstall Facebook and whatsapp. Restart device. install both applications from play store only. After that login and greenify and then try whether notifications are working. mine is working now.
just not hibernating automatically.

Uninstall facebook totally

Anyone know how to totally uninstall facebook and install 3rd party Facebook??
You need to be rooted to uninstall it completely as there are few services of Facebook installed as system app asides from Facebook app itself.

Use titanium backup too filter. Type facebook. It will show you all apps related to Facebook. Uninstall them and use "tinfoil for Facebook" it's way more better then Facebook app and it gives you more control over privacy options.

I am not getting this issue with my Realme XT,, May it's your Facebook API problem with imperfect installation or your account problem or may be network issue, try to uninstall and install or do the reset if you need.
