Remotely accessing Redmi 5? - Xiaomi Redmi 5 Questions & Answers

Hi, my father owns a Redmi 5 and every so often he requires my help in troubleshooting. I am not physically present there and so I would like to know of an application that can help me gain remote access to my Dad's phone. Please suggest me if you know of some such app.

[Q] Restric privileges on the tablet for other users

Hi everyone! First of all sorry for my english, second, I'm here because I've a big problem.
I need to lend some tablets to some friends for testing an app. The problem is that I don't complete trust in them (or they are too smart or they aren't very familiar with digital products), so I'm afraid that they can make some trouble voluntarily or not.
I'm searching for something that can block the access to determinate applications of the tablet (for example: phone, settings or other installed apps) and the install of new app. Something like a limited user of the tablet, that allowed you to running only some default apps.
I've tried to test some apps that allow you to open the app just by entering a code or a sequence, but they aren't very safe. I always find a way to bypass them. Moreover this type of application don't block the install of new app.
Do you have any solution? What can I do to create this sort of "Limited User"?
Thanks to everyone
You could try the app called "SwitchMe". It should be able to help.

Help me buy a new SmartTV

Hello Guys,
I want to buy a new SmartTV. I am currently confused between two TVs:
Samsung UA55ES8000
LG 55LM7610
My questions are:
1- Are any of these considered Google TVs? Do they run Android or what kind of Operating System?
2- Samsung has Samsung App Store (which is an app store specifically created for/by Samsung)
LG has an App store, which store is it ? Is it the Play store?
3- Does Skype work on both TVs without paying (like Skype for mobile phones)? or does it need a specific subscription or something?
And in the end, I want your advice please. I prefer Samsung because it has a built in cam, while LG seems interesting because it is much cheaper.
Any advice will be much appreciated.
Thanks a lot

Restricted Access on Samsung S6

Good day guys,
I have a client that requires the following and I was hoping that you guys can please offer some advise.
They are currently using the Samsung Galaxy S6 (SM-G920V) they want us to setup all phones in the following manner:
When phone boots up it needs to automatically open up a specific application, the users should only be able to use the app and only be able to use Camera, Google Maps and SMS function.
Users are not allowed to use any other functions on the phone except for above mentioned applications.
So my question is, will I require a newly created custom rom or is there a way to get this done with out any development?
Thanks in advance for your feedback, it is highly appreciated.

Redmi Note 3 Pro Special Edition (Kate) unable to add Google Family children account

I'm having issue trying to reset my device to use Google Parental controls (Google Family Link) - doesn't seems to allow me to add children even though the device meet the requirements.
Currently using Pixel Experience 8.1 ROM, but I tried Lineage OS 14, as well as MIUI 8.2.1.
It seems to complain that Update is required and please try again.
Anyone having similar issue?
Bump. No help guys?

Google pay and/or Samsung pay with Root

So I currently have a Tmobile Note 8 that I just found out that rooting it will prevent me from installing apps like bank apps and using samsung pay. I also have an At&t Note 10 plus for work but I dont want to root it as if something happens how will I explain it to my boss lol. So being that my Note 8 is 3 years old I decided that it's time to upgrade to a new phone. My question is what phone can I buy that I will still be able to install bank apps and keep using google or samsung pay. I'm open to any suggestions
Thank you
David
these guidelines will help
--- find out if rooting is easily available for the phone
--- take a look at extant ROMs and see what are the problems associated with those ... in the latest update and how easy it is to fix them or else live with them
--- broader the user base better it is find support available for various issues
--- coming to your question on banking apps it has nothing to do with what phone you want to buy
if you root that phone and the banking app has various checks and balances to detect root you may not be able to use it. with passage of time banking apps are clamping down on root detection and unfortunately Evasive measures are not sufficient so those fighting for root and wanting to use banking apps ... are on the losing side
