How to uninstall twrp from my device? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I bought the Xiaumi mi Max 3 and installed trwp on it to be able to root it. How can I uninstall twrp? I don't want my device to be vulnerable.
Can someone tell me how to undo this step?
But the root access should persist

1- upgrade to lollipop custom rom b322
2-Install twrp? (do i need root to install it?)
3-Root it from twrp? (How do i do that?)

You don't need to root Lollipop to install a custom ROM. In case you just want to root lollipop, download the super user zip file. Just google it. Launch TWRP and install the zip file. That's all.

I have been trying this method but doesn't seems to work, I already changed the name of the twrp img file but nothing :crying: any suggests?
You need to tell it where the file is located, the easiest way to do this is to put the TWRP file in a folder and then hold down the shift key and right click with your mouse inside the folder you put the file in. You should see an option to open command window here. Select this and try flashing TWRP again. It should work. Here is an explanation with pictures of what I was talking about with the open command window here http://michaelcrump.net/power-tip-for-windows-users-open-command-prompt-here/

Root Wiko View3, grab boot.img

Hi there!
I want to root my Wiko View3. It‘s a mtk device with MT6762. Is there any way to grab the boot.img? I already unlocked the bootloader. It runs with Android 9. I can‘t find any TWRP Custom Recovery for this device. Or how can I get the scatter file?
Anyone found a solution to root the View 3 (Lite)?
Is there no way to root this device? Is it currently unrootable?
I think you can grab boot.img using fastboot and patch it manually.

I already know these threads. The instructions in the first thread only work for the Wiko View Version 1, not for the Wiko View 3. Also the mentioned TinnoEngineerMode in the second thread doesn't work for the Wiko View 3.

Try kingroot or kingo root, whatever its called. Your phone seems to be unpopular, that's why I think those applications will work. After that just install kingroot to SuperSU and grab the boot.img using root. Then unroot your phone, download magisk manager, install it, patch the boot.img then flash it via fastboot.
I've tried kingoroot, King Root, framaroot and towel Root, without success.
This device is just very new. It just came to the Market.

There is also some shorter ways to do the same, for example this app at LG 10 forums...

This less stable temp root should make that partition dump an easy task.

HD1913 magisk root or twrp root.

Hi. I want to root My OP7T Pro. Im on 10.0.11.hd01ba software. I have tried some guides here but ended up in bootloops. Most of the guides here is written for the AA global software not the BA European software. I wonder if there is someone who has succesfully rooted this device and/or managed to install twrp. And if there is a working patched boot.img flying around here?.
Thanks in advance.

You really should "pull" your own boot.img from your own device instead of using what others have posted to avoid potential headaches.

I'm not disagreeing with you there.
My comment more comes from my opinion that many XDA users are relatively new and can't for the life of everyone read and read some more (or follow directions for that matter). There's a good chance they end up downloading the wrong file and getting into a mess.

I agree with what you said here, that's why in this situation, I show him how to flash first, then if the user shows interest, I will obviously show how can he make ALL the process for himself.
I've seen to many junior members reading all the "hard work" and just saying "F*** this, I will just try to find automated way..."

Could be Magisk module(s) related...
I prefer booting TWRP and doing an adb pull of the boot.img instead of using Payload Dumper

I am on QPMS30.80-51-3, but I cannot locate that file. There is XT2041-4_SOFIA_RETUS_10_QPMS30.80-109-5 file available. Someone was saying I could use any A10 boot.img to root with magisk, is this true? I am just checking before I do anything. If I use rescue tool it wants to upgrade to A11

It could, it seems a newer version than what you actually have, check the build/release dates.
