FAQ:
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look in the OP to see if your device is built on a nightly or weekly schedule.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels?
A. No. You can still use them, but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP, custom ROM's modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROM's. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports.
Q. Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A. You will need to use the version arm64/arm/whatever for SDK 27.
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the install instructions in the first post...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, however make a nandroid backup first as there is a chance of getting a bootloop or encountering bugs. Also bugs may only be reported on a clean flash.
Q. How do I dirty flash builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to preform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot", then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to loose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to loose root. Now swipe to flash, and then reboot.
Using the ROM:
Q. I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A. In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip that's in the substratum folder on the internal storage.
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. and do not post the content here. Thanks.
Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android. You don't need to install any Add-on's, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
- Backup your personal data (Important)
- Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
- Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
- Wipe the System, Cache, Data and ART/Dalvik cache.
- Flash the ROM + Gapps Zipfile.
- Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
- Reboot your device.
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
The root solution should be flashed together with every update (= ROM Update)
Currently Supported Root Solutions:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions higher than 14.0 doesn't require flash on every dirty flash depending on the device, some devices need you to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise it should be fine

Good evening,
There must be a gap between the last O and one of the first P
My opinion is that you have to try, it rewards and encourages the person who has spent a lot of time trying to give the best of himself in this realization
So my answer, try

Just installed this ROM. Big up to the devs for bringing Pie to our bacon )
I am having trouble with the build.prop patching zip though.
Never mind, you can disable the software buttons by addin the line "qemu.hw.mainkeys=1" to build.prop.

when flashing the rom it is flashing with gapps pkg too which is giving me error in installation!

Works great. Is there a way to use the navigation pill?

Something in this ROM, (or actually @Agent_fabulous ROM) is causing abysmal Wi-Fi speeds.

See adaptive battery is a pixel exclusive feature but can be get by an overlay ... I'll add that animation too but for now adaptive battery is under Battery management in Battery section... Only diff is animation isn't present here

One of the two supplied zips gave a message while flashing that it's use is to disable the software keys. That didn't work, so I disabled it manually in build.prop. Not a big issue. Have to say though, this ROM is running smoothly with no major battery drainage

Couldn't get root access even with Magisk 16.7 or SuperSU. Any luck for others?

When I'm near the WiFi router and signal is decent, speeds are up to par with Oreo, but when the signal drops WiFi is indeed very unstable and slow.

Open Gapps? Which one? Platform? There is no for Android 9

any screenshots share please thanks

smooth rom, good for daily driver. suggest to dev, adding advanced reboot at QS make perfect for this rom.
This rom remember me to aex, smooth, good sound output, fast and stable. amazing work for dev.
Great Job
I have to say that this is a great ROM, it reminds me to LineageOS, it's the purest ROM I've ever seen.
I just find to my surprise one problem, and it's the QS rows and columns, 'cause 3x2 is not that pretty, I know it's not that important, but it will be awesome if is 3x3 or 5x3, that's it, is the only bad thing that I personally find.
Keep the amazing work
Thanks, Professional_Guider! Can I remap hardware buttons in this rom?
very simple rom, no features like RR or AOSP extended.
By the way thanks to dev, make one rom perfect for users, please don't take it serious, it's upto you to make one rom perfect or not.(i m not suggesting you.)

How is the battery life in this rom. Also..... Screenshots? Also does this rom work well with normal k5? Thanks.
Very good ROM, but some customization would come in handy.
I really like the buttons customization, i like to have the long press back button option to kill apps and the long press recents to open Config.
Center the Clock would be a nice adittion.
Any way, great job, and thank you for the ROM.
Waiting for OTAS.

Great job. I am not listing any "this or that not working" here as it is marked beta except the "...an internal problem" message on boot-up. Nice to see an alternate to 'shiva's AOSP Extended V6.0 (X2). On a separate note I am glad to see a base ROM without a "forced on" browser. KiU.
I'm not being able to instal the rom, give me "zip treble compatibiliy error!. Invalid zip file format!" error, but i have a treble TWRP =/
Good job on this ROM. Very snappy. Uses performance as CPU governor though so always on highest CPU speed all the time.

I had to change the partitions to EXT4, and everything worked out, it is incredible the fluidity of this rom, very fast.

That's why they call it "building" roms! It's very smooth and fluid, it'll be nice to see the progression. I like SmartBar and haven't really adopted "the pill" yet, so that will be a great add! Cheers

Same thing lol. Make sure you have a PIN or some device locking set up, then you need to allow it by going to Settings > Security > Advanced > Trust Agents and enabling Smart Lock (Google). Then, face unlock becomes available.
Hey there!
I know that this may sound like a silly question but I have been out of the flashing game for a couple of years now so I am a bit cautious. I am on OOS 5.1.7 (no root or custom recovery yet), after flashing twrp will this be a problem when flashing the rom?
Additionally can I also flash SuperSU instead of magisk for root access?
Thank you

Uhhhh... lol Are you bootloader unlocked? If not, it will wipe your device. I'd suggest reading up on the process before diving in.
As far as SuperSU... I wouldn't. It was sold off to some Chinese company a while back... Magisk 17.3 is available and recommended if you want to root. You can use the Magisk app to not only manage root access but to hide root from certain apps (Android Pay, for example).
This ROM is nearly flawless. VoLTE works, SafetyNet pass with Magisk. There's some minor stutter here and there and for some reason I can't see Trusted Face in Smart Lock even after installing a full gApps package.
Also, is there a custom kernel available to use with Pie?
Hi! Nice Rom, I have a bug with volume buttons. Sometimes when I press up button or down button only change 1 value and when I press again change -1. I don't know why. Best regards

Lol you don't blame the ROM if it doesn't boot on MultiROM, I actually thought it wasnt working on as primary, and a lot would stay away because you said it's not booting with specifiying that it's on MultiROM

- Flash vendor (beryllium-9.2.25-9.0-vendor-firmware.zip)
- Flash the ROM + Gapps Zipfile.
- Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
- Reboot your device.
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
The root solution should be flashed together with every update (= ROM Update)
Currently Supported Root Solutions:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions higher than 14.0 doesn't require flash on every dirty flash depending on the device, some devices need you to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise it should be fine

GApps:
Unofficial OpenGApps
OpenGApps
calls might start out on speaker. i have seen this issue on other roms and will be looking for a way to fix it soon!

sure bro I appreciate your hard work you put to this ROM, amazing work dear! have a good night bro
this ROM is soooo good and blazing fast, buttery smooth and good number of customization. I also love the way you put the customization in the settings like its a default stock rom (idk how to say it, its no like other custom roms that put the customization in one place and it didnt look natural idk) the only bug I found was ;
1. waking up from lockscreen took sometime.
2. the notch items didnt line up. (the battery and clock is pushed wayy to the side.
keep updating this beautiful ROM !!!
soft fast scrolling very good despite having a minimalist personalization is really excellent ... on the other hand the unlock by fingerprint fails and facial recognition does not work, you can not access the memory card, in general lines it looks very good
Great work
