What's the country of manufacturer, Latin American or Hong Kong? If it's Latin America, maybe. If it's Hong Kong, no.

Yes, the SM-G9650/DS is the model that Samsung is selling in Latin American countries, it has the SD845 and Dual-Sim with SD Card slot.
I also have this device in Ecuador and LTE works.

Unlocked Vodafone Galaxy S6 EDGE LTE Bands

I am able to buy a Vodafone Galaxy S6 Edge Green (activated and sim unlocked) from Germany. I believe the model number should be SM-G925FZGFVD2 but the online store gives this model number: 00301111 and EAN: 8806086935906
http://www.sotel.de/samsung-galaxy-...rün-ohne-simlock-ohne-vertrag--p-269642.html
There is also an unbranded model which is out of stock: SM-G925FZGEDBT
I know that SM-G925FZGEDBT supports all the LTE bands we have in Hong KOng.
In Hong Kong the LTE bands supported are 900mhz, 1800mhz and 2600mhz
However, Vodafone ( SM-G925FZGFVD2 / EAN: 8806086935906) supports 1800mhz.
My question is if the phone is unlocked and can be used in any country will the phone work in 2600mhz also along with 1800mhz when I use in Hong Kong?
Just wondering if the Vodafone Galaxy S6 Edge is unlocked then it should support the same bands as the unbranded model in Germany right?
This is the first time I will be buying an unlocked phone from overseas so I have no prior experience. Can anyone shed some light or experience in this matter?
Thanks.

How to know if a phone is unlocked

I am wanting to buy a phone off amazon.co.uk and i am in ireland. The listing is 'Honor 7 4G UK Dual SIM-Free Smartphone' . So even though it says its sim free it also said 'UK' so does this mean its only usable in uk and not ireland or does in work on any network
Hello,
Welcome to XDA.
Your thread will be moved to your device forum. The experts there may be able to help. Good luck.

It is sim free and it works on any network, limited only with supported frequencies. In Ireland and other EU countries there is no limit.

G9650 Dual Sim from Caribbean - Snapdragon

I have a dualism snapdragon S9+ - can I flash the tmobile USA firmware on that device using ODIN or will it break it?
just curious, G9650 is supposed to be the dual sim SD variant for HK/China that has the larger storage options. How did you end up with one from Caribbean?
I have the same question.
At first, both of them have exactly the same hardware except for the dual sim card on G9650.
At second when I had the galaxy s7 dual sim, I installed many firmwares from single sim and it worked perfect.
Well, lets wait for someone to tell us for sure.

Samsung only manufactures smartphones in Vietnam, China, India, Brazil, Indonesia, and Korea. The SM-G9650 is manufactured in China and Brazil, both Snapdragon chipsets. Likely brought it in the Caribbean but made in Brazil.
The Caribbean is part of Latin American market. Latin America and China officially got these handsets, as it was confirmed that Latin America was also getting the Snapdragon processor and not the international Exynos. So it is officially released for the Caribbean market as well.

S9/S9+, Canadian software to the United States software

I have a Samsung S9+ I currently use that I bought and Canada and now recently moved to the states. I have been trying to see if I could either flash the firmware or just change providers to the United States one. The model number is SM-G965W for the s9+ and the s9 is SM-G960W they both are unlocked in Canada but they don't work in the states. I was wondering if there is a guide or if some one could help me. Thanks so much!
