Rollback on emui 8 to 5.1? - Honor 9 Questions & Answers

Hi fellow trying to get my emui 5.1 downloaded stock B183 emui 5.1 rollback I put it in dload -> update.app and it gives me software failder why not get it?

The rollback you downloaded is not meant to be used in firmware mode (dload).
It could be used whith HuRUpdater on a phone with unlocked bootloader.

As far as I know, HiSuite method is broken since EMUI 5.0.
I did according this http://ministryofsolutions.com/2017...on-l29-oreo-firmware-emui-8-asia-pacific.html instructions.
Version for C432 doesn't work.
Any Update on Mate 9 MHA-L00 Android 8 update
I have Mate 9 MHA-L00 running android 7 emui 5.01, I would be grateful to receive the Oreo 8 update too. Thanks in advance
This is the thread for Mate 9 PRO, not Mate 9. For Mate 9 go here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/ma...-oreo-update-emui-8-0-download-t3698229/page3
If you install it I think there is no way to downgrade it to EMUI 5.0 version. I tried several methods after learning it as beta version but couldn't succeed. You can't install TWRP again so HWOTA won't work. Need a suitable TWRP file to downgrade.
At Mate 9 page there were a new HWOTA8 method to downgrade or reinstall. But there is nothing for Mate 9 Pro. Waiting patiently...

Just to confirm that Method 1 is working nicely, I got some problems during the update because I forgot to rename the files properly, but everything else was smoothtly.
I just had to lock bootloader again after installing the beta because I didn't like the message from the beginning.
On first reboot, I was looking settings, playing with Google Assistant and so on, and then I relocked bootloader to start a new fresh install.
No problems so far.

How to go back from EMUI 8.0 rooted to 5.1 stock?

Hi everyone! I have rooted and unlocked my H9 STF-L09, i find it ok i guess, but i really miss the EMUI 5.1 days... I just think that was better.
So i'm asking you, is there a way to go fully back to stock Nougat, maybe with locked bootloader?
Thank you for your attention.
If you are rooted, your bootloader's actually unlocked.
So, because you're on oreo, you could use HuRUpdater to downgrade to a nougat firmware.
I'll test C432B184 rollback packages, if C432 is your actual region, as this version is the latest nougat build released for honor9 :
Code:
C432B184 rollback packages:

Honor 10 EMUI9 update by firmware finder COL-L2-C432E4R1P9B159 WITH UNLOCK BOOTLOADER

Hello all,
I have a quastion any chance to update phone with COL-L2-C432E4R1P9B159? I have emui 8.1 v151 and unlocked bootloader and twrp.
First of all, I haven't tried it yet as well.
But shouldn't the update be like any other update?
I has performed the last updates with the HuRupdater and the instructions in https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/development/tool-flash-official-firmware-recovery-t3769279
which worked for me well.
I don't give any advice, but maybe this works with EMUI 9 as well.
I have the middle east version. I just tried to update it with hurupdater and everything went perfectly I'm running android pie now without any problems

Is the Bootloader unlockable after downgrade to Oreo?

I bought a Mate 10 second hand that was running Emui 9.0.*
I downgraded to Oreo using the Hisuite method.
Now it is running EMUI ALP-L09 8.0.0.153(C432)
Android security patch is 1 October 2018
Is it still possible to either unlock the bootloader or root this version?
Thanks
Hi OP, how did you manage to downgrade to 8.0.0? With Hisuite I could only downgrade the system to 8.1.0.351. Hisuite is ver. 9.0.2.301

Update to EMUI 9 Using Firmware Finder

Hi, I am using Huawei p20 lite with the build number ANE-LX2C636 and I have been stuck with EMUI 8 for years now and I want to update it to 9 using Firmware Finder, the question is which update should I choose from the list (I know how to check if the update is compatible with my device) since there is a lot and my Android version is very old, should I just install every compatible update starting from the bottom or what?
Thank you guys for your help.

Over the course of one month I've tried everything you said two times each, I even contacted Huawei local costumer service and they replied and I quote: "Judging by your IMEI number it doesn't appear that you have a Huawei device at the first place, that is why you don't get updates", so yeah, the phone that I've purchased from an official vendor with a relatively higher price than the free market isn't even registered.
Note: yesterday I tried to download a FullOTA ANE-LX2 EMUI 9.0. update via Firmware Finder and the download unfortunately failed.

FF won't help you, you can try get bootloader unlock code for 4euros on hcu-client.com , then rebrand your phone to global version. Or, buy Service ROM on easy-firmware for 17euros and upgrade your phone to EMUI 9.1 using dload method (yes, crazy ). Sorry, I can't help you anymore
P.S.: try a google search to find the method "patched HiSuite" or "proxy HiSuite", it may help you. Good luck!
