Hi,
With patience and trick it is possible

nice, hope you will add more features and fix known bugs in near future! thanks

Nice to see you here @Alan-B

Hi,
Unlocking the face is a root problem, for the moment there is no definitive solution!
The Power apk is not mine so I can not change it, it's not legal. In any case the reboot in recovery is problematic! we may not have installed TWRP fixed! and if there is it can be on partition A or B !!
I do not know if it works on Viper? but it is not certain!
Sorry for the bad English ..

reboot recovery and faceunlock both work on magisk version of the Viper ROM, the faceunlock doesn't work on full ROM but reboot recovery does work on full ROM but is a dirty & complicated hack

Hi,
I just checked ... my TWRP is in patition B and power reboot works in recovery. If in patition A I do not know !!
To unlock the face, I never had it on my U12..
PS: If we have a backup of the data, it can be restored after the flash of my rom (as long as there are no updates to Android system file in this data or there is a risk of conflict!)

Yep data backup works for the same version of the HTC rom.before flashing new update/rom, it is recommended to restore data first, then update rom then backup data again, in case you play with stuff and you have to restore data again

Hi,
Warning ! if we do not format the data, there may be a problem that the device no longer sees the card sd External after installation of the system! but we can restore data after, there are no problems!
PS: I uninstall all the updates just system in settings / applications, I make a backup of the data, I install my zip and once configured I restore my data.

Hi,
The problem with the U12, no way to put AROMA to choose a version! Because of the various partitions on the U12 +. It would be necessary to make an entire rom for each version.
The only solution is to make small changes like Viper but via MAGISK! what I do not do!
I could make a version for US Unlocked, but no way to test it!

Hi,
Yes maybe soon but super-R will not do it, you have to do everything in manual.
I have to test and for that it takes time!
I have no one who helps me for my rom! and that for more than 10 years!
Hard to know everything .... so it takes time. Other cooks are many, each has its specialty!
PS: I saw your discussions but there is no final solution yet!

I think you misunderstood my intention with this post, AROMA is going to be openly available once it is ready for release, we are still having some issues, but not with AROMA any more, AROMA does run perfectly fine now after some tweaks, the problem is the method of installation, right now it can only be triggered manually from a command line while in recovery, we are looking for a solution for it to be able to flash AROMA zip files just like before.
I did not meant to mock you or make fun of you at all, this is a sharing community and once it is available and working, it will be shared for all of us to use it, we just don't think it is ready for public release yet
I am sorry if my comment make you feel any other way than what was my intention. have a nice day!!!!!!!! :fingers-crossed:

hi,
Hello,
No problems, I just wait if it is posible to have the opportunity to adapt Aroma to have choices for installation. Which served more convenient than an .img file. This will allow to have a zip compatible with the various versions, as I did for the U11 (which unfortunately is broken)
Thanks to you for bringing an interest to my work and thanks to 'mammothjojo88' for your proposal, doing the work is not a problem for me, just having some solutions to make the work easier and make it more efficient and practical.
PS: What I find a little sad is the return can or thank you for my work to which I never had donations! for the HTC10 + of 1200 download for the U11 300 and for the U12 +, 25 on 3 days. On the French Forums where it's very different! and I have many thanks for my rom

[ROM] CM9 for s7 model-105 by hal version-53

Hi all, after a great effort and lot of work finally i got cm9 compile from source working in my s7 model 105.
this is a more stable version it still has some bugs that i'm trying to solve, help is welcome.
I used kernel from jotamj from another forum and i use asturel device files to get it started, asturel files is for the slim so i had to made some changes in the files, thanks to them.
For a long time i hope for a update from huawei but notthing came, people at huawei suck, they dont give any suport to there clients, so i and other had to do it in order to have cm9 or cm10 in huawei s7.
this work on:
my s7 model=105, it may work on 104 and in 106, probably will not work on s7 slim
what works:
-wifi
-bluetooth
-audio
-gps
-google play (solve, install gaps file)
-streaming (must install flash player 11)
do not work:
-camera
-usb mount on pc
how to install:
first do a backup, IMPORTANT , backup first ( in case same thing go wrong)
copy file zip to sdcard
boot on cwm and install zip file
reboot and wait 4 to 5 minutes, if anything goes wrong restore from backup.
version 53 (more stable)

to solve google play install gaps
link: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B9OIKoN0knUtUTdSQUpERHhfYTg/edit?usp=sharing
help is welcome,
install on your device, test what work and what does not, google for solutions on the bugs you find, post solution here, i will aplly it to the next version, that way we can have a cm9 working 100% in very little time
in the case you can post, write a message to me.

Huawei isn't to blame I think. I don't think there are many QSD8250 devices that made it past Gingerbread. Acer (Liquid, Liquid E) and HTC (Desire) left their devices on Froyo. Dell (Streak 5) moved up to Gingerbread.
I have given my S7 away to a family member and won't be changing the firmware, but thanks for putting this together.
That's a weird looking ro.build.fingerprint you have there. Fix in cm.mk for build. Play Store also freaks out if you have a date too far from the present.

Hi xaueious, when i bought my s7 it came with android 2.1, some time after huawei lunch android 2.2 for asia, i had to wait for a suedish user to hack it and lunch it for europe, they could lunch android 2.3 but they where not interest, that why i said huawei suck, other manufactures realeases updates for they clients, but not huawei.
the fingerprint of the build has to do with the system i came up with to test things, i started with asturel base devices files but that is for the slim, so i had to test what option worked or not, it took dozens of test and tries, to get it to work.
i got the google play problem solve, see post 1, and streaming to
I'm close to get a 100% working rom.
test it if you can, and help me solve the bugs if you find any, enjoy.

after some try & error I found out that with the key combination back&red key & power I can make the device to boot, I see the words Ideos and later android again but that's all. It's not going on. I have no idea how I can install an older rom now....

Sounds like a boot loop. What ROM did you come from? You should be coming from Android 2.2, not 2.1.

To be honest, I can't say it for sure which one I had. In the status menue it said "2.1 update 1" Whatever this means. I had problems to install the clockworkmod I finally found this ROM: rom tri_zet. With that I could install clockworkmod and reboot the tablet into recovery mode. Then I installed this rom here and run into the problem.
Last night I finally managed to install the official swedish ROM 2.2.2. With that my tablet is running again.
Do you think with that one I could make another try to install this rom now? How can I install the clockworkmode now? Maybe the tri_zet rom was the cause of the problem...

Hi grka, i tryed tri_zet but i didnt liked so i used the swedish ROM 2.2.2 until recently.
My advice install cwm 6.0.1, backup and then when install, clear cache and data, then intall my rom it should work
If you get problems again restore from bacup.
1º install the rom, let it boot, after sucessul boot install gaps to make goople play work.
If you need more help ask.

Hi threader, i didnt save the img file, so i compile one today with my 53 source files, here is the link: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B9OIKoN0knUtSXU5Tm9XZUYzYms/edit?usp=sharing
one question. do you know how i can have (make) a system.img file in ext2 format, insted of a yaff2 ?
Hal_2000
I think there is a flag to make the userdata ext4 , but do not make it ext2! It is prone to dataloss if not unmounted properly, it is better to compile in ext3 and 4 support in to the kernel. But i believe if im not mistaken i have seen options to make ext images in the codeaurora sources
Under BoardConfig.mk, TARGET_USERIMAGES_USE_EXT4
Relevant: https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups=#!topic/android-building/wdV3GIe_XC4
The update.zip should be sufficient for most users. Shouldn't need to provide fastboot images.
build/core/Makefile contains the rules to generate the boot, userdata,
and system images. The choice of file system for the two latter is
determined by the setting of the TARGET_USERIMAGES_USE_EXT[234]
variables, so to get ext4 for your system and userdata images you can
say
TARGET_USERIMAGES_USE_EXT4 := true
in e.g. BoardConfig.mk.

For the usb mount, I don't really know how to fix this at all, but the is the Acer Liquid similar? https://github.com/thepasto/liquidCM_devicetree/blob/master/acer/liquid/BoardConfig.mk
BOARD_USE_USB_MASS_STORAGE_SWITCH := true
TARGET_USE_CUSTOM_LUN_FILE_PATH := "/sys/devices/platform/msm_hsusb/gadget/lun"
(lun path needs to be fixed to match S7. I remember changing this when I kanged recovery)

I'm not an expert at CM. I just worked on building one very specific platform and know where some files are... But from what I know...
For Android platform: http://elinux.org/Android_Build_System and https://android.googlesource.com/platform/build/+/master/core/build-system.html
If you modify specific packages, mm and mmm are nice tools to use. For building, make otapackage does a lot more crap than just making the target images (make bootimage, make systemimage). Enabling CCACHE is supposed to help with build speed too. Also consider stripping the unnecessary languages during development, and stuff builds a lot faster (PRODUCT_LOCALE flag), because a ton of time is spent building together strings.
Originally build options are mostly in /build/. CM has some new options in there, but I am not sure if they add new ones elsewhere. Other things to pay attention to are the .prop options that CM has added. Those things are littered all over and don't have documentation, but at least git commits are easy to follow.

Hi, kosmasgr, the audio same times gives a click, is a little bug, the device source i used is from asturel and his files are for the slim version, i'm trying to fix the camera its more critical then the audio bug.
enjoy cm9.

The click is a problem from kernel that Huawei provided for 2.2.2. Kernel source is generic for both version fat and slim.

Here are the latest updates you will see on B29 (coming from the previous build, B27):
Notification bell is now optional (hooray!)
New application management policy to enhance battery life
Optimized video camera focus on moving objects
Resolved .FLAC file playback issue
Visual Voicemail optimized for dual SIM
Updated fix for Mute Call issue
Other general enhancements

I'm wondering if it means that it's at a parallel in development as far as time between updates... Like b27>b29 was 1 and 1/2 months and that's what they're lookin at for a time frame?

my guess is " performing of multiple operations simultaneously " meaning getting MR's OTA and working Naugat (Android 7) at the same time???
well i'm just assuming so , and i assume next Update will be N release., you know B3x

Oh sweet, thanks. I think I tried it before but it didn't stick after rebooting. Has it changed since then? If so, I'm definitely gonna have to search for it again.
I have the option for the update as well. Waiting as I'm rooted.
Here is the download link if anyone wants to play with it.

Parallel paths does indeed mean they are simultaneously working on updates and the long awaited Nougaaaattttt update. ZTE has done a good job updating and listening to their customers in the z-forum. Lets hope this plus Official CM and unlock bootloader without breaking warranty will help ZTE be known as a developer friendly Own.
How do we install if we are unlocked bootloader and rooted??
Do we have any idea if flashing U roms on G device works? Would love to get rid of the bell
Here over in europe, i just received for my A2017G an 703mb big B05 Update.(previous B03)
Strange that ours is 703mb big (hope they fix the youtube freeze Problem) and also supports optional notification bell (no info for that in the change log)
Take a look:

Here is an Mega Mirror for the B29 update. Just in case.
I have simply copied it from its location "data/data/com.zte.zdm/files" where the updater places its OTA files.
https://mega.nz/#!K050XAqT!6EBTgtX13VTdAOiUjiYqeE6jemeOJ2mN8smrrreai6o
MD5: 9a7f45caf459a21a905de0c543748309
If you place the file into that directory. You should be good to go using the inbuild updater.

I was on B27, unlocked bootloader, TWRP recovery, rooted, with changes to /system, and have successfully upgraded to B29 (w/ same modifications). Since I made changes to /system (AdAway, Titanium Backup, AFWall) and wanted a clean slate for everything, I wiped my A7.
If you don't want to factory reset your device and didn't make any changes to /system, you might only have to unroot, restore stock boot.img and stock recovery.img via TWRP (from rczrider's topic linked below), install B29.zip in stock recovery, flash TWRP, then flash root, but I didn't do it personally, so no guarantees.
Anyway, this is what I did. Some of these steps might not have been needed, and probably could have been done differently, but it's what worked for me, and yes I like rebooting:
1. Download the B29 update, DrakenFX's B27 StockSystem zip for TWRP (which also flashes stock boot.img), stock B27 recovery.img from rczrider, and SuperSU 2.65. Put all on microSD.
2. Booted into TWRP and did a factory reset, rebooted back into TWRP and flashed DrakenFX's B27 StockSystem ZIP, rebooted back into TWRP and flashed stock B27 recovery.img, rebooted device.
3. Powered on the device and made sure it booted into OS fine and was still reporting the correct amount of internal storage space. Rebooted into stock recovery and flashed the B29 update.zip from my microSD card. Installed fine, rebooted into OS to made sure it still worked.
4. Rebooted into fastboot, connected to my computer and flashed Unjustified Dev's TWRP via Minimal ADB & Fastboot, booted into TWRP and flashed SuperSU 2.65 from my microSD, let the device reboot itself a couple of times.
I now have B29 with unlocked bootloader, TWRP, and root.
NOTE: Something I noticed when I was going through and disabling system apps: WeShare can't be disabled from the Settings > Apps menu, but can be disabled by opening the app drawer, pressing and holding on it, and dragging it up to "Disable" at the top of the screen.
However, it would probably be easier to just wait for DrakenFX to create custom TWRP install zips for B29.

[ROM][MM 6.0.1][Deodexed][Delete Bloatware][Final] Edge Panel stable Rom for SM-J7108

Newest Nougat rom is availabe at here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j7/development/rom-axvy-rom-sm-j7108-stable-sexy-af-t3687461
I posted previously for j7108 https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j7/development/j7108-android-6-0-1-marshmallow-rom-t3542561
This Rom contain Google Play too.
Bloatware is heavily removed, after flash this Rom you will able to uninstall them!
- using newest update from Samsung
- Camera seem to focus faster and able to capture clearer picture
- phone app has new transition
Lot of preloaded apps/bloatwares are removed properly, it will be very long if I list them all.
Tips for keyboard:
Set Keyboard Swipe to Cursor Control, when you typing you can move the cursor up down left right easily
Keyboard size is helpful especially for those screen with problem
Download language pack to enable spell checking.
Edited build.prop for optimisation, check that old thread. Lot are the same except I remove the nobootanimation already.
My warranty is voided last time because I didn't know about frp lock while flashing wrong rom of other country.
To close Frp Lock, enable Developer Options(google it for step), enable OEM Unlock before flashing
Yet I did not add root to this rom for now, comment if you need it.
I do not know if this rom will void your warranty. Feel free comment to tell us. (Mine after flash in Odin mode said official firmware thought)
In summary I think this rom is better, if you have any request, leave a comment below
Will Void waranty!!!
Cannot use pin version, for those who don't have SD card or phone insufficient space:
Download 720.9mb, extract 1 time and ready to flash using odin. Use AP: https://mega.nz/#!ucl01DaA!APSN35pyT0qH4RnP4GNoc9J8C6wVRlpC5TKBfCBvXJE Set lock screen pin not working
No error version. No need format or wipe your phone and all Knox Carmode stub etc removed in compare to top one:
press backspace to hide keyboard. Files below all extract one time and ready to flash.
1. Flash this first: https://mega.nz/#!qUsXmbwD!Q-rr7wJW7AKYi0xsTIZZvhhDG2zHCCbDAWiAA_mS4JY
2. Flash TWRP using odin https://mega.nz/#!ycc3nLBR!_do-RBTeOfIWvDK5enea8tJXDn5w1hyWuL7j7ZCuh5I select AP
3. Put zip to Phone folder or SD card, install using twrp HOME+POWER+ volume up: https://mega.nz/#!aNFECCRS!84XOLiu_-nyMoSSDTS0ym6dA3xek7Cc2GEHlbib30sE
Personal or application data will remain, this is just like update the Rom.
I have tested this rom before post it but still back up your phone. First boot time will be quite long, please wait for it.
Fyi, when preparing update it take lot of time processing, don't interrupt it and it will come to the last step optimise app.
First boot is always slow then it will be fine. Comment if you don't understand or face problem.

Cannot use pin version: Screen Lock type can't be set.
Pin won't show after lock, don't set pin because it will tell you wrong pin even it's correct when you want to reset it
To remove password you have to go to https://findmymobile.samsung.com/?p=home
I will reupload soon but busy now
Or flash back stock then change pin, not a big issue
Link updated, added twrp j7108 download link
Hopefully it help more people out there, I hope you love this Rom
Further update and improved. I have perform lot of testing. It's stable. Lot of tweaks added.
It has symbol above every key, long press to use symbol. I really love Samsung Keyboard so much, especially the cursor.
To get red underline, for typo, download language pack first. Assistant Menu is come with the phone, google to enable it.
And quick tip to make your phone faster, enable developer mode then disable animation scale. Screenshot more is very nice, I want to thanks Samsung to provide such features allow me to enjoy their product so much. I hope they add edge panel soon, most useful feature.
Here is the new download link, you can find above too, you need twrp for j7108, check above.
THIS WILL VOID WARRANTY!!

What do you mean by custom Rom?
If you mean not stock firmware release by Samsung then this is a custom rom.
For ultimate fast speed and hacks for j7108 Rom pm me.
It's release for private only
I installed this ROM but I seem to still have all the bloatware. You say after this flash I'll be able to uninstall bloatware, but it is as before, if I select uninstall it only gives me option to uninstall updates and return to factory version of apps.
Hmm, should I have wiped system and cache before flashing?
Clearly I have your new ROM installed because I now have the edge app which I did not before. Or, what did I miss.?
Before flashing I was at version J7108ZHU1BQB1 which is same as what you suggest we upgrade to first. Then I used Odin to flash j7first.tar and then J7108twrp-3.0.3.0.tar, then I used TWRP recovery to install ExcellentTweakedTrimmed.zip

Yes it should and it will, can you help me check which bloatware is not removed? Look:
can be completely uninstall
That's odd, both .img and twrp version will uninstall my apps.
You say it revert to old version? Flash it again perhaps since it match stock version of that app.
Really, I have tried both of then several time for bug testing, that's why I believe it will 100% work. NO wipe required ya, this is just like updat, DON'T reset as I have tested.
I am gladly to watch it over video to see at what's the problem, if you don't mind pm me your skype username.

Ha, OK, yes it does work. When I hit "uninstall" it gives me the same dialogue box as always before:
"Do you want to replace this app with the factory version? [Cancel], [OK]"
So I thought nothing had changed and I didn't even try to go further, But now I see that that if I select [OK], it actually does uninstall - it does not revert to the factory version like the dialogue box says it will..
I installed the TWRP version by the way

Hi,
I'm new here, this method also works with bootloader 6 ? e.g. with the "A605FNXXU6CTH1"
Android 10, UI 2.0, are there any problems with rooting? Magisk or SU?
thanks for your replay

I can help with that. I know what it feels like having no TWRP and custom rom. But you still need to test the TWRP. Because I don't have A600FN, and the LCD on my A6+ broke so I don't own a device launched in 2018. OK with testing?

I think it will work...? Because I will use kernel and dt from here. And it's verifyed working. I'm just building for new version
Can you test this?
Thanks, ill hope there will be some users which ow the Galaxy A6 and not using this device as their main phone to be willing to test.
As a IT specialist myself i did try anything to at least help testing for this version of TWRP for our device. I did try to take several rom dumps with professional fabric software and hardware like software dongles but it was impossible to make a full rom dump.
With this said and knowing that a complete data wipe within TWRP is necessary to make the recovery find the internal storage makes it impossible for me to test no matter the fact that the biggest part of this recovery already exist and confirmed working.
I have A600FN and I could test that as soon as my OEM unlock button will be visible (above 10 days passed and still nothing...).

I could help with the OEM unlock button. What a waist of time these lost 10 days and still no OEM unlock button while the solution is easy...
Follow guide with screenshots: https://www.xda-developers.com/fix-...y-s9-samsung-galaxy-s8-samsung-galaxy-note-8/
And for those who could test on the A600 the recovery image is already uploaded within this thread thanks to Royna
I've tried that many times (no only that, but many similar guides) - and still nothing. From what I read, Samsung just fixed that "date & time" trick and I have to wait.
Ok that is strange, im on android 10 with One UI version 2.0 and got it working. If im allowed to post this link then the rom could be found here: https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-a6/firmware/SM-A600FN/PHN/#SM-A600FN
You should do a clean flash without having the phone connected to the internet, not even once because it will do some synchronization. After the flash just follow the guide which could be found on the xda forum..
Thank you for a hint. Because of that I'm waiting so long already I'll wait till end of week and if things still will be the same then I'll try rom you've proposed. Thanks again.

Hi, I want to install magisk but now it requires the use of boot.img. I tried a lot but could not extract it. Can you provide it ? Or tell me another way to install magisk.
I managed to do it now

I used this guide.
But you do need to install TWRP. The boot.img file is extracted in the the internal storage unless specified. I have attached my stock boot.img file
https://www.droidwin.com/extract-boot-img-directly-from-device-without-downloading-firmware/

Why not to just boot twrp and flash magisk apk there (via sideload or from sdcard since encryption is not supported now)

I didn't know we could do that. I was following the guide where it said you need to have boot image and then modify it using magisk app. Next time I will try this method. Do we have to rename the apk file to .zip

No need to rename or anything, it should just flash as normal zip despite it is an apk

Hi, first of all, thanks a lot for the effort of making this rom possible. I would like to ask you, if there's a way to disable/turn off completely the gesture navigation? I only found an option to hide the indicator on the bottom

There's no way to actually do that. But you are free to edit build.prop (qemu.hw.mainkeys=1 should work for this purpose)
Hi,When I inserted the sim card, the phone started to restart automatically repeatedly. It can be used normally without inserting the card or in flight mode, how can I fix this problem

Actually this worked flawlessly for me. Now I was able to get rid of that annoying extra space under the keyboard. Thanks a lot

thank you for your reply!
1. The carrier is China Telecom. 2G:CDMA 4G:TD-LTE/FDD-LTE.
2. I changed to another carrier's card and the problem persists. These two cards work fine in other phones. Also works fine in the original Motorola system.

I can't tell you what causing this for sure. Did you came from stock right away ? If so, you should make sure that it is latest firmware. Also tell me which variant of the phone you have (XT 1900-x)

Its happen When I install all apks that I need...
I use about 68...72% of interna memory, and then the Phone starts to come in boot loop...
I restart the Phone some times, until the normal boot....
Sometimes I need to do a factory reset to start The Phone normally...
I can use the rom, but if I add many apks, like Google apks, (PDF, note,) security câmera, WhatsApp, telegram, Facebook and others, The Phone does not work properly
I made downgrade for stock rom using RSA of Motorola, and waiting The weekend to try a New instalation of The rom
@ExactExampl Thanks for having this rom for X4
I'm having an issue where when JioSaavn app reaches its main screen, phone reboots. Kindly check. Let me know if any extra info is needed
