Flash magisk for root

Magisk is work well. But still i can't install the gapps. Even pico, nano, micro and full. It' s says error 64. I've tried so many times and still failed. What must i do now ? :crying::crying::crying:

but i'm wondering if there's a way of changing the sim that is currently 4G, like in stock android .
right now if i want to change the sim that i use as 4g I should physically change their places.

Would it be possible to make rom without it forcing you to install magisk. Some still prefer to use SuperSU and it's simple to flash magisk after rom installation too.

It is possible for ROM maintainer to build unrooted build..
If you don't want to flash magisk automatically with ROM you can delete magisk folder from the ROM zip and flash ROM...

I don't quite understand meaning of the first phrase.
Also thanks for the tip, I realized this too after awhile, but still going to leave the suggestion to remove magisk from rom itself(or mentioning about it in the first post would be helpful @ksrt12).
Everything else in new version feels even nicer than on previous versions.

I do not see the advantages of supersu before magick.
I think that most people on custom use root, and doesn't matter magisk or supersu
and since there are magisk in the RR sources, why not build it
if you don't like magisk you can remove it

I meant that you could make it without root and let people choose themselves how they want to root it, but yeah I realized I can just remove it from zip. And it was just a suggestion.
But suggestion about mentioning in thread that it installs magisk would be good so no one will accidentally install SuperSu. So it won't cause any problems to anyone, since I think you shouldn't have both installed(not sure will it cause problems, but just in case).

Wipe Dalvik/ART Cache, System, Cache
Install "RR-N-v5.8.5-20180523-ms013g-Unofficial.zip"
Install "open_gapps-arm-7.1-pico-20180524.zip"
Install "Gps fix.zip" (otherwise GPS will not work)
Reboot system:
SIM 1 and SIM 2 are detected
Auto rotation works
Camera: Photo works, video works not (use 3rd party camera app like Cameringo Lite, it's not a problem of this ROM)

Also, I remember in our lineageos 13.1 rom by shujath, he removed zcache to fix offline charging bug, perhaps you can try the same ? It's not a major bug though so take your time.

I was on 5.1.8 I believe. I used the GSI install found here https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6/themes/tool-gsi-installer-2-0-t3803779
*Double tap to wake does not work
*After flashing gapps google services constantly crashing (flashed via TWRP). Unable to add google account or anything
*Notch hides stuff (common with all roms besides Oxygen right now)

Very interesting. when I have a little free time, I try it on my Sharp aquos s2. It is good to know that it is an official project.
Mi Mix 2s reboote aswell here.
Steps i Did
- Flashed official Global Dev Rom 8.6.26 (MiFlash Tool)
- Unlocked BL again (Mi Unlock, will Wipe the phone..)
- Wiped eveything, again
- Flashed AOSP img. (over ADB/Fastboot)
- Wipe again (just to be sure)
Bootloop. It shows Mi logo once, Reboots, then on the second try it goes directly to fastboot.
Am i anything missing?

If I set sim 2 for data..voice not working...but I think it's ok...if you want to use sim2 data don't flash the sim1fix....and vice versa

You need to clean flash this rom or u can try dirty flashing latest rr build

Yes u can with magisk module but since i dont use it so ask someone who uses it for methods how to use it

Its a port rom i have to build it again for fixing bugs sudeep build it once you should try that version and for link of that join our group as he hasn't created thread of it till now

I had oreo on my phone when i first unlocked its bootloader and flashed a custom rom. I have never flashed Pie firmware on my phone but i use pixel experience rom based on Android pie and it works flawlessly. Should i flash the pie firmware before installing this rom or is it okay to just flash it in twrp like pixel experience rom???
My phone model is XT 1900-2 indian version
Has someone made a dirty flash of this ROM on stock Pie?

Based on his post, if you haven't flashed stock pie it sounds like you need to do that 1st
But if you have already tried let the community know. If you tried and successfully succeeded, $$$.
If you bootlooped, then we all know we have to flash stock pie.

Does this rom include the moto stuff/apps (gestures like shake for camera, chop for flashlight, fingerprint sensor navigation etc), and if not is it possible to get them to run on this rom?

Search on Google about Moto logo maker , download that tool ,try to build boot logo ur wish then flash or u need stock bootlogo u can get bootlogo on Google or Moto x4 thread ,flash logo.bin

I was able to create a logo.bin through Motorola Boot Logo Maker and replace what I had here in another zip, thanks for the help ??
Hello, the Gapps are not installing, regardless of the version (micro, mini, pico ...) and independent of the structure (arm or arm64). ViperOS installs normally, but not the Gapps. How should I proceed?

You need to install the rom followed by the zip to fix the twrp and then install the Gapps.
Always install twrp post installation of some custom ?
