Well, it depends on your base. This ROM is based on Oreo. If you're not having fingerprint functionality then you're on Nougat base. So you need to flash this file to convert your base to Oreo.

Krexus-CAF is what the name implies. The Krexus unique combination of mods, on top of a clean uptodate and latest CAF source.
Built mainly of top of AOSP-CAF (with permission) and using only what's necessary from all the other great non-nexus device supporting ROMs (CyanogenMod, Dirty Unicorns, AOSPB, Tesla etc), Krexus-CAF tries to provide the maximum compatibility possible with CM-based device trees while keeping a small ROM base.

About Krexus:
Krexus was born out of a simple necessity. The latest releases of stock Android (namely lollipop and marshmallow) were pretty close to my idea of a perfect android ROM, yet missing some elements, which are meant to be included in stock Android, at least for me. Starting from a clean AOSP environment, only specific features and fixes are included, which are personally tested, with one goal in mind. To create a stock like android ROM, "as it should be".
This means, and I mean it, a ROM like how stock nexus image should be, for me.
This isn't going to get bloated. Most UI "features" are already there.
This isn't going to start picking commits relentlessly, I will test them personally and only add things that 1) work like they should 2) would fit in a stock ROM.
This isn't going to be updated very quickly. Only security and bug fixes will be pushed out ASAP.
This is going to follow Google's & AOSP guidelines as closely as I can.[/SPOILER]

What is XOS?
halogenOS, also known as XOS is a new Android ROM which ships with the global aim to
become a modular ROM which keeps as high as potentially possible operating
performance on your mobile device while still maintaining a sufficient feature
base of nice, small and minimal features that would not be available via any
external feature base, extension, mod or plugin.
Internals of XOS
At core, the ROM is composed mainly of components from CodeAuroraForums (CAF),
minor components of AOSP-CAF, featuring only extremely minor set of components
from CyanogenMod (CM) which have been added to source in order to allow for
better cross-device compatibility.

These are my personal builds of AOSP for View 10 based on berkeley-dev trees. It's a plain Android with only a few minor changes added by me to make it more usable: better OTA packages support, some application fixes, under-the-hood improvements and kirin-specific patches. No additional system functional included.

AOSP itself is bare bones and unlike LineageOS it is not very usable without gapps. Stock gapps package is preferred for the best experience, but you can use small packages too.
Compared to EMUI system may look very gigantic with stock DPI value, 420 dpi is recommended (it is used by Google on their 1080p devices). Go to dev settings and set smallest width to 411dp instead of 360dp.

While I didn't test it on L09, it uses same compatibility hacks as Lineage, so it should work fine here as well.
I'll keep it up-to-date with the latest AOSP tag always, so system-side security updates are guaranteed. Though device will still report vendor security patch level.

While it's intended for use only on V10, it should work for everything else as well. Although it may be necessary to remove the assertion from update-script.

Sadly your aosp build doesn't boot on l09....would have been good if your build booted before pie roms became stable enough to daily drive

Already installed on my sanders, everythink looks so fine, diff between this rom and lineage is i can customize much more like status bar and navbar,,
install magisk v16.7, working good, but not try modul yet.
2 annoying thing, 1. No Radio Fm 2. i cant remove provider name on left status bar.

Nougat base,,
I tried both but it keeps powering off and rebooting into recovery due to rescue party...my device is encrypted... Any ideas?
Using Oreo base ,but fingerprint not available

i think u should format data first, it will delete all ur data so back up it to ur pc, than copy again to ur phone after flash rom...
Its not about stable, both are same.
If you have the bootloader that was present with stock noughat use the noughat one.
If you have the bootloader present on stock oreo use the one with oreo one!

I installed everything correctly, did a clean flash and strangely when the rom starts, is asking for a supposed password to start the android ... what can this be? (ps: I've done wipe data, system, cache, dalvik, everything) and still keep asking for some password to start!

This can only be solved with the help of the twrp flashable stock rom from here. After flashing this you will be able to format data in twrp which finally removes encryption. Read instructions carefully.
This ROM is perfect! I do though because of my setup have to restart my phone every 2-3 days to shake the cobwebs out and keep it as lag free as possible. But otherwise this is the first Pie rom where I can open up Google Maps and it doesn't cause total lockup or Spotify and not have the LMK kill it when it felt like it. Or call up Assistant and not wait 2 minutes for it to come up! Running the 2/32 variant (at least delays my need to find a 3/32 X4 or 4/64 G5+ on eBay)
Will the new update make things even better (I know, clean flash)? Also, will there be at some point adding the only feature I think is missing? The ability to natively unlink ring and notification volumes?

Check that you are using the latest version of the official TWRP. Maybe the file is corrupted, download it again.
Got a minor bug with screenshot edits. Says markup keeps stopping. I have attached screenshot.
