Any bumper cases? That covers the sides only. - OnePlus 6T Accessories

I'm looking for a case that covers the oneplus 6t from the sides only because i bought a dbrand skin and i want to show it off.

A clear/transparent one?

Rhinoshield is working on one, as well as another full bumper. Hopefully it will be released soon. Rhinoshield saved my Xperia from disaster after I left my phone on the roof of my car and drove away with it there. I watched it bounce off the road at 100 kmph. The Xperia still works great with no damage. The only damage to my phone was the cracked screen protector.

Supcase do this for the OP 6:
https://www.supcase.com/oneplus-6-unicorn-beetle-style-clear-case
I emailed them if they will be doing similar for the OP 6T.

This is a very good video which correlates with what you say regarding RhinoShield products for the OP 6:

not out yet

FYI on the Rhinoshield bumpers. I love that they make only bumper style cases but their buttons are STIFF. I bought one for my Note 9 and the buttons were not easily found when you're not looking and they're hard to press. Spigen has the best feedback when it comes to their buttons. You want very "clicky" buttons and buttons that stick out far enough to find easily when you're feeling around in your pocket.
Rhinoshield for some reason doesn't have this and I hope they will improve their buttons. Also, I noticed on the case for my N9 the lip for the back of the phone was way higher than the front. So it looks safer to lay down on the back than the front where I was hoping for the same level of "rasivity" so you can lay the phone face down.
Anyway, I hope that all made sense.

The rhinoshield on my 5x was just like stated above with super stiff buttons. I tried an iPhone 7 for a while and bought one for it as well and the buttons were nice and tactile. I was hoping this was the case for all newer cases by the company. Hopefully the rhinoshield for the 6t will be nice like the one I had on the iPhone.

Personally, I prefer only a bumper. This case has a clear back on it.

Could be model specific, I had a rhinoshield bumper on my old og pixel and the buttons felt good, very tactile.

I hope so.

I had Rhinoshield for my 2 XL and I loved it...until I had to take it off to change out my dbrand skin...never when back on the same.

That concerns me because the only reason I'd be getting another Rhinioshield is to use it with a skin. I noticed on my N9 that I put a back skin on it was more difficult to slip on.

It'll probably be fine so long as you never take it off.

Still no solid ship date for this case but at least it's coming. Sucks that this is the only option we have so far.

I'm waiting to buy this too. Now it has started shipping, I may get one.

I just got notification that my Rhinoshield has also shipped, I'm excited to get rid of the crappy Amazon case I had bought to hold me over.

I ordered the rhinoshield as well. Was shipped yesterday. Cannot wait to have it with the dbrand skin

Cases for the beautiful beast

Hey guys finally ditched the samsung camp and got myself a Nexus 6 for relatively cheap here in the uk, xpansys selling for £250 with a free Google Chromecast.
Initially I was over come by the sheer size of this phone, and in now pretty worried that I'll drop it or "scuff" the soft touch case.
Anyone able to recommend a slimline but smart looking case & screen protector that doesn't take away from its looks? Thanks guys.

Best I've found over the past year:
http://www.amazon.com/Ringke-Essential-Protector-Scratch-Resistant-Protective/dp/B00O152P7G
The SF Black has a nice soft touch to it and it comes with a screen protector. I'm sure there are better protectors on the market but for an all in one package it's tough to beat. Only gripe is that I wish it had the Moto dimple cut out. That would make it perfect for me.
Third one looks good ?.

just run mine naked - love the looks of the phone
The incipio dual pro fits this beast well and has a nice grippy feel to it
I'm using Nillkin Frosted Shield case. Really slim and gripped so it's not slips from the hand. I don't really know if it's protects from dropping, but I don't really care about it because I'm really careful with my devices and I have tempered glass on it.
I got two different ones and use them both (not at the same time) depending on the need for the day.
The first one is really nice/inexpensive and since I got clear it doesn't affect my original color choice for the phone (which is white). It came with a free screen protector but despite rather significant experience at applying protectors this one didn't go so good so I removed it and now I'm just going without, but that's mostly because I use the second case most of the time.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00SX1NNJI/ref=ya_aw_od_pi?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The second one is a larger pouch case and it's my favorite because it allows me to keep the phone naked so it will fit in the Proclip custom mount in my truck. I can still easily hear alarms, notifications, etc with the phone in this case. It protects the screen and the whole phone very well. It's a little pricey but really good quality/construction. My phone is in this case like 99% of the time.

The OP was looking for a slimline case. That's the total opposite, probably the biggest case you can get for the N6. The Ringke Fusion is probably the one the OP wants. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ringke-FUSI...hash=item3aad336132:m:mm5wuDQt5cp30pfU-E1_3cQ

This is hands down the thinest quality case you can get for our phone.
There were a couple of links in this thread for Ringke cases and I would absolutely agree. Ringke cases are superb.
Also , if you are looking for a tempered glass screen protector then look no further than this :

Lol, I just received this same case yesterday. While I love the thin design which covers all 4 sides and back I wouldn't trust it in a drop from any distance. But then again I don't what something too thick because I also carry a iPhone 6s. Just couldn't pass up on a $200 Nexus 6.

I see that the holster for this case is a snap in holster and not a slide in. Does the holster allow for the phone to be attached screen out?

Xperia X case/covers

Did not see a thread on covers/cases etc.
I just bought a tempered glass cover:-
http://www.ebay.com/itm/401120474270?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
Its crap tbh, ok with the phones curves you never gonna get a perfect fit tampered glass like I had for my previous Z3 compact but it does not even come close to the edge of the screen. Might not even apply it and perhaps send this back or at least complain to the seller, although was very cheap so prob will not bother. Nothing on the packaging mentions the phone which kinda makes me think is just some generic thing, even though on the page it says its specifically made for this phone, it clearly is not.
Just wondered if anyone had any more luck than me? I like my phone naked really but would tolerate a tempered glass cover that fits.
Nah, the tempered on I got was crap too, fitted to edge of screen and still had margins that didn't stick. Gone back to flexible protectors for now
Sent from my F5121 using Tapatalk
I got three glass screen protector direct from china during my visit, has the cutout for the front cam+sensor and the speaker on the top and bottom, the coverage does not cover the full screen as the curve edge prevents it, but the glass screen protector does reach and fully cover the active screen, cost me about USD .30 each.
I just ordered this, looks good, but need to see the actual item.

I shall post pics of the actual device tonight. I must say for what I paid I'm not impressed lol but I suppose it's doing the job, for now.

EDIT - Case is perfect fit and has nice grip.
recommend melkco leather case for xperia x cases, the leather and handmade quality really very good
I'm using a Nillkin flip cover for my XX. The leather feels good, and the case fits perfectly. It makes the phone look like a small notebook.

Still haven't found a screen protector that fits the 2.5d screen.
Hi guys, I just recently dropped my device with my plastic case on and my screen protector of course, the edge of the case has snapped and my screen protector is slightly shattered therefore I've had to order another case and screen protectors, this was on a warehouse floor from about 1 metre drop luckily my phone isn't damaged!
I've gone down a different route now, before I had the Terrapin smokey black plastic case (which fits well but feels cheap) and KlearLook tempered glass protectors, now here's what I've just ordered via Amazon!
1. YouSave Tempered Glass Screen Protector
2. ShockSock Sony Xperia X Neoprene Shock Resistant Pouch
3. Tudia Ultra Slim Full Matte Arch TPU bumper
Now I have chosen a pouch purely because I do not like storing my phone in my pocket at work as it can collect a lot of dust and dirt, after finding this pouch I was very interested as it comes with a clip for your belt or whatnot, it also says in the description that it supports the phone with a case on too which I found awesome, I went with a cheaper option on the screen protectors than I did before but the reviews for these seemed okay and the price is great. As for the Tudia case, I haven't used any of their products before but seen a fellow X user on YouTube using one of their armour cases (which I didn't want to go with, hense I chose ultra slim).
When my accessories arrive I shall post some pictures and a review ????????
Received my new goods and I can say I think the screen protectors were great for the price, fitted very easy no hassle either. As for the ShockSock it's awesome, with the TPU case it is a tight fit but if it's not on it's a smooth fit. Full coverage from the TPU case, great fit only downside I'd say is access to the power button/fingerprint sensor is a tad limited to what it'd be if the case wasn't on.
Waiting for the price of the official case to get knocked down in price lol

What case you will be using?

I just got in contact with RhinoShield and unfortunately they won't be making a case for XZ Premium.
Anyone recommends any good alternatives?
I ordered the Sony Style Cover Stand; SCSG10.
I'll let you know if I like it when I get my phone next week.
I will stick to a clear jelly case, i ordered the chrome version and i cannot wait to get it. Sony stile cover doesn't have that much protection for the sides, i like something that completely covers the sides and back, and for the screen a tempered glass is a must.

Same here, I went for a transparent gel cover, add a few mm to the phone, but protect it from scratch, finger smudges and make it less likely to slip out of hand... £10.00 well invested... Bonus, I can still enjoy the beauty of this phone.
1st I've used this: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B06XK56YL4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
=> It was not so good, because the buttons are under the case and the cam-button must be pushed hard.
Now I'm using this: https://www.deindesign.de/de/shop/d...sony-xperia-xz-premium/fussball/bvb-holzoptik
(Don't look at the logo ) It' really good, all buttons are free.

I bought the Moko case for my XZP, but notice that on the top and bottom the fit isn't great. Also I've read in other forums, reviews that the case doesn't offer much drop protection. Having used Ringke cases for Z3 and Z3C - they're far more reliable for drops, I ordered one Ringke now.
The Moko case looks good and is nice to hold though.

got mine today, it is awesome. best case so far and ive tried like 5 of them now. the Ringke is a keeper, very good quality and the customer service was very fast when I ran into a issue. It also comes with a film for the back of your phone so it wont bubble/rainbow like the other similar case out there without the dust plugs.
also it matches the deepsea black perfectly
Has anyone got this case? It looks like it is exactly what I am searching for, but I don't know how well it fits the phone.

The terrapin cases are simply the best for Sony devices. The most classy and offers the best protection. And it's made out of real leather too.
I can recommend it to all of you.
Costs only 15 bucks.
Don't worry there's a hole on the back of the case for camera and sensors.

RhinoShield / CrashGuard bumper for OP5

Thought I'd share. I fell in love with these bumpers for my iPhone 6 / Nexus 6P, and am glad to see the OP5 will be getting one as well.
https://rhinoshield.io/collections/oneplus-5
Per their site - "The current estimated release date is Mid of August (subject to change)." Kind of a bummer, but well worth the wait imo.
I really think about buying one of these, but how does it feel in the hand? Will the curve of the back be completely gone?
I like these cases, but the one for the 3T was terrible. Hopefully they fixed the problems that they had with The 3t

why was it terrible ? it protected the phone from a 22ft fall..

just because it survived didnt make it not terrible. it was hard to put on, and once you got it on, it bulged out around the slider and kept it from working properly. nice, but flawed.
agree that it would be nice if they fix those issues on the next version.

It does protect the phone. However it was so tight that you had to put so much force on the phone to take it off. The volume and home button were so hard to press, you had press really hard and maybe it would register.
dont forget the last one pulled off tempered glass screen protectors (Pulled off my curved official one which i'll remind people is £17) I was so pissed off, complained then they said there was nothing they could do and then added the disclaimer on the page saying the bumper didn't work with the glass.....never again

On my 6P, The sides of the bumper extend far enough to make it lay flat and solid on a table, which is part of the protection. Since the back is completely open beyond that, any curve will be apparent.

yeah, but on the OP5, the sides are curved, not the back, so you won't feels those anymore, right?

Agree, I had it for the 3T, the buttons and slider were really stiff and not very impressive at all, the fit was fine but that's not difficult as it only has to go round the edges, it raised the phone off the bottom nicely though and there was a sufficient lip to protect the screen, will be interested to see this new one.
Thanks for sharing! Loved the one I had for my Nexus 6, the one I used for the 3 was awful so got rid of it pretty quickly. I'll most likely be trying this one out!
Wonder how much width it adds to the phone. From the picture, it looks slim. But looking at the op3 version, it's a little too much width.
Pre-ordered today. Coupon code ready4school worked for 15%. Helps with shipping.
Took a while to finally decide on it but I really don't like any cases out so far. The phone looks great naked and I think I'd rather go that route with this bumper. Might get a dbrand skin too..

I had this on the 6p and although it was a good case, the back of the phone was exposed, when you dragged it along the edge of a desk, the back of the phone did make contact towards the upper part of the middle of the phone, not sure i'd buy the Rhino again.
I've ordered mine too, still hasn't shipped though.
I had it on my 6P too.
Loved it then.
So one more is enroute for my OP5.
Hope it arrives soon to India....

They addressed that issue as far as being extremely difficult to put on and take off the phone:
Our OnePlus 5 bumpers are made out of RhinoShield's newest material!
We are excited to share that the OnePlus 5 bumper is our second product to be made out of a recently reformulated polymer blend. With this material, the CrashGuard will:
Protect your phone for longer. Wear and tear will be significantly reduced because of a general improvement in durability.
Be easier to install and remove. The new material stretches under continuous pressure and returns to its original position afterwards.
Be lighter and thinner. We can reduce thickness while maintaining our standard of protection.
Lastly, just in case you were wondering, our OnePlus 5 bumper is compatible with the official OnePlus screen protector.

this is my worry. The render show a one piece small volume rocker. Since I like the feature ''long press to skip track'', I doubt that case will give a easy touch feel.
I'll wait for the reviews.
For now, the cheap ebay bumper case with the acrylic clear back cover, is slim , nice and give a nice button feel.
Hi all! I'm pretty excited for this one, I had a CrashGuard on my Nexus 6P, OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T and always really liked them. The buttons were really stiff though and they were hard to take off again, but I think they improved both with this one. Like you already mentioned, this one will be made of their new material, which will be easier to take off. Also: There's a photo showing that the buttons are not made like before, covering the the whole phone. (See photo in the middle) They have small cutouts, like the Spigen cases, which should make them really easy to press while maintaining the clicky feel. I just don't really know how to order this one, I'm in New Zealand right now with no permanent residence. No idea how long shipping takes or how much it really costs. They have a calculator on their website, but who knows how accurate this is...

I have pre-ordered the bumper. It will be shipped after the Labor Day, so this weekend I will be able to give you my review on the bumper. As a comparison I will use my current case - spigen armor.

Yes. They yellow like a mof*. And they add a lot of bulk. The design for the fusion case Ringke had in the pre-Nexus 5 era was awesome, pretty much the same as the Orzly fusion cases. The new designs look really dirty after a few months.
I had one of these for the pixel XL and it was great the dust flaps are new ordered from Amazon just now.
I bought ringke cases in the past for my S5 and iphone 6 and they are built well and works with glass screen protectors. Just ordered this case and tempered screen protector.
Mine arrived today and I have to say i'm not impressed....the dust cap for the charging port always sticks out it doesn't actually stay in the port which is what it's for and always sticks out :/ it's very very annoying

Interesting, I always wondered about those caps. They were actually a turn off for me as I like quick access, I also thought it would be an S5 type of scenario where they just fell off over time!

Same problem with the one I received yesterday as well. It's too bad because otherwise, it's an excellent case. The Ringke case I used to have for my Nexus 6 had the same type of cover, but it stayed closed.

At least I know it's not just a defective case. as you said it's a nice case but this lets it down.

I think they need to enlarge the nubs that fit into the charging port, although they'd probably get complaints about that too because it would be difficult to open. The Nexus 6 case required a bit of effort to open that cap. I'll email their customer service later and see if they respond. Otherwise, I'll just clip it off.

Think i'll do the same from the amazon page see what they say
Sent it and the pictures, I cba going through amazon for a refund on it but I will if they dont respond with a decent answer. tbh I was thinking of a flip case anyway due to lack of decent screen protectors.
Any news? I have the same issue...
I'm happy with this case despite its two defects:
- it's not "smoke black", but in daylight it seems a "smoke blu navy" (I've the smoke black for OPO, OP2 and OP3 and they're really black)
- the dust cap is too hard, and after the first use it can't more stand locked in the usb port.
For the rest, it is as expected:
Correct holes, compatible with the tempered glass of OnePlus, not too bulky.
I think I keep it, and as I have always done for my previous oneplus, I've customized it with a couple of drawings.
preview:
imgur.com/a/wh4Vh (sry, nearly exhausted printer cartridges: P)
.psd files:
mega.nz/#F!3F4WxS4A!kZM8PMKBu2Kfp0Fu_PSH7w
(If anyone wants to start a new thread on customizing this cover, it's free to use my files.)
I got my replacement today they sent it from the US for some odd reason but this one connects to the charging port fine and works as it should.
Shame I got the official OP5 flip case and am using that instead but meh
