Offical 3.5mm headphone dongle replacements. - OnePlus 6T Accessories

Any place to get these in America? I can't find them anywhere. The ones they sell on Amazon I don't know if they would even work?

Apple sells them now since the iPad pro uses usbc and has no headphone jack. It's only 10 bucks and they usually sell quality products.

Absolutely the brand new one from Apple:
https://www.apple.com/shop/product/...ack-adapter?fnode=85&fs=fh=3038%2B4891%2B45b0

Get them on oneplus.com and they are cheaper than apple.

I see the OTG,but, not the 3.5mm adapter,at least on the US site.

I bought mine from Monoprice. Not sure how well they work yet but I'll find out in a couple days.

I have this one works with my Nexus 6p but will it work with the OnePlus 6t
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DXP213B/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Also will this one work too.

I plan on getting dongles for all my headphones too bad in the US store they don't even sell the official ones.

Not if you live in the US after 7 dollar shipping you are looking at 16.94 when its all said and done from Oneplus. Apple free shipping and tax came out to 9.64 for me. Hopefully apple ones work the same. Will report back.

Thanks for the link! Can you achieve full volume with these like the one it came with from Oneplus? I got the apple adapter and could only get them to work with 3.5 apple earbuds and the volume was about half of what it should be.

I would not recommend the apple ones personally. After further testing I was able to get them to work with the Kingston HyperX Clound II headphones by plugging the adapter into the phone first and then headphones into the adapter. The biggest problem with the apple varient is the throughput. I was only able to get approximatly 60% of the volume at max compared to the official oneplus adapter. Which is a no go for me. Might have to bit the bullet and get another one from oneplus for 17 after shipping if the ebay ones dont function at full volume like the official ones.

it does, but you have to plug it in with the "seam" down.

I just got these 3 adapters from Fry's electronics, and they all work perfectly. No degraded sound quality or glitches.
Only thing I didn't test was whether or not I can transfer data through the dongle that simultaneously charges and allows headphones.

Beats tour are a very poor set of headphones which is why they are.being resold at nearly 10% of the original retail. I bought a pair thinking they had the same bass amplification of the solo and studio versions of the headphones, which they didn't and the overall clarity of sound was seriousely lacking. They did look cool though! I wouldn't suggest anyone purchasing them even at that price because of the lack of sound quality.

Edit: I dont know after looking closer at the ad they don't even say beats by dre anywhere in the title or description, it a "slick" way of selling knock offs. Because they never actually say that they are what the really aren't.

Also, it only says it comes with 1x headphones. Not the extra ear pieces and the case. I hope they are not fakes, but I have my doubts. Its practically legal (I think it may be, in fact) to make knockoffs in China and HK.

You should check your local Sony store, I bought these $50-60 headphones for $20 and they are awesome quality for the price. They were "obsolete" from the newer model. I'm pretty cheap, usually I buy headphones around the $7 margin but these were basically a steal! I was impressed at how rich the sound quality was and its even fuller with the integrated beats audio. The buds are not grainy or just treble screaming and very comfortable in the ears.
I also suggest cheap skull candy's. Never go with that atomic or nuke brand. Even klipsch (could always check online at like www.frys.com )

Works without having to plug in an external power source. Tested on Galaxy S3, S4, Note 3.
Though when I used it on the S3 I did plug the power source in because we were streaming a really long movie and the phone wasn't charged fully.

when you squeeze the body of the device, the plastic gives a little bit. When you squeeze the real one, it does not give. This is probably because it actually has the proper components within, whereas the fake one seems to be missing something inside.

In this one the real one is one the left, and you may notice how to corners on the device are more defined than the fake one, regarding the outside of it and the HDMI female plug.
On top is the real one, and it looks like it has a more yellowish hue to the white compared to the fake one.
Here the real one is on the bottom, and you can tell the MHL label is a little lighter of a shade of grey. The metal male plug is also different, with the real one having a little smoother look to it and where the metal interlocks in the middle it seems to be in a different style in the fake one.
On the right is the fake one. It looks like the connector's edges are more defined and has two ridges along the bottom, whereas the fake one it seems there are none.
Let me know if you guys want more pics, I took plenty just in case.
Mine is genuine because its from Amazon directly. But the crackling noise when you shake it is a bit concerning

Docks?

I ordered a OnePlus 5 for my wife as a birthday gift.
At the moment we both have Nexus phones (hers a 5, mine a 6) and we dock the phones on Qi chargers overnight. I'd like to replace her dock with one that is suitable for the OnePlus. I checked Amazon and found only one dock that supports Dash and the reviews are poor.
At one point a long time ago I thought I saw a "universal" dock which had no built-in cable, instead a clamp assembly that held whatever cable you put in place but I can't find one now.
Anyone have suggestions for a dock?
This is a missed opportunity for OnePlus, they should make a nice dock as an available accessory!

I don't know about the one on Amazon, but this is not that lightweight and not easy to knock over. On the bottom it has 4 rubber pads, under which I guess there are 4 screws to keep it together. But it's really stable, I don't think you'd have to add magnets.

I know it takes a while to get stuff from Aliexpress to Canada, but I just might have to order one of these.

I am from Romania and we do not have Amazon here. So the only place to order phone accessories at a reasonable price is China. It took about 1 month from the time of purchase to the moment the dock arrived.
Right now there seems to be a major backlog with Canada Post and processing things from China. Some people have had to wait 3-4 months!

@reneftw, does this dock work with thicker cases, for example with OtterBox?
Thanks!

I don't know how thick the Otterbox case is, but the plate surrounding the plug springs down about 1-1.5 mm.
Would you not want to use a Qi adapter? I have one on my N6P at the moment and am hoping to use it on my OP5 when I get it too.

I think he talks about that adapter that comes under the case (or under the battery cover directly, I think I saw something like this on OP3 forums).

T-Mobile OnePlus cases

Anyone know if TMobile will be selling the OnePlus cases? Really love the sandstone case and hoping I can pick it up Friday from a T-Mobile store when I get the phone.

Amazon doesn't carry the cases that are sold on the OnePlus site. As far as I know you can only get the exclusive from OnePlus.

Odds are the Karbon Fiber case will be the only one in-store,as it's currently the only one listed on T-Mobile's website.

I was able to pick up the 6T from my local store, but they had 0 accessories for it. Guess I'll order my case from Amazon, and rock the case that's in the box till then.

Gotcha, from what I understand if the T-Mobile store isn't considered a high volume store they won't carry the accessories at launch, it will take a couple months if they even get them.
The Karbon case from them is $34.99.

I bought the bundle with the Karbon case, charger and ear buds. Had a $20 referral discount in addition to the sale price.
Is Karbon better then Nylon?
I was able to get a Tech 21 case at my TMO store today.
Sent from my [device_name] using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Picked up the Karbon case yesterday, came to 37.61 (KS sales tax) and buying from OnePlus directly with their shipping is 39 (unless you spend 100 or more for the free shipping)
They also had a Tech 21 case for the 6T.
Tmo employee here, as of right now we don't have much in the way of accessories for the one plus. We only have the OnePlus Karbon, two Tech21 Evo check cases, black and clear, Pure-Gear screen protector, and the OnePlus car dash charger. As time goes on and popularity grows than maybe more, I don't work in purchasing so I have no idea.

Unfortunately no. You need to ship it back to return it.
