Try it and tell me that if it working correctly or not.
Hi, all whi were saying that it doesn't work, as it is made for 8.1 so it will not work on 9.0 and also on stable miui 10 their is some internal issue thats why it is not working, it is very buggy.

I think it's the same bsg apk...

Not even starting on Los 16.

Night sight not working.

Isn't working for me, Miui 10 8.10.25 eu

Starts but crashs immidiatly.

Working fine to me. 8.10.25 version

Not working on 8.11.2
Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk

immediately crash on pixel experience

Night mode dont work in my poco f1, android 8.1.0, miui 10.0.4.0

Working great only slow motion is not working
Sent from my [device_name] using XDA-Developers Legacy app

app works but no difference between normal mode and night mode
Tried in low light and same exact result
Also the silly bug that makes the app lags or almost freeze after 2nd photo is still here

this night mode is not working, bsg has explained this before

Night sight takes picture but the quality is same as normal hdr+ mode. It doesn't open shutter for 4, 5 seconds as in pixel google camera. My device runs miui 10 on oreo 8.1

Does it even have the correct lib in it to enable night sight?

Does Google Cam with portrait mode work on Miui 9 Stock ROM ?

I bought this phone a couple of days ago for my mum and updated it to Miui 9. I'm currently waiting for my 72h waiting period to end before I unlock the bootloader. Since this phone is for my mum, she wouldn't care about the ROM installed. The only reason I'm rooting the phone is to enable camera api2 so that google camera port can work. What I'd like to know is does google camera with portrait mode work on the Miui 9 ROM because if it does I wouldn't see the need to install a custom ROM ?

Short answer nope. Only hdr works in the ported cam, and video recording. Trying portrait mode or slow motion force closes the app. The only app in which portrait mode works, is the google camera app which you get with gapps. The background blur feature in it works absolutely fine.
It works fine. BSG v1.4 pixel 2 "walleye" profile. Enter portrait mode.

Crashing of google camera in good light on oreo and slo mo

How to fix annoying crashing of Google camera in oreo ROMs -> used two ROMs
->Pixel experience 8.1
->NitrogenOS
Build - BSGs latest build of 14-1-2018 (also happens on older other versions by aronova and BSG)
Viewfinder lags and instantly crashes on when clicking a photo. Then it keeps on crashing for 2-3 times.
After that it becomes stable for sometime when used in one go. It doesn't happen in low light conditions
No such crashing issue was witnessed by me on nougat
Also how Can I get slo-mo on my MIDO
Moto camera used to give me nice slo mo videos on Nougat Paranoid
But it doesn't seem to work on Oreo
And the third thing . How to get MIUI camera on an oreo custom ROM.

You probably have an OmniVision sensor. Old drivers used in custom ROMs are very buggy in Oreo. That’s about to change soon.
For now, look here.

Thanks man !! I'll check it out soon and report back to you .

Received 12.0.4 Global today

My 9T Pro received 12.0.4.0 QFKMIXM about 14 hours ago. It went smoothly and I notice I now have more available storage and Have Android security dated January 2021.
I imagine 12.5 of MIUI will be available in the coming weeks. I might wait a while before I upgrade to that. It would be nice to see if there are any bugs in the new rom.
I also received the 12.0.4. in my case I lost the camera with the upgrade. Now the camera app crash everytime I take a picture. It is also impossible to change between lenses. In average I was happy with the phone but I don't understand why Xiaomi is doing always thing like that.
I usually use google cam but I just check the Mi cam and it was fine. Maybe you could try to clear the cache on the cam app and then see if it works.

Thanks for your answer. I tried everything and nothing has changed. Let's see if Miui 12.5 can solve the problem. I think that next week is gonna start the roll out of this version
You could do worse than use this Gcam app. It works well for me. I never use the Mi camera app.

General Update 12.0.10 (DON'T UPDATE)

The phone UI lags as hell. Most of the problems earlier fixed just gone in the wind.
1) Fast charging got slower. Phone charged in an hour, been plugged in for a hour still at 49% (started at 22%), checked, rapid charge showing on lock screen
[Edit2: it took 1 hour 22 minutes to get 100% from 49%]
2) lock screen filled with notifications, messes up with lock screen, its gone weird, looks awful
3) bluetooth connectivity sucks, my earbuds keep lagging, works perfect on other phones
4) phone goes to deep sleep, dosent wakes up untill hardpress power button
5) option to long press window when on recent apps and it showed menu? Gone. Like seriously
[Edit1: the long press now takes to the app settings instead of giving option to split window, lock or float]
6) Vibration stopped working, tried everything
[Edit3: Downloaded a vibration app over playstore, triggered the motor, works alright now]
[Edit4:]
7) Camera quality in video calls has gone to sh*t. Looks like a 480p 2013 chinese phone camera, its horrible. Whatsapp, zoom, skype, instagram, effected all of it.
Can anyone else confirm all this?
I can confirm i have same issues (except 1 & 6 ) MIUI is becoming a really trash these days...
i'm just waiting for Stable Recovery and Stable Custom ROMs (no camera issue) so i can switch to a CustomROM

I'm confused, the mi.com forums they say this rom is global beta
https://c.mi.com/thread-3720381-1-1.html
Maybe that's the reason for these issues?
It seems that the rom from the manufacturer are here:
Redmi Note 10 (mojito) Global Fastboot & Recovery ROM | XiaomiROM.com
Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 (mojito) Global official ROM, include stable, weekly and beta MIUI firmware which can be updated with Recovery and Fastboot (need …
xiaomirom.com
So maybe those who reported those problems downloaded the stable beta instead of the stable? (this rom was in beta status about 4 days ago, and went to stable very recently)

It says its stable in my settings. Idk what they are doing but they surely screwed the software and there is no way to directly report.
Beta stable = Beta
xiaomi.eu just released 12.0.11.0, so maybe they've fixed some of the issues listed above.

I also see in https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/mojito/ they have 12.0.11.0 beta stable available. (not sure why they refer to it as beta stable if it is really beta)

The update showed up on my notifs but was gone after I tapped it, thinking of going manual cause I can't wait. I'm coming from the buggy 12.0.1 A11, how's the overall performance and what about the memory management? Is it finally not as aggressive as before like what they promised with 12.5?
Is the split screen function back in this release?

Can anyone tell me if MIUI 12.5 has LHDC? I got a pair of Mi Air 2S and my girlfriend's Poco X3 Pro with MIUI 12.5 has it.

No it doesn't, I just tested it myself and it only supports up to AAC like usual. LHDC is in developer mode sure but it doesn't activate.
Hows the ram management? Is it still as aggressive as before? The official rom can't sync my 10k contacts because of aggressive ram management and google contacts app.
I tried the xiaomi.eu version and the whole rom was extremely laggy on 12.5.1. I reverted back to 12.0.9. immediately. Is it the same for official rom? Is 12.5.1. laggy?
Lastly, does anyone know if it's safe to install the Indonesian official rom on my Global variant phone?

I'm currently using 12.5.1 Official Global ROM. And I think it's terrible. I can open multiple apps without having to worry one will close even if it's a heavy game. BUT! The normal background apps that worked fine before 12.5 were restarting like crazy. Even the game turbo overlay in games gets closed while in-game (Genshin Impact). Most of the time the refresh rate randomly goes down to 60 or 90 when scrolling which is laggy to our eyes. And my only access to floating window is through game turbo.
I recommend sticking with 12.0.9 for now.

Thanks. Makes matters much clearer. Faced the same issue when I went to Xiaomi.eu 12.5.1. for a while.
