OnePlus 6T Dash Charger - OnePlus 6T Accessories

Sorry for making new thread but as i know, the dash charge or fast charging on OP6T can only be obtained by using appropriate power adapter and cable ( OEM one of course ). I wonder if i can buy ones for OP6 or OP5T from amazon to use for OP6T?
I'm looking for a spare set for my workplace and in car. Do you have any recommendation? Also, do i need a special cable for data sync so i can obtain max transfer speed?
Have any one been using this ? For car charger.

How about the data sync? Can we reach max potential in data transferring since the cable is USB2 i assume.

In theory, no it's still 2.0. But, I haven't noticed much slower writing than with my USB 3.0 cables. I will have to try reading from my OP6T and see if it's storage is any faster than previous phones, and if there's any real world difference in cables. But, these are the only cables other than the stock OnePlus that give me the Dash charge symbol on the lockscreen, so they met my intended goal.

So i will try using any USB3 cable and test copying a huge file. I tried copying some file yesterday and i felt it pretty slow.

The 6t only has 2.0 data speeds as far as I know

I just did some reading on oneplus forum and seem like transferring speed is cap at usb 2.0..... Sound like 2014 phones, slow transfer speed and no external SD card. It would be painful to save full backup in PC.

Best bet is still usb cable to i guess.

SGS2 to have USB OTG?

I can't believe my eyes but the specs page on Samsung's website says it has USB OTG!!!!!!!!!!! I can finally use my portable DAC with this beast!
Check under Connectivity
galaxys2.samsungmobile.com/html/specification.html
That's great news for us audiophiles; I actually just sold my UM3Xs to help find for new stiff (the galaxy2 mainly) . I don't really listen to music that much anymore though.
my Fiio E7 USB DAC is also happy for it!
I just need to find short USB mini to micro cable.
Sorry if this might be a n00b question, but I don't seem to be clear on the subject. Will this allow for me to attach a usb harddrive or usb-stick as add-on storage via a usb-micro-usb connector?
Thanks

Yes, it should work providing the microUSB port can provide enough power to drive your HDD (or if it comes with an adaptor).
I remember having USB OTG on one of my Cowon players and it made life so much simpler when I wanted to copy somebody's music over to my player, or pictures from a camera. Only question is, what kind of devices will Samsung give us support for (I guess once they give out the kernel sources this should become less of an issue).

SGS2 isn't the world's thinnest smartphone. I read an article on Engadget saying a recently released Japanese phone is.
Fine, I'll concede that. Let me rephrase: Being an extremely thin smartphone, it doesn't really make sense to have a full USB port does it.

Yea, there's this 2.2 Android phone coming out that is a couple of tenths of a mm thimbleful; however, there are things called set points which are the minimum points where we can discern differences. I think 8 mm give or take a tenth reaches that.

I bought this on an impulse and haven't used it recently. I think it only has one full size usb so you probably couldn't connect the hard drive and the phone at same time, although the card reader may work while wired to phone. It creates its own network or Hotspot so more than one device can see it, it can also be connected to wifi and will pass-through that signal.
It seems that if hdd doesnt work i need to search alternative storage expansion...using hdd with an adapter is a hassle cause need to carry more stuff...i need to be able to bring it to me all the time...128gb sd card is a little expensive to me now...but maybe later will switch to it...but now i will use this 64gb flash drive dual otg i found...small capacity but easy to use..it will do for now.....

Do you already have the hard drive? I was assuming you did, if not there are wireless ones with the function of that Kingston device. Seagate has this one for example, comes in three storage sizes, is rechargeable and creates its own wifi network.

Just got my NP and Need advice - Ethernet and USB long side

Hello
Just got my new Nexus Player and after long search I can't find the right answer.
I want to connect the player to my Ethernet in my house for better connection and if possible to add an external HDD.
Here is my list of questions and I hope that I've got the the right place:
1. I want to have the maximum network speed and I have Giga cables in my walls . Is there a standards in the adapter that I need to buy to have the maximum speed? Or all the adapters have the same speed limit?
2. Is there a way to connect both Ethernet and USB HDD long side? Is there a magic box that have USB and also an Ethernet connection? If there is I would like to get an advise what is the best one to buy.
If someone have an experience what the items I need and have an advice what is the best to buy - I will love to get some links.
Many thanks in advance

You'll need an OTG cable, a USB 2.0 hub (a powered one if you're going to hook up non-powered hdd), and then just about anything you want will work through the hub. For expanded storage you'll need to root and install stickmount. If you want to install large games then you may need foldermount as well.
Sorry for posting the same issue for the 5th and many thanks for helping me - now it's time for shopping

In Amazon type in "ethernet USB hub", many results will come up. Here is a link to the first one. I don't know for sure if it is compatible or not though.
AnkerĀ® 3-Port USB 3.0 HUB with 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet Converter (3 USB 3.0 Ports, A RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet Port, Support Windows XP, Vista, Win7/8 (32/64 bit), Mac OS 10.6 and above, Linux) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KGV7I9Y/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_-ifUub140WKQG
The problem is that even if the adapter supports full Ethernet speed the USB port on the nexus player will not.
So, you should get the benefit of a stable connection... But it will never be beyond USB 2.0 speeds.
I am connected to 2.5ghz wireless N and I haven't had a problem with 1080p Netflix, no stutters on YouTube and modern combat 4 and 5 both play with no lag.

Can anyone tell me why my USB flash drive doesn't always mount with my Nexus player? I've got a powered Plugable USB hub, with my pny 32gb fat32 format USB drive.
It keeps switching names and sometimes doesn't show up at all until after I rerun stickmount.
This happens after waking from sleep as well. I'm obviously rooted and unlocked what am I missing?
Also how do I activate pro on stickmount after I've purchased it. I just get a weird screenshots about the pro version when clicking upgrade....

I have been using OTG to transfer files from and to my galaxy devices and it is working very well
But the sad news is that our note pro cannot give enough power to portable HDD ( the ones i used were 1Tb and 2tb, on my note 3 and my note edge they work but not on the note pro)
You can connect flash memories and anything that consumes low voltage like a mouse or a keyboard or a flash memory

I'm not looking to connect hdd's.
I already have planned what I'm doing.
First of all I'm gonna find some way to strap it to the back of the tablet case, and then, I got 1 for now, ultra fit usb flash drive, which will go in one of the usb ports.
I got a memory stick pro duo adapter which I can slot two of my micro sd cards into, and then stick it in the otg.
And then one micro sd card in an sd card adapter to put in the sd card slot. :3
This thing makes no sense. It's great yeah, but it's weird, it can have three flash drives or usb devices running at once, but when it comes to cards of any kind, you can only use one at a time, even if one is in a usb adapter, it still won't allow two.
It makes no sense, usb all you want, but cards only one. Why?

Can you send a picture of what you have and how you connected them to the note pro?

Sorry, just came across this post. Here are several methods I use; a 128Gb Sandisk USB 3 thumb drive [http://a.co/9OVzdu5 ] and a USB 3 OTA adapter [http://a.co/jfMs2Yq ] along with the 128gb micro card in the device. If you need terabytes, get a wireless battery powered portable hard drive [http://a.co/fzM9ZPi], it works on mine. I also had a spare 240gb mSATA card from when I replaced my laptop drive. I bought a case for it and use that - the tablet has enough power to use it. Finally, I have connected a self-powered 2 Tb desktop drive with good results via the OTG cable. It just takes a while when opening your file explorer. Last, but not least, you can connect to your NAS via WiFi [ I use QNAP, and have accessed it from everywhere that I've visited that had good inet speeds via the QNAP apps]
Do you have more info on QNAP? Where to get it for instance? Is it in the Play Store?

QNAP is a hardware vendor for Network Attached Storage units - look on Amazon or NewEgg. I got the empty 2 bay one and loaded some spare drives I had laying around so I have 2 Tbytes mirrored now. Their apps allow remote access for files, music and movies to their devices.

There's no way. The USB-C in Mi 9 is only USB 2.0, not even 3.0 so forget about Thunderbolt 3. You can only get at best 20-30 MBps, it's the best practical speed a USB 2.0 can achieve.

Wtf, USB 2.0 is 480Mbps, 48Mo/s.
Unless your Mi 9 is the only device connected to a 5ghz router, a cable will be the best option you got.

That's the THEORETICAL limit (60MBps actually, divide by 8 instead of 10 for more well known understanding), which no PRACTICAL implementation ever reaches. The best one was something around 41MBps, but it's an externally powered drive instead of embedded one in a phone chipset.

FTP depends on the general network speed (+a little overhead), the best you can get is a from the best 5GHz router. But still, 1Gbps is the best you can get. Remember, the best, not average. Actual speed will vary up and down, and can be a lot if the router quality is not good. To get 20Gbps, you need at least Thunderbolt 2. No smartphone ever created ships with it.
