The Toolkit is called the Toolbox apk. Unfortunately afaik it consists of more then alone the toolbox.apk. When I debloat them I have to remove all :
Code:
ui_print(" - Removing Toolbox");
delete_recursive("/system/priv-app/Toolbox");
delete_recursive("/system/app/CalculatorMF_ZTE");
delete_recursive("/system/app/Gradienter");
delete_recursive("/system/app/HandingPaint");
delete_recursive("/system/app/NoiseTest");
delete_recursive("/system/app/Protractor");
delete_recursive("/system/app/Ruler");
delete_recursive("/system/app/ZteCompass");
endif;
So installing the toolbox.apk alone wouldn't do a great job.
But if you want you can try them installing one by one and see how that goes. Do mind, these ones are not deodexed and need the oat etc...so I don't give that much chance.
Here you go : A2017G-N-B12-ToolboxApks

Hello I'm interested in this too
Is possible to deodex and then run inside Oreo stock ROM ?

Can somebody please make a tool or script that can mod apps to support muti-dpi? It would be really helpful!
Or atleast help us understand HOW to make the apps Multi-DPI, hey devs if you can please do tell us about it.
The texdroid doesnt work & xposed appsetting causes problems while logging on to certain apps.
I have the 910G COL3 XSA 5.1.1 variant on stock rom rooted.
You want touchwiz apk .with odexed it is not easy because "odexer tool" not supporting the android 5.1.

So basically is it impossible to mod the app for multi-dpi support and repackage it into an odexed apk?
I wish something could be done without installing xposed framework!

[PORT][6.0.1][G900F or N5 thunderbolt]Contacts, Tasks, And Apps Edge Panel

Introduction
"This mod will let you add contacts, tasks, and apps edge panel from S7 on your non edge/edge+ Samsung device. (On Marshmallow Firmware)." - cited from jovy23.
See screenshots attached. It only works on deodexed ROMs. As you are modifying system files, this could lead to bootloops so please make a full backup before.
Download the files according to your current rom. Most of the mods are from alexndr's devbase, my main rom due to its speed, stability, and great atmosphere in the thread. I will add more according to requests and my personal use.
Downloads
- Thunderbolt N5 Pure Rom : mega v1.2 (G900F and G900W8)
- CPE2 : mega v1.1
- CPD7 : mega (works also on CPB8 according to post n16) v1.1
Installation
Reminder : you need a deodexed rom for it to work
- Backup your partitions. This mods the framework and can induce bootloops.
- Download the linked files, and flash them (e.g. using TWRP or flashfire)
- Reboot and the edge screen can be seen on the right of the screen!
- If you want to be able to download additional edge apps from the Galaxy Store, you will need to edit the file /System/build.prop, and replace "ro.product.model=SM-G900F" by "ro.product.model=SM-G935F", then reboot
Bugs
Lightning shows in options, but isn't active
People edge error
Change log
1.1 : flashable zip
1.0 : initial release

I have tested it only on a deodexed CPD7 rom for SM-G900F. It could work on other roms or variants, but I can't guarantee it. It should only work on deodexed ROMs. As you are modifying system files, this could lead to bootloops so please make a full backup before.
Installation
- To install, download all linked files, extract them, and copy them with root access to your /system/.
You will either need to set the right permissions, or use File Explorer to copy the files. This app is free, including its root addon, and automatically sets the permissions.

Thanks! On which devbase did you test it? CPD7 also?
I wonder if the framework changes a lot between 6.0.1 versions, therefore if I need to remake the mod for each devbase (e.g. CPE1)... Also for me the people stripe does not work. I am still trying to find a way to make it work.

If you provide me with a copy of the following files, I can make it for you. Also please give me your rom version (ex: G900FXXU1CPD7). I think that the fact that the rom works or not should depend on the rom version (framework version) and not on the phone model.
I need :
- floating feature.xml from the folder \system\etc
- services.jar and framework.jar from the folder \system\framework
Also it will only work if you are using a deodexed rom

I'm sorry, your rom is not deodexed so it can't be modded with this method.
For deodexed rom, there is a file within the framework.jar that contains the files that need to be modified (classes.dex). In odexed rom, such as yours, the classes.dex files are deleted and replaced by odex files that are not accessible according to my current knowledge.
v1.1 update
Changes from 1.1:
- flashable zips for easier installation
- available both for CPD7 and CPE2
- people strip working (probably)
Downloads :
- CPE2 v1.1 : mega
- CPD7 v1.1 : mega

[req] galaxy s7 / note 7 grace notification bar for galaxy s5 stock android 6

Dear Community,
For modding the extreme debloated Stock "SUPERLite MiNi MM" (thx @vincom), i'm seraching a Samsung Galaxy S7 / Note 7 Grace Notification Bar System UI or Overlay to apply. Unfortunaley, i had no luck with installing overlays like the S7 Geris UI Mod, everytime it ends in System UI Crashes
Tried from several Roms to apply the SystemUi but this of course crashes too and destroys the hall rom.
Does anyone know how to mod the SystemUi from Above like Having a Galaxy S7 or even better, an Note 7 Grace Device? I suceed installing Grace Call App and SMS App, but no there for the Notofication Bar
Any help is highly appreciated
Well you need to be patient, it is very hard to port system ui for any device, it requires a lot of knowledge because of the framework.
You are probably right! Just wanted to know if i maybe missed something out there Thank you very much for let me know
Should though somebody at some point in time have a solution, i would highly appreciate, if he or maybe she could let us know in here :good:
Any information /tutorials to try something?? Some developers had port them to their roms may can help us?!

Grace UX Telefon App ist working (thanks @Ragazzza) just by installing as zip, have a look here: https://goo.gl/scvCnr)
You can install the Grace SMS App (thanks @Albe95) by just putting the attached file into system/priv app and giving it the right permissions (rw-r-r). But IMPORTANT: If u already have a working Default SMS App, you have to put the File in the same archive as the existing one, copy the name of the old one and rename the old one to .bak, then rename it to the old one (without .bak! Backup!)

[HELP] Deodex Pixel SystemUI

Hello, I would like to modify my systemui to get 3minit battery mod working on my Google pixel XL.
I've deodexed system apps in the past using baksmali, but these new odexed system apps now have a systemui.vdex file as well as a systemui.odex file to go along with the systemui.apk.
Couldn't find much about the vdex files other than it's allegedly optimized dex code. I looked at jesusfreke's website and most of the threads on there were way above my comprehension level lol.
Can anyone help me out to get started on deodexing this app?

The latest baksmali and smali can't handle vdex files yet, as far as I can tell. There's an open issue about it here: https://github.com/JesusFreke/smali/issues/555
Looks like we have to wait, sadly. This always every time Google make a new version of Android - they keep odexing files in different ways. Good for the user, but very annoying for the modder!

It would be nice if someone can port the stock launcher with app drawer to a rootless v20.
They released a reworked stock launcher with app drawer on the v30, and we are still running something that belongs to the android Lollipop days.

Let's hop so.
The stock lg v20 apps need an update.
Samsung does a better job at this, they post all their apps on APKmirror, I remember having the s8 launcher, messages app, phone app... installed on my note 5 via apkmirror.
LG's software team is like 2 guys who spend most of their day trying to figure out how to make lg's skin like samsung. (and badly failing at it).
Also, if you read the review, everyone is praising the lgv30 as being the new underdog and whatever, the same as it was with the v20. Non of these reviewers actually use an LG phone, because none of them says anything about the POOR software support. It's terrible.
I know I might not post on topic but anyone know where can I find lg calander and lg clock?
Or someone can post it please
Thx
Would it be possible to install any of these apks in collaboration with the V20 stock apps?
For example; install V30 music player but keep the V20s stock player intact?

Don't know if that will work. Being you have doubles going on and conflicting. Doesn't hurt to try. What's the worst you can do.. won't open, force close..... Try adding a number to file and APK, anything that can create a double just change name by adding number, like, lgcam2 would be the V30. That way it doesn't conflict. Just a thought.

Most like this would require one of the apk versions (v20 or v30) to have edits to the android-manifest of a decompiled apk. Reason being the package name of the apk's rarely change, even it the name of the app does.
So if you included both versions in the system, even if they were named differently, the system would get overloaded when it calls for a package and gets two answers.
Now l if the v30 apk's have new package names this could work without major edits. One way to check the package name is by using Tib and click on the app in question from the list. Then click on the section shown in the screenshots.
If the package names are different, easy stuff for someone to include both version, if the are the same, then you will need someone with more advanced knowledge of modding apks. I do not suggest the later for anyone unless you really know what you're doing.
Good idea though. I may look into adding some of thes options when i have more free time.
If anyone has installed a particualr v30 app and would like to see these options available in an Aroma pa kage or similar mod, post the details and we can put something together!
i've tried the most common way, downloading the system dump. extracting and push to the directory, LgHome, LGeasyhome, and lg backup launcher. set permission and reboot. now lg launcher FC, lol. i've already made a backup of those original apk/odex and restoring them. looks like we need experience porter since copy paste method didnt work.

I am happy to see people are reading and participating in development! That's what this place is about right?
Thank you for the words!
I would like to know if anyone can confirm any of the v30 apps work and if so which ones?
I only ask because I believe the v30 is running UX6 and wouldn't thing many of any apps would work for our older version UI.
I am sure the UX6 port rom would have better luck, but I am not sure since I haven't looked much into this.
Anyways, like I said, glad to see people making backups amd experimenting with different things!
Good job guys!
Btw, how did you create the backup? Just copied the files to a know location and tranger back via recovery or adb?
Or did you create a flashable zip?
If you don't have a flashable zip for easy recovery let me know and I cam send you a template zip and quick instructions on how to create the zip in seconds from your phone.
nahh.. i had no idea about making flashable backup even adb seems little hard for me. for testing launcher i've installer third party launcher and make a copy of everything inside /system folder. and put it back once i messed something

That is one way, however can get very time intense if you are changing out a batch of files with libs, xml etc.
For that I like the zip method. I have went ahead and written a quick tutorial for how to create the flashable zip and uploaded my zip template so you or anyone who needs it.
Check this post.
Good luck and feel free to reply in that thread for any questions
Has anyone tried v30's music player?
Does it has any improvement against v20's?
So do any of these apps work? Anybody tried them?
